i am from nepal and we have exactly the same culture. We were all one in the Bharat barsa and were strong enough on spirituality, astrology , and every other things . We need to re find and follow our ancient teachings and research more on the field not depending upon the Westerners on every damn thing .

The practitioners of the first five systems i.e sankhya yoga nyaya vaishishika and miamasa independently has almost vanished or have become a part of the vedantic system. That is why in santana dharma there is not much obsession with condemnimg atheism. Because atheism is a dogmatic belief. That is religion. It will vanish on its own. They i.e santan dharmists condemn mostly hedonism (charvaka) because that is more dangerous to human society. Sanatan dharma will live as long as the earth exists. And it will continue to produce amazing saints seers and yogis to guide humanity. The day the last pratitioner of sanatan dharm dies it will stop raining. It is end of kaliyuga. And pralaya will happen. Santan dharma is not religion. It is a way of life. You can practice it being within your religion. That is why hindus do not bother much to convert or reconvert. All other religions came about by copying the principles of sanatan dharma and applying it as per the needs of their region but did it in a dogmatic manner. That is why there is so much confusion about understanding god in other religions whereas an ordinary illiterate villager in india will explain god with more clarity. I really want to write something here, we never glorified our knowledge like the western did, we never kept our knowledge to our self. Wisdom and knowledge are directly correlated in a lot of ways and situations. Culture is distroyed by altering history and misleading future generations. This is exactly what has happened with us. So how do we restore our culture ? Simple anwer is by building the proud of being indian and for that we need to work at grass root level by promoting knowledge of Vedas, Yoga and Ayurveda to a child taking baby steps. Is this religious ? The anwer is no. Somehow we need to find out a way of connecting this to a culture and not religion. In India people used to be only educated and teached if they identified with the entire cosmos. Why? Because if you got a limited identification (like being a German or Indian) you will only protect your identification. With an identification of everything you will serve everything and thus never be a problem for other people. Aum I also a pronunciation but Om is not wrong.In phonetics the sounds A and U merge to form one sound O.I you are familiar with Hindi or Sanskrit you might be familiar with this rule along with many other sounds.
