Libra Rising sounds more like me, then my Western Rising sign which is Scorpio. Except, I had a very chaotic childhood, there was no order and discipline was more abuse by angry parent.

I had a horrible secret and it came out from my mother to all family so she could use it to benefit my brothers. It did not benefit them and also hurt me a lot. She used me 😑 maybe this happened cuz i have pluto in scorpio.

Its in second house of family values and early childhood, family exposing my secrets in an act of abuse of power. How things happen depends of all chart placements and aspects. Happily the same did not happened to you. I did not say that pluto in scorpio does this and that, thats just my interpretation concerning my own chart.

Goodness as someone loaded with Libra I have to admit I’ve never really looked at how my ascendant placement affected me. I’ve just had my childhood which was run by the clock explained - I rebelled. My husband and his family explained. My husband is energetic bold and dances to the beat of his own drum. His parents had massive ups and downs but they were sincerely in love. I can’t sit down still for long and often have to travel. I have moved town and countries many times in my life both as a child and an adult. Many of my friends refer to me as a rollingstone. I’m forever changing things suddenly which I’ve considered a reflection of a managed childhood. I’m in a health profession! Since as long as I can remember I’ve been interested in spirituality and alternative expressions of spirituality. Im really very very picky about who and what I give energy, time and money to and can easily walk away if thing don’t suit or sit right with me. I absolutely adore deep meaningful psychological subjects and conversation I do get bored quickly with the trivial. This was interesting and I’m going to look into my ascending placement more now. It’s weird but listening to this presentation (thank you) made me excited just to be me and be ok with that to. ummmm. Oh and ps there is a family secret which I won’t even discuss with my family much to their annoyance.

I thoroughly enjoyed it as I've always wanted to know more about my Rising sign and I understand the 12th house more, where Virgo happens to be. As for giving I'm generally a very generous person anyway and always have been, because it gives pleasure and satisfaction to share. But I've had to limit whom I share with because of feeling drained energetically. But I can honestly say I don't give to receive and that's not how I view life when I do. The only thing I'd personally disagree with and not just with you, but other astrologist for my midheaven and IC. For me I did have controlling parents (Capricorn Mom Leo Dad) but they lacked structure. I actually disliked the way I was raised because of it. I wanted|needed a parent to be more structured with me to help guide me. Instead I just got emotionally Controlling Parents who only cared about themselves and their own self interest. They were cold though so thats correct. If I had structure I feel like I would have went further in life. Since I never learned it as a child and I still struggle with it into my adult life. My parents were also both factory workers. They didn't have glamours jobs. :)

Sun: aries / moon: scorpio / ascendant: libra. I have most trouble with libra rising. I feel very torn sometimes because I refuse to get help from others but always ask other people if I can help them. Also I always try to solve other people's problems but have trouble getting my own stuff analyzed. Libra rising is really not a balanced thing for those who have it.
My Vedic/Sidereal rising sign is Libra My Western rising sign is Scorpio And I think the Libra was more accurate over all than the Scorpio but I think that I'm a hybrid of both. I will say that when I was about 8 or 9 years old I became obsessed with Astrology and would print out hundreds of pages of information on it and became able to tell someone's zodiac sign off the top of my head by them telling me their birthday. I was obsessed for years. I was also obsessed with the Wicca religion, past lives, and reincarnation. I would argue with my family about religious philosophy and how not everything in the bible is factual. And I was basically a smart a** growing up. 😏

Dude, I have Libra rising, but my Sun and Mercury in Leo . . . I have the biggest mouth on the planet. I don't hold back anything about my family. I tell all. I'm a Libra rising. The Capricorn in the 4th house description in this video does not fit my childhood. This description is usually what I find with other astrological sources. I'd like to proposed another way in which Capricorn in the 4th house might show up. For me, my father was absent, and my mother was very addicted and checked out. There was no structure in that I ran loose in the neighborhood without my mother knowing or caring what I was up to, or where I was at. I never did my homework, and my schooling was not any concern, I later dropped out of school. There were no extra curricular activities, or a schedule or consistency of any kind. However, my mother was very disaplinary, but not in a consistent or structed way that made sense. Instead, she was irrate, unpredictable, and domineering. Her go-to was to scream and yell at us, as she was always unstable, pestimistic, and angry. We never knew what to expect, and walked on egg shells. My Capricorn in the 4th could be altered a bit by my Saturn placements: My south node is in Capricorn in the 3rd My Saturn is rx in the 1st in Scorpio conjunct Pluto Rx in 1st Libra My Sun is in Aquarus in the 5th My moon is in Pisces in the 5th My SaturnRx/PlutoRx Conjunct is in a grandtrine with my Moon, and MC (which is in cancer in the 10th).

Same! I had to change my original comment because I had a very chaotic childhood as well. A hard-wroking, alcoholic father who we all loved and a very angry abusive mother. The "discipline" we received was beatings with belts from our mother! I do wonder about birth time affecting these houses, as I born born a little after 9pm. I did not come from a family of people with college degree either, both parents were blue collar workers. My sister and I however did go to college and I graduated from trade school with a massage therapy degree.

I installed the importance of educational qualifications in my children as a way of getting on in life, but didn't influence their descions by threatening what would happen if they didn't get grades. However this did happen in my home life.. And I was constantly threatened which caused inner conflict, fear and even rebellion against the discinplenarian... 😊

Did do a Vedic birth chart? In the Western birth chart it says I'm a scorpio rising, but then I did my Vedic birth chart and turns out I'm a Libra ascendant, which describes me perfectly.

Our chart sound quite similar, you are right life can be a struggle and often of our own making to unfortunately. Your lol is my attitude to. We can pick our self up, dust off, have a smile or a bit of a giggle, see the bright side and just get going again.
