Prediction for the next update: there will be a way to open the portal in the ancient city. In the dimension behind the portal are "creakings." They will also be walking around in the ancient city itself, but they are not able to spawn by hearing the sound of a sculk shrieker, but instead they will just be crawling out of the ground randomly when ever the player makes too much sound. (only in an ancient city of course)

just remembered that since they're doing more frequent updates now, if this isnt an end update it doesn't mean we aren't getting an end update next year. On the other hand, since theyre doing multiple updates and Minecraft lives a year, if this isnt an end update, we might never get an end update, because the end update will be a big update and more frequent updates means smaller updates, although they could just add end updates over time
