I did go to a chiropractor, and the essay did show a stenosis in my back, and my neck, which weren't there before. I went t him for the dizziness, but I left the practice because he told me nothing, and was hesitant to answer questions. I am going through this exact thing. The grocery store is a hell no. Today, my son had a dentist appointment and I couldn’t even take him because I woke up and felt like I was going to tip over. All blood tests are normal and they cannot find anything. I got a CT of mid section (they thought an artery was being compressed) and MRI of brain (to rule out brain tumor)… had so many tests done… it is literally unbearable. They just told me to hydrate but I have drink the same amount of water every day my entire life and I have never felt like this and I don’t think it’s dehydration and I left my psychiatrist office after she told me it’s just extreme anxiety.. I went to my cardiologist because I thought it was my heart because I have a heart arrhythmia and he gave me a two week monitor and they didn’t find anything crazy on that.. they sent me to an ENT Doctor Who said it could be vestibular migraines and I am waiting on a tilt table test from a specialist that is like six months out to rule out POTS watch a lot of people are getting after having long-haul Covid. The only diagnosis I have had so far is “vestibular migraines” and I’m not even sure that’s it.
I cannot do anything physical. At most, I'll be able to do an hour or two a day of activity on my feet. Then I will randomly get disassociated, lightheaded, and need to hold onto things. Only way I've been able stay in my dark room and watch stuff because it distracts my brain from it. I have bad anxiety and also suffered from a concussion 6-8 months ago. I have no idea where to start on how to fix the issue.

Hi Doctor, for about a month I have had bouts of lightheadedness, feeling faint, and occasionally a brief quick sensation in my head. I would describe it as feeling I’m only 70% there and not fully attentive. But strangely this tends to happen only when sitting down in the car or at a desk/table. Standing I feel 90-95% myself. Any thoughts?

I’m literally having these same exact symptoms. Feel lightheaded, faint, and then every so often I’ll have this sensation where I feel like everything shuts down for a second and I’m gonna pass out, but then I catch myself. For me, I honestly don't have no idea. I have multiple factors that could cause it. From panic attacks, anxiety & GERD. I use Omeprazole for my GERD its helped me sleep, I used to wake up everyday after few hours of sleep with a horrible burning in my throat & cheat. It was horrible, now it's gone thanks to that medication, might wanna ask your doctor what you can have for your acid reflux if its bothering you!

It's lifestyle. What's your circadian rhythm like? Going to bed late? Sleeping in? Different times etc. Hormones become imbalanced, hence the extreme light headedness, palpatations, hair falling out easily, etc. Also check things like b12 and vit D levels.

Okay I have came back now to type a more in depth explanation on my phone so its easier. Back in March 2024 I drank 1.5 frozen coffees from dunkins (im not a coffee drinker anyway) & had some donuts in about a 2 hour span. My heart started racing and I felt like I was having anxiety so I laid down for a minute but it wouldn’t go away; I tried taking a warm bath but felt like I was going to pass out. Called 911 and everything checked out fine; I had SOB & Chest pains from then until about end of July. Chest pains went away but SOB stayed & on came lightheaded (like im going to pass out) & dry mouth as well as fatigued. Shortness of breath has since gone away & dry mouth isn’t there nearly as bad but the Fatigue & Lightheadedness is insane. Its all day every day , no stop in sight. What can cause this? My cardiologist said everything is good , my pcp said everything is good. All my tests are normal including Magnesium & B12 . Please help someone. Life isn’t even enjoyable.

Sometimes I wake up was lightheaded and it freaks me out. I can feel too powerful for me to handle. I will try again drink more water and stay hydrated. Doesn't happen often but, maybe twice a year. It's pretty scary though

This happened to me this morning and I felt like I was fighting to stay conscious. I drank a bottle of water, then sat in the shower for 15 mins… got out, drank more water and laid in bed for an hour until I felt well enough to get up. It’s weird and bodies do weird things.

I just came across this. I've had a series of odd medical issues. They discovered i have mild scoliosis. However they don't link it to any of my symptoms. Ive had backache, sciatica, pins and needles in my hands, severe burning in my left shoulder. I developed a sore throat that lasted a year. Then tinnitus with this weird light headed feeling. My neck gets stiff with it as well and i get a headache. I saw an ent specialist who said my balance was unaffected and that i had visual vertigo. Any ideas?

Hi doc.. I have dizziness and lightheaded.. this is my second time getting it.. Hi Dr, I'm really hoping that you may be able to point me in the right direction for my mother. She's 77 and has been suffering with 'this lightheadedness', as she says, for about ten years, on and off. I'd say over the last 6 years it has gotten much worse to the point now where I feel like we have exhausted many different avenues. The final one is next week where she has been referred to an ENT clinic, where they will do all their tests. She's not deficient in B12 or D, she takes a very low dose blood pressure medication (her dr has reduced the dose and played around with timings of taking the medication to no avail). She also takes thyroxine as she had her thyroid 'killed off' about five years ago to cope with hyperthyroidism, but doesn't take anything else. She's moderately active and not at all overweight. She's recently had her eyes tested and regular checks with the dentist and they are all fine. We live in the UK and I'd be so grateful if there's any way that you could recommend a clinic that does the kind of tests that you describe here. I worry about her falling over and it's at a tipping point where I feel it's stopping her from living her life. Anyway, I understand that you have the whole world asking, but if you could point me in the right direction, that would be amazing. Thanks so much in advance.

This lightheaded feeling came from nowhere. I was given meds. They thought it was my pressure. It’s not working. I’m still looking lightheaded. It’s been going on for a few weeks. Dr. Gregg, I have been dealing with a "mild" form of lightheadedness for about 3 weeks now. Some days it appears to be subsiding. But other days it seems to come back a little stronger, but not to the point of feeling faint. I do have what seems to be slight tightness in my neck muscles starting from my left ear/jaw area, right down to my left shoulder. I also have slight tightness at the base of my scull in back. Dealing with exactly the same symptoms. Some are suggesting it's from increased stress, or wrong head position when sleeping or when working on a PC...
I’ve been dizzy and lightheaded going on 3 months. Been running test all looks good thank god🙏 But unfortunately still experiencing dizziness. Also I go through episodes where I get a rush all over my body get extremely dizzy and my blood pressure increases. Could this be related to Equilibrium/Vertigo. Anyone else experiencing any of these symptoms?
Eat healthy, cold showers, meditate, exercise, lots of water (spring water), and no junk ! Stay safe and take good care it’s not so hard to make better choices.
It turned out it was my middle ear (BPPV) after many visits to the doctors and ER they finally figured it out! My ENT doctor had me do a ENG/VNG test and was able to diagnose the problem! I did my therapy watching RU-vid, I did the upside down somersault for vertigo and it cured my vertigo.
Thanks for you comments. Micronutrients are very complicated. Making a broad statement like you need sodium and potassium can send people down the wrong path.

My 15 yr old daughter suddenly started having symptoms of fading, about to pass out, and dizziness. So far its been a few weeks. Happens mainly at school, but also at home. I took her to the doctor and they ran a blood panel and all seems well. They told her to hydrate more, which she has been doing, but not much improvement. Any suggestions?

Its weird I’m going through the same thing and posted in a social media forum and tons of people said they have the same thing after having Covid. It’s unbearable. It’s this nagging feeling that you’re about to pass out… Went to numerous specialists and they said possible pots and they sent me to an ENT who said it’s vestibular migraines (no headache just dizziness and feeling of floating on a boat). If you find anything out please post here.
Dr. Please help me , after a day of eating special food nearly we were 20 person among them just me vomited and had diarrhea , it's about 7 days i feel dizzy and not balanced from the back of my head.

Have feeling of dizziness and feeling of faint all the time it just happened out of nowhere they did bloodwork and my blood pressure is normal but I do have gastritis do you think that’s causing that

I walk to work everyday which takes me around 20 minutes. After walking,I start feeling lightheaded but it doesn’t happen everyday. Is this a sign of dehydration?
HiDoc, I'm experiencing lightheadedness sometimes pressure on temples and now a sudden bump on the antehelix inferior crus. I'm not nauseas. I had wax in my ears and have used waxsol but it caused some pain. Usedit for 2 days and still lightheaded

I’ve been feeling dizzy every time I get up or when walking for a long time this has been going on for months now I’ve even talked to my doctor all they have said to drink more water and maybe because I’m tall but months later I still have these problems
