Very informative, clear video, thank you so much! Can people with atopic skin have these procedures done as well? Do I risk allergies to Radiese or Profhilo? My skin has always been extremely thin but with age it is getting dry and slowly crepey, therefore my interest in these treatments.

Hi Ewa, thanks for your kind feedback and really interesting question! It largely depends on the severity of your atopic dermatitis but personally I would proceed with care. At the moment there are some preliminary reports that Profhilo might be ok to use with atopic dermatitis BUT its still early days. There is an ongoing clinical trial testing Profhilo on patients with atopic dermatitis so I would wait till the results of that come back. I would probably avoid Radiesse as its not dissolvable and I'm not sure there are any studies on its effect on atopic skin. In your case its probably best to see a dermatologist who provides Profhilo as they may combine it with another treatment to reduce risk of inflammation/allergy. They may also want to do a patch test to see how your skin reacts to the treatment. In the mean time, have you tried using creams with hyaluronic acid to see how your skin reacts to that?

@@CitySkinClinic Thank you very much for the swift reply, I do appreciate! I have never tried products with hyaluronic acid before. My dermatologist suggested the StriVectin anti-wrinkle hand cream (US made) which I have been using for a month without any effect (no negative side effects either). Since more and more patients seem to suffer from dermatitis including atopic, I hope the treatments addressing our needs are soon available. It's surely better to start with hands than with the face in this case. I will write feedback as soon as I have any news about Profhilo. Greetings from Belgium!

You're super welcome! I StriVectin has a lot of good ingredients that may help with skin quality. It can however take upto 3 months to start seeing noticeable results with topical skincare products so as long as it's not doing any harm, I would persevere and see if it does anything. You're absolutely right about dermatitis and how common it is. I'm happy to put up some content about which non surgical aesthetic treatments can work or should be avoided with dermatitis including different skin preps etc. Please let me know if there are any specific topics you think would be useful!

@@CitySkinClinic Oh yes! That would be lovely of course! I personally recommend Ziaja Med (Polish brand) for atopic skin disorders. There are a few good French producers as well. The problem is make-up and bio cosmetics with oils. It is also important not to try HIFU and other in-clinic treatments on atopic skin. Am suffering horrible effects myself. What I find useful and not often addressed as derma-topic is seborrheic dermatitis (huge problem with the masks last 2 years). Many of my colleagues especially men find it particularly disturbing, applying pharmaceutical creams painful, etc...

You're welcome! Most reputable medical aesthetic clinics offer treatment with Radiesse. You can go to Radiesses' website to find featured clinics or look on Realself for clinics that offer treatment with it.

At 23 in my honest opinion you won't experience the maximum effect of hand filler so it may end up being a waste of your time and money. I would double check that you don't have eczema as that can give this appearance. If it's just very dry skin on your hands which is causing wrinkles then there are a few things you can do at home. You can use an exfoliating acid toner (something like 5% glycolic acid or mandelic/lactic acid if you have sensitive skin or skin of colour). Just remember to patch test before first using it. There are plenty of products at the drug store designed for the face that will work there. The other is to use a hydrating hand wash that won't dry out your skin. Then follow up with a really rich thick like eucerin or Cerave cream. At night try applying a thin layer of the same cream or vaseline and wear gloves. You'll see a big improvement quite quickly. Also make sure you're moisturising through out the day, avoiding dehydrating hand washes and wear gloves when its cold outside.
