I'm Muslim loc girlie too ☺, currently combing out my traditional locs that I have had for 3yrs and I am planning to get microlocs for my second set too thank you for sharing this was very informative 💞.
Jesus is King! 👑🩵💕🦋💕🩵 Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Repent and believe in him as your Lord and Savior and you will be saved! God bless! 🩵💕🦋💕🩵 💕🌸🌺Romans 10:9-11 KJV 9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 🌺🌸💕
GIRL, Muslim women have to be SO strong and it must be exhausting! Everyone feeling so free to judge, criticize, and nit pick every “wrong” thing a Muslima may or may not be doing. Wearing a hijab is SUCH a huge responsibility when all it should be is a choice and a visual representation of your love for God. God knows and sees everything and one thing you’ve said time and time before which I completely agree with is God knows your HEART and intentions and that is ALL that should matter. Ok. I’ll shut up now. But sheesh, why can’t we all simply love each other unconditionally Ok ok shutting up no Bye and thank you Tomiwa for being YOU ✨❣️
@@blank1505 so exhausting 🥲 but you’re so right!! What really matters is what’s in the hearts! I wish we could all be a lot kinder towards one another but oh well 🥺 either way, thank you so much for leaving this comment 🩷💕 God bless you!!
@@TomiwaRodia (Ok I’m freaking out because you responded to me 😭 but let me act cool) if I’m being honest with my self and you, that’s probably one of the biggest reasons why I’m having difficulty wearing such a beautiful symbol such as hijab… … I pray one day I have the courage but I ALSO pray people become much, much kinder and understanding. ❤️❤️🩹 Sending you a big hug if you want one of course
I’m not Muslim but I love watching your videos, I learn so much from them. I got bored of shaving my hair off so I’ve been growing my hair out to hopefully get it loc’ed in a few years I plan on getting them installed at home in Nigeria
I was a hijabi for a year and stopped wearing it because I couldn't figure out how to take care of my hair under the hijab (my hair went dry and brittle and started falling out) . I really wish I had found your videos sooner ❤
I'm a black Muslim hijabi and I started my locks about 6 months ago and I would have loved a video like this when I was doing my research thank you for sharing
Omg this video was such a blessing to me. I am a revert who actually had to shave my head because my kids gave me lice from daycare so I started my micro/small lock journey in April and styling my hijab over it is just hard because its in the short and puffy stage. The volume is real. I love it but Ive got to find another hijabi style over it
Nice video girl, I am sure your locks are fire. As far as people making a comment as what is under your hijab( it’s none of their business). When you are around family, you still have to be you and love how you look. I am a Muslim brother and keep representing.
Actually they’re not haram if you can do wudu and the water reaches to your hair you’re fine and not using extensions or any kind of fake hair (I’m saying this from knowledge I did my research a while ago I was thinking about it) again I’ve been thinking about getting micro locks lately I just like the look of it and I feel like they’re easy to maintain. Hair is never supposed to keep you away from worship I hate how a hair style has been stigmatized in so many cultures and house holds.
thank you so much for this informative video. I have relaxed hair, and it was comforting to know that locs can be started with chemically processed hair lol. I'll definitely think about micro locs and locs now because I am tenderheaded and lazy lol.
Been thinking abt microlocs for a while now n boom this video pops up this is a sign clearly lol ❤ I want to dyi them wish me luck I have lots of hair😂
I want to get sister locs so badly but it is heavily stigmatized in my family and culture my brother has regular large locs and he's become the black sheep of the family cause of it 😭
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer palms of hands or one eye or dress like veil, gloves, headcover, apron), and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband’s fathers, or their sons, or their husband’s sons, or their brothers or their brother’s sons, or their sister’s sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islam), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small children who have no sense of feminine sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful.” [al-Nur 24:31]
the problem isnt imitating the kuffar or our ability to make wudu, but its that we cant make ghusl with locs, bc when we make ghusl the water has to touch every part of our body, including all our hair, not just the scalp, but with locs, the water cannot get inside the locs, so we wouldnt be able to properly make ghusl after being on our period, or if you have a spouse, then after spending a night together, and that means we would remain impure and even if we make wudu afterwards, our prayer will not be counted 😞 ive always wanted locs bc they are sooo cute, but at the same time i dont wanna risk my prayers not being accepted :( twists and braids are fine as long as water can get inside as there is no locking of the hair, but not locs 🫶🏽🤍 والله أعلم and Allah knows best! *this was taught by my sheikh (who is black, american, and african) who studied in egypt and has ijaazaat that has a chain of teachers back to the prophet ﷺ 🤍 if you want more information about this i will gladly share it / connect you to him to ask more about this!
@@zecookie salam sis! I completely understand your concern as well as the concern of the sheikh , however, as I mentioned in the video, water IS able to penetrate the locs and touch every strand of hair. As someone who has had locs for over a year, I can reassure you that locs are not water proof or water repellent. It is still natural hair at the end of the day. Locs are no different to any other protective style, they are just semi-permanent twists or braids. As long as there aren’t any extensions in your locs, there shouldn’t be a problem with water touching every part of your head. ESPECIALLY with microlocs. You may have to stand under the shower for a bit longer depending on the porosity of YOUR hair but it is still very much possible. There are sadly tons of misconceptions about locs from people who have 1) never had them, 2) never researched them or 3) had them and neglected them to the point where they accumulated so much build up that they became unsanitary and unmanageable. And #3 can apply to anyone with type 4 hair whether they have locs or not. Either way like you said, Allah knows best! 🤲🏾
@@TomiwaRodia may Allah reward you ^^🤍 بارك الله فيك! you make a really good point, especially about the no extensions! ur explanation makes a lot of sense جزاك الله خير and jazakallah khayr for the thoughtful response 🫶🏽
