What happens when etchent is applied on tooth surface for too long?
@dentalkart
@dentalkart 4 месяца назад
Over Etching can demineralize tooth dentine (the layer beneath the enamel) reduce the strength of the dental bonding, and make it difficult for the bonding to adhere to the tooth.

what happens if i simply remove the etchant with air instead of rinsing with water?
@dentalkart

For best results, always rinse etchant with water, not just air, to ensure complete removal. Air alone leaves residues that can weaken the bond and affect restoration quality. Thankyou

Dear Doctor, Blowing air alone may not be sufficient to completely remove all traces of the etchant from the surface.

Hi, what if accidentally falls into gum or tongue?
@dentalkart
@dentalkart 5 месяцев назад
Nothing to worry about, If etchant accidentally contacts the gums or tongue, it should be rinsed off immediately with water to prevent irritation.
