i love how you manage to make your 10+ ear piercings look so clean and not cluttered. i find that there are many people who have tons of piercings and their ears look messy. i love your look! this video was super helpful im using your piercings as inspo!
I LOVE YOUR EARRINGS!! And omg your tragus piercing is so pretty. I love that the most too! I think any piercing that isnt on the ear lobes just seems so painful, i just dont have the guts lol!
thank you 😊 idk if this helps at all but if you're scared of pain from the needle, i find that the actual piercing is the easy part. the part i hate is when they put on the jewelry!
if you want any, I say go for it! it is almost never as bad as you think, and even if it hurts, it’s usually over with before you can swear about it :) good luck!
I'm gonna go in chronological order too: 1) you look so pretty with no eye make up, I didn't even realise you didn't wear any mascara or anything until you said it 2) those earrings are so pretty 3) i have the cartilage piercings and I have been in the same situation as you, took forever to heal, I've had it for 3 years now and it has been infected for like 2, just last year I changed the piercing to a loop and I didn't touch it at all, used a cortison cream and desinfected it twice a day for the whole year, and now it has finally healed properly, all's good! 4) you made me want to get a conch piercing 😂
Where did you get your tragus jewelry? What size gem is it? My current gem is too big for my ear I think. We have all the same piercings except I don't have a double helix, just one on that ear. #twins
Tbh, my tragus was the least painful piercing I’ve gotten. I have two forward helix, helix, 3 lobes and the tragus was the least painful. I didn’t feel it at all and it healed COMPLETELY in 3 months. I don’t think your piercer did it correctly
I agree with this! Before i got mine i googled it about the healing process and i was shocked that mine didn't took that long to heal. I was also able to change the earring without pain at all (it was just 2 months at that time)
I love your nose ring! That's actually exactly what I'm looking into as well. May I ask what size the ring is in terms of diameter? I know you mentioned it's a 20 gauge size and that's referring to the thickness of the hoop. I have a small nose so I want my ring to be close to the nose like yours. Thanks very much!
i just checked and my nose ring is actually 24 gauge, my mistake! and it's 1/4" diameter but it really depends on your nose too! you can try buying a set of different sized nose rings from claire's to test out to find your size. you can also try asking your piercer! the good ones i've seen will look at it for 10 sec and tell me exactly what i need. hope this helps and good luck! i just put a link to the etsy shop i custom-ordered from in the descript box if you need it :)
Idk why but this video really relaxed me. Anyway, I got a helix pierced last year and I'm about to get my conch and second helix done, all on my right ear. Also on the right ear I got 3 lobes and I'm so excited for my new piercings! I also maybe want a rook, but I'm not quite sure yet, maybe next year. Everytime I get like a new piercing or I find something that I find pretty I get so excited and I have to get it done xD But I just completely fell in love with them
hi! i know your comment was a while ago, but i recently just got my helix done and am not sure how to clean it properly. i normally just spray saline solution and twist it a bit ( have a ring btw ). my question is how do you clean it and if you dealt with swelling, how'd you help de-swell? thank you!
Amelia Landry the pain really only lasts a couple seconds and as long as you dont touch it and make sure to keep it clean you'll only really notice it if you accidentally bump it but even then it's not painful just a little tug!
Amelia Landry do it! mine is now nearly 3 weeks old and it's the easiest one I ever got! I also sleep on that side and sometimes forget it's there lol. but don't forget *not* getting it done with a ring. just don't. (friends experience) I wish you all the luck and don't be afraid :)
Amelia Landry I have up to my 3rds on my lobes. After that, I got my rook done. I love my piercings but it does have "good days" and "bad days". The piercing didn't hurt much, it was the beginning healing that hurt the most. It wasn't unbearable though. It is more of a mild uncomfortable feeling (unless someone hits it on accident, you hit it on accident, or it's irritated from being touched too much). I don't regret it, I plan on getting my conch next
Honestly, I don't really understand why people worry so much about the pain; it's healing process that gets me 😂 especially if you're like me and suck at cleaning and your lobes are still healing 9 months in... 🤦🏻♀️
My helix is finally fully healed after almost 2 years. After 1,5 years it got badly infected. The woman who pierced it said she had never seen it like this before, but after some antibiotics it went away. Now I don't feel anything anymore! Excited to get some new piercings!
I got my first two holes pierced at Afterthoughts. A little bit over a year apart from each other back in 1994 and 1995. My 3rd piercing at Claire’s on back Friday 1998 and a few months later my cartilage pierced in late May 1999. My most resent piercing is an industrial on my right ear back in late September 2019. That was done by a needle. I was a little nervous about getting it done. I can handle the little pain for it. Just a little pinch a couple times. No big deal since now that I have 9 piercings.
Yes you need to pierce with studs, yes you may want a ring but in order for it to heal properly you need a stud for controlled movement. Rings rotate and can bring in bacteria into the piercings. A good check to make sure your piercer is legit is by asking if you could get it pierced with a hoop or ring and if they says yes... they probably don’t know what they’re doing.
I swear my helix has never healed! Every time I lightly bump it it gets super sore! I really want my conch, tragus and nose done next 😊maybe another helix one if my current one ever heals 🙃
the longer i hear your voice, the more you sound like Chaeyoung (Rosé) from BlackPink. you have a soothing voice omg (im so new to you,, you popped up in my recommendations haha)
I really enjoyed this video. You have the piercings that I want. I'm 14 and I have my 1st & 2nd lobes, my tragus, and my belly button. I really want my nose pierced but my mom hates facial piercings so I won't be able to get it for awhile. She doesn't care about ear piercings tho. She likes them. I'm trying to get all the ones that I want but I have to pay for them myself and I don't have a job yet so it's hard.😂 but great video!
(finish reading first..) Honestly there's nothing I hate more than someone talking on and on about something and not getting to the point. BUT what I like about YOU is that you get to the point, you're honest, you're kind seeming, and I appreciate that! My septum had me with that single tear but not my nostril xD And my conch, that HURT. I want the rook SO bad but it looks so painful T-T
This was so helpful thanks so much for this I've been wanting to get my cartilage and my nose pierced but keep putting it off cause I'm not sure what it'll be like since I don't know a lot of ppl with a nose piercing THANKS AGAIN
This is my first time seeing one of the videos and just wanna day I love your style, it’s very unique and pretty. The hair, lipstick and your face kind of give me an Asian Frida Kahlo vibe! Thanks for the video it was very informative!
I love all the piercings you have. I get really excited talking about them too. I have 3 sets of lobe piercings like you, helix piercing, industrial & rook. The industrial & rook piercings are my favourite because I think they look really cool & someone actually told me that not all ears are made to have an industrial piercing plus it is kind of "bold" to have it since some people find it painful or it looks scary :p
Hello.. You're video reached to me.. I just get my upper lobe piercing in feb and now it's may but it still swollen and creating a puss.. how much time it gonna take to heal?
I have all the same piercings amazing lol. Your jewelry is perfect. I am having a hard time finding the right sizes and diameters. Would you mind telling where you got your small lobe hoops, and your conch jewelry. Love ❤️
I got my daith done maybe 2 years ago and it'll still get crusty. And bleed a bit if I move it a lot. For now I'm just letting it heal and not wearing earphones since they do mess with my piercing. My conch I got last year and can get sore if I sleep on it but it doesn't last long. I take a while to heal when it comes to cartilage piercings.
I got my cartilage pierced two years ago and sadly it closed up. It REFUSED to heal no matter how much I took care of it. Maybe I was irritated by the stainless steel? :o Have you ever had an experience like that?
that's so sad! :( i haven't met anyone who's allergic to stainless steel but it could be? i've heard a common theme among cartilage piercings though... theyre the most stubborn when it comes to healing!
I loveee your conch ring! It’s super cute! I’m really wanting to get my stud switched to a ring aswell but I’m unsure of what gauge to get and what type of metal (gold, stainless steal, silver etc.) which type would be the best for sensitive ears??💜
Yes, my left eye watered when I got my nose pierced on the left, lol I love my conch - it heals a lot easier than helix, which is weird coz they're both cartlidge
Loopy Land ikr I've had both done and ended up taking my helix out after a year because it never healed right and I slept on it and wasn't told to downsize. My conch which I got two days ago is so easy! Doesn't even bother me whatsoever I can wear earphones painlessly already
I get all my jewelry from Maria Tash.... due to cost I can only afford to buy one piece at a time. I did recently discover that freepeople.com sells Maria Tash and you can sign up for 4 payments instead of one... which really helped in finally getting a rose gold opal eternity ring for my helix.
Emily S I got them with a gun and I had no problems with them, lobes are just all about preferences☺️ however if you want to get any other piercing, I would recommend getting them done with a needle
even though needles seem scary, they're a lot less painful than getting piercings done with a gun. i've experienced both and i definitely prefer needle!
Never ever get a piercing anywhere with a gun. If you go to get a piercing and they are about to use a gun, RUN. Please research this. It's highly unsanitary and potentially dangerous.
Also it's way more difficult to aim with a gun so if you don't want your holes to be to close or too far appart from each other please seek a pro piercer :)
ive had a double conch piercing for 8 months now and i finally think my ears have settled to change the studs to hoops! im soo excited. also, do you know what size mm your lobe hoops are?
I have a helix and I have no problems with it. I got it over 20 years ago. Remember the long healing process. I also had a bump at the back of my ear. I think I did not keep it clean enough. I took it at years ago and opened it in November last year. It took some time healing again. When I started properly cleaning the piercing it healed very quickly. It is very important that the stud is max 6mm , when it is longer it irritates more, with a barbell at the end or a flat end. No butterfly closing!. Or wear a small ring.
This isn’t really related to the video, but ive seen a couple questions regarding piercing guns and piercing needles in this comment section and me, having 12 piercings, 6 on both ears, am very experienced and thought id say this so you guys wont commit the same mistakes as me. Always pierce with a hollow needle by a professional piercer! Yes, even lobe piercings. A gun is plastic and cannot be sterilized properly by an autoclave like needles can. Piercing needles aren’t reusable, but piercing guns are, meaning other peoples blood and body fluid has touched the gun and then yours. That’s not clean. As for the lobes, a gun cannot shoot precisely which means there’s a huge chance your piercing will look weird or just not in place which is why id recommend just getting all piercings done with a needle because theyre precise, sterile and safe.
lalisa manoban you seem smart in this field, I just got another lobe piercing yesterday after getting my first 3 years ago. The first time at Blairs the lady told me to twist them but she didn't yesterday. I got them gun pierced and I was researching and came across why not to twist earrings. Is it bad to twist my earrings! Please help!
Madelyn Bren hi and thank you for asking this question, as it truly is something people wonder about a lot. usually when you go get your ears professionally pierced, the piercer IS gonna tell you whether to twist them or not, as every piercer is different and has different views on the twisting thing. But since yours is a fresh piercing AND it was pierced with a gun, I’d recommend to just clean it twice a day and leave it alone. If you do ever feel the need to twist it, be VERY gentle as this could disturb the healing process!! Everyone truly has different views on the twisting thing, saying not twisting it is gonna make the piercing get stuck in place and some saying twisting it will disturb the healing process and probably irritate your piercing. I’d recommend to not twist it everyday, but do it sometimes. Maybe 2-3 times a week, gently twist it to make sure it’s not stuck?? BUT, do it with clean hands and after you’ve twisted it, make sure to clean the area again since twisting it could’ve gotten new bacteria on your wound. Be cautious with it and don’t do it too often, leave it alone and clean it twice a day would be enough, especially since it’s a lobe piercing. Cut down on the twisting though, do it sometimes but not everyday. Good luck!
I have five helix piercings and none of them have given me any problems at all. They were fully healed at six months. I swear by a neck pillow for sleeping.
Hey, I have a tragus piercing as well but I cannot find one that I love, I was looking for a tiny hoop but now that I've seen yours I love it! Do you have any idea where did u get it? I would love one!!
Do you remember exactly how long it took for your tragus to heal? I've had mine for a little over 10 months now, and it feels better now than it did before, but I can still tell it's in the process of healing still. At first I didn't think it was normal for it to take so long to heal, but after talking to a lot of people I'm realizing it's a pretty slow healing piercing. I'm hoping it's almost done healing though!!
Sandy Lin lol I have a feeling mine is going to take about that long. At first I thought there was something wrong with mine but the more people I'm taking to the more I'm realizing that it's a slow healing piercing for a lot of people. But mine feels pretty good now so hopefully the worst is over. Thanks for replying 😊
I couldn’t wait to get my Tragus I have both done and their very slow healing I wanted to just take them out but I refuse to.. I have both my Daith piercings and they are doing better than my Tragus ... I am gonna stick it out.. My nose I love and it’s healed !!
Hello:) I really want to get my lobes pierced, but do you think it would be safe enough to use a piercing gun on your lobe? I would never ever use it for my cartilage, but do you think I can get away with using a piercing gun for my 2nd lobe piercing?
Omg i loved this video. I so badly want to get a tragus piercing, but i am so scared bcs of pain. Yours looks so good btw 😍 from 1 to 10 how bad did it hurt? And for how long did it hurt?
bodycandy.com is an amazing place to buy body jewelry and their quality of the jewelry is very good I have sensitive skin when it comes to low quality jewelry but I had never had a problem with their jewelry
I have 9 piercings on my ears. My first and 2nd was done at After Thoughts back in 1994 and 95. My 3rd was done at Claire’s in 1998 and a few months later my cartilage pierced on my left ear. I have an industrial piercing on my right ear since September 21st, 2019. That was painful but, it was worth it with a needle.
Super cute. You are lovely. The piercings are great. Those geometric lobe earrings really are awesome. The nose ring was one of the prettiest I've seen. I love how subtle it is. I am going to hopefully get my left tragus done soon. I am a bit freaked about it, as I am spooked by needles and such (even though I pierced my own ears three times out of the six piercings I have), but I think I'll have fun with it once it's healed up in a year or so. Thank you for sharing.
i actually got my upper ear cartilage pierced with a gun and it wasn't so bad lol i love piercings and i have 6 and i'm only 14. i'm still planning more LMAO
6:30 that piercing how long did it take to heal ???? I wanna get mines next week but I’m scared cause I have a cartilage piercing and it has never healed and it hurt so much I just took it out .
Love this video :) It's funny, my tragus literally was the easiest piercing for me- hurt for a moment and then done. My daith however, oh my gosh. Worst. Pain. Ever. The piercer wouldn't let me leave, she thought I was going to pass out! I honestly felt like I was getting Bells Palsy too 😂 fine after a day though. Thinking of having my conch pierced, considering it even more now :D
love your piercings! very interesting, my rook piercings hurt the most and it never healed so i had to take it out. My tragus did actually hurt the least :D i really want to get a double helix or/and a conch piercing, but i don't know if i can deal with the healing process.. i want to get rings in all of them, do you know why you should not get rings in them when you first pierce them?
the healing process is such a pain! i'm so impatient so i know what you mean! i was told by my piercers that when you get a stud, rather than a ring, it helps to speed up the healing process. the stud is usually longer giving your ear space in case it starts to swell. with a ring, it could get really tight and uncomfortable if it swells too much, which irritates it further. i've heard though that if a piercer is really skilled/experienced, they have no problem giving you a ring b/c they are confident in their abilities. i think it really just depends on the piercer! i wanted to play it safe and just got a stud each time!
Generally speaking, the reason you shouldn’t pierce with a hoop is because of the irritation it causes due to movement. Hoops are always prone to spinning and getting caught on stuff, whereas studs are a little more secure. Jewelry choice is not about the skill level of your piercer, it’s about whether or not your body will be able to heal it with a hoop vs. have an easier time with a stud. The only piercing that should really be done with a hoop is a daith, because it’s inside your ear and pretty protected from movement. Good luck!
My cartilage piercing would hurt when I slept on it (Ive had it pierced for about 2 years) when I had a stud in but I changed it to a hoop and now I have no problems
i got it at body jewelz (a piercing chain) but i wouldnt recommend going there again. you can find them at your local piercing shop though! i also left a link to an etsy store in the description box that custom-makes a ring for you
About the piercing gun thing: it's not that bad with your lobes but you should never do that to your cartilages. And it doesn't hurt less with the gun, it irritates your skin more and actually is worse than if you do it with a needle afterwards
omg you're so pretty!! would you be able to make a video on how to whiten teeth?? i've tried crest whitening strips but they didn't evenly whiten all of my teeth :(
Diablo body jewelry has a lot of good stuff. Also body art forms, but you have to be careful because they have some good stuff and some not so great stuff.
My helix piercing has been such a hassle to heal! I got hypertrophic scarring that has been over months been disappearing and sometimes is still sore and I've had it for a year in a week lol! I don't think I'll ever get another helix because it has been a constant worry really and I regret how much work it was but I admit I love the way it looks and don't plan on taking it out.
Thanks for the video! Where did you get your conch hoop and how did you choose it? I'm afraid to purchase anything online because idk what guage and size of hoop to get.
I'd want a cartilage piercing but I'm so scared cuz I haven't had good experiences with basic earlobe piercings... I've gotten them done with a gun though, so that might explain it~I had to take my second earlobe piercing (that was a bit higher) out cuz it was so infected:(( so scared of infections & I've heard cartilage piercings get infected easily:/
i looked at society6 too but i need to go back and look again :) oh nooo i'm sorry you had a bad piercing experience. it might be because of the gun.. never get a cartilage piercing w/ a gun though! the impact/shock can really take a toll on your cartilage. i think if you are diligent about cleaning your piercing everyday, it should have less chance of getting infected but it also depends on your level of sensitivity. try finding a good piercer and talking to them about your concerns! :)
