Hi @unamijeremiah7059! Thanks for your interest in the guides! We use Strayer-Upton, Book 1 in Arithmetic, Years 2 and 3. We then move on to Strayer-Upton, Book 2 for Arithmetic, Years 4, 5, and 6. For general placement, we recommend looking over the Guides' Big Ideas covered each year to get a general sense of where your student lands (beautyandtruthmath.com/the-guides-big-ideas/). Once you have a general idea of what year your student could be placed in, you can see the Guide's Details to see how each week is broken down (beautyandtruthmath.com/guides-details/). I put my 3rd grader in yr 2. Before purchasing this guide she hated HATED math. We are almost done for the year and it's so amazing how much she has changed. The lessons are short and sweet but she is memorizing multiplication without complaints. I feel that even putting her "a year behind" , she is still pretty much right on level because the guides are so mastery focused. I purchased level 3 on Black Friday sale and will be buying level 4 in the fall :)

Hi @daisyrios6463! Our customers do need to purchase the Strayer-Upton Books alongside the Arithmetic guides. They also need to buy Lessons in Experimental and Practical Geometry to use with the Practical Geometry Guides. I wrote the Elementary Algebra to be all inclusive to save our customers money since we ask them to buy a graphing calculator that they’ll use through high school (and beyond in college for those that attend it).
