You’re a really good guy I appreciate the fact you spend time with your family that’s a very important thing good job and how your information is always good thank you this is six in a row Jim From Kennerdell Pennsylvania
Awesome content and information! Thanks again for sharing the knowledge. That definitely helps answer a bunch of questions and give insight of what direction to go! Would you ever run triple 14 mms?
CP3 have come a long way for sure! You mentioned mixing pump sizes and one thing I've discovered is... DON'T! Unless you can live with an annoying surge. And on the leaking rail pressure sensor, it's a manufacturing tolerance issue. Believe it or not, they are supposed to be a one-time torque item. I didn't know that until I chased my ass for months on a leak.
Would a fleece powerflo be okay for dual stock s&s supersport cp3's with 200% and really conservative tuning? It's what I have with my VP truck that I am going to convert to 6.7CR. Idle sits ~16-16.5, 15 cruise, and no less than 14 no matter how long I stand on it with Quadzilla Adrenaline V2 maxed out tuning. I'm going to go to a 6.7CR with garrett compounds G42 73/91-82/75 1.01 T4 with steed speed T4 turbosmart 45mm high psi gating into G55 106/144-112/106 1.24 v-band inlet. I'm going for the most hp I can as clean as possible. Fully built girlded small cam milled intake shelf with stock replacement shelf. Or do you think I shoukd go with 250-300% injectors and have even shorter duration?
Need some help with my cp3 r70! I mounted a cp3 pump on my vw 2.0 and i cant figure it out how to calibrate the metering valve … Builds too much pressure at idle and the car shuts off. Any ideas on how i can solve this problem?
Josh, any advice for quieting down the gear lash noise from an S&S CP3 conversion for a '19? I did the no tune pump and it's noisy as hell. I just pulled it out the other day and phased it to engine TDC and double checked bolt torque values but it's still clattering under light loads and when letting off the throttle. S&S says it ain't causing harm and the truck does run great, it's just annoying and borderline embarrassing. Thanks again for another informative video. 👍
we are currently installing exergy 12mm pump on a late 5.9 curious as to what fuel line modification is going to be like. great content man thanks for the info.
I called DDP about remanufacturing my pumps and what options I have. I was told they dont make pumps. They have an outside vender with their branding. Since many "new" pumps have cores, I was hoping they could resize my pumps. I have been googling this topic in many ways, but I am coming back dry. Please shed some light on this topic and shops who resize or reman pumps.
With the increased flow of the CP3, do you increase the line size from the tank? I have noticed a difference in performance from the airdog, drawing from the top of the tank as the tank level lowers. I can only imagine if I increased output it would be even worse.
Your issue is the draw straw. If the factory sump cup is damaged or the straw that happens more commonly known as the 'quarter tank issue'. You can either take it apart and insure its all good or drill a hole in the bottom of the tank and install a sump.
07 5.9 hard start after warm. Like 30 seconds crank plus. LOWWWW FRP while cranking. Motor cold fires right up. Pour water on hot cp3 it’ll fire right up. Brand new 30% injectors and tubes brand new fca brand new lift pump in tank brand new fuel pressure sensor. Any ideas? Hard start while warm or “hot” but fires up cold all day. Runs like a champ when it’s on also.
@@horsetorquesdiesel I just had the lift pump installed professionally so I would “assume” it’s correct. I just ordered a brand new relief valve today and will put that in tonight. I have all tubes torqued at 37 ftlbs. I’ll Venmo you 100 if you help me solve this problem
06 g56 truck, idle is great while warming up, after warm up it will sometimes go up and down as does rail pressure. Do you think it's the pressure thing on the cp3? Stock truck
@@horsetorquesdiesel awesome to see you all over the comment section.. 👍 If possible I'd like to pick your brain once again about my (455,000 miles ) 03 & transmission work. I spoke to you a few times when you were at power driven diesel. I understand you're a busy guy and I'm willing to pay you for a (phone conversation) few minutes of your time . can I get in touch with you ? , if so , where can I find the business number?👍👍
@@horsetorquesdiesel How about 2004.5, HP? Have Smarty S06 POD, but I need some custom tuning bad, my compounds really don't like any of the Smarty REVO tunes.
@@horsetorquesdiesel Jesus I’m way behind on the news 😂 some day I’ll have to catch up I got rid of my 02 and bought a 08 6.7 I have so many questions for you
