thank you so much for all the things you share. in push - there is session view and note view/ and if I want to start record on the session view somthing with the note view, usually I miss the beggining of the recording on the way from back and forth do you have any trick of doing this live?

Hey! thanks for the video. Can I use all these "bands" parallel? for example, I set a low-cut at "1" and a "high-cut" at "2" and both work parallel?

This video was very helpful!!!! I actually plan on purchasing Ableton Live 11 Standard, but I'm not sure if I should purchase the Push 2 bundle of just purchase the Novation Launchpad X and Ableton Live 11 standard? Any advice?

Happy it was helpfull! I bought the push 2 bundle long time ago when I was still a student and I have not regredded it! I would say it depends on what your budged is and what you want to do with Ableton Live. Push 2 is the ultimate control for Live but Launchpad is easier to travel with and it’s cheaper (less cababilities) :) both are awesome just depends on what is best for you.

If i did some EQ on mid/side mode and then change it back to stereo mode,does the mid/side EQ still on effect? Can i do two modes in 1 EQ? Or do i have to put 2 EQs in thr chain (first EQ forStereo Mode and another EQ for mid /side mode)?

If I group two audio files and throw the EQ on the group to use the L/R..... do I have to pan the two audio files left & right or does it know automatically?

Can you mute/solo each frequency separately? So that you hear only “that selected frequency”? Lets say, you are mixing guitar, and you want to hear only the mid frequency, can you do that with EQ 8?

Nice one thanks. General Ableton question.......... I bought 10 standard after the 90 day trial in the summer. Do Ableton offer any delas on upgrading once they release a newer version? Just wondering when 11 gets released if i'll be able to upgrade 10 or if they kill off previous versions?

Oh my gosh! I think you would only get a free update if you bought Ableton Live 10 starting this month. But you can email Ableton to ask if you can still get the free 11 update. Say you are a student, this will help you a lot 😉

I'm just now starting to learn about EQ. But what confuses me, Lina, is how do I know which filter to select? Let's say I select the number 4 filter. But with all filters, they can go up and down in the frequencies. So, what do I need to listen for to select the right filter? I understand this will be dependent on the music.

The filter depends on the purpose. Check out my mixing course on my channel. In that I explain the purpose of EQ and that might answer your question better.

Hey I bought the akai mpk249 and got the ableton for free with the purchase of the akai but I can’t seem to fine the “eq8” option on my software and it’s driving me crazy because it looks cool to use for your sounds what else can I do ? Can anyone help me on how to get the eq8?

Welcome to the Ableton fam! Unfortuntaly the version you got for free does not have EQ8. It only comes with Standard and Suite versions :)
