All about Japanese particle! Let's learn basic Japanese particles effectively! Particles are similar as “preposition” in English such as on, at, in etc. but not exactly the same. Examples of particles are ga (が), wa (は), wo (を), e (へ), ni (に), etc. and most of the particles have more than two usage. Here is your ultimate Japanese particle guide. I know many Japanese learners think particles are difficult, but once you learn the rules, it’s not that so difficult! Let me go through it, so don’t worry! I created the particle lesson notes in my blog. Please check here for more detail about Japanese particles! learnjapanese123.com/all-abou... In order to make this video, I used this book Power Japanese "About Particles”. I bought this over 10 years ago in Australia. I highly recommend this book, as you see, I highlighted may parts :) You can order from here too: amzn.to/2T3qPGU Here are the lesson table of contents: (Please check my blog for example sentences for each particle :) 2:42 は ①:topic marker 3:02 を: object marker 3:38 が ①:used as “but” meaning when compare two contents in one sentences. 3:58 が ②:Subject marker 4:44 は ②: は will appear when compare two things. 5:27 が ③:used in an interrogative question sentences 5:55 へ: direction marker 6:23 に ①:Indicates movement toward a place or a purpose “to” (interchangeable to へ) 6:51 に ②: Indicates the location “in, at, on” Indicate the location of living (non-action verb) 7:17 に ③: Indicate time or specific day 7:33 に ④:Indicate the interval of time. 7:55 に ⑤: Indicates the recipient of an action “to, from” (indicates indirect object) 8:18 に ⑥:Indicates the result of a change. 8:38 に ⑦:Indicate the purpose for visiting.(used in いきます or きます) 9:06 に ⑧:Indicates movement from a larger to a smaller place (enter, to/into, in, ride on) 9:30 で ① :Indicates location of an action. 10:35 で ②:Indicates a means “by, with” 10:52 で ③: Indicates materials used: “of, from, with” 11:05 で ④:Indicates the greatest within a given category “in”. 11:27 か ①: Question marker (in formal Japanese 〜ですか / 〜ますか) 11:53 か ②:Used with a question word, indicates meaning as “some/any” 12:13 と ①:meaning of “and” 12:23 と ②: indicates meaning of “with” 12:31 と ③: Indicates what someone said, ordered, asked, etc. 12:45 と ④:Indicates what someone thinks or feels 13:07 の ①: Indicates possession “ ’s” 13:15 の ②:Indicates position or location 13:26 の ③:Indicates that the first noun is modifying the second one 13:40 も ①: Indicates the meaning of “also, too”. 13:52 も ②:Emphasis on “as many times, always, etc. 14:03 も ③:Indicates total negation with question words 14:15 から ①:Indicates the meaning of “from” 14:26 から ②:Indicates the reason: “because ~” 14:40 まで: indicates the meaning of “to, until / till”. 14:59 くらい(ぐらい):Indicates an approximate amount or extent 15:19 ごろ:Indicate the meaning of “around” of time/date 15:59 ~や 〜など:Indicate lists of examples “such as A and B" 16:14 だけ: Indicates the meaning of “only” 16:24 けど: Indicates the meaning of “but” in colloquially. 16:38 〜たり〜たり (verb):Indicates a list of activities as an example. 16:52 より: Indicates a comparison “than” 17:06 たら: Indicates a supposition and result “if ~ then-“ (Verb ta-form +ら) Casual Ending particles: 17:27 ね: Adding a sort of nuance of confirmation/expecting an agreement/share the same feeling with rising intonation. 17:53 よ: Adding a sort of nuance of telling new information. Now I’m doing self-review for N4 & so glad that I came across this all-in-1 video about Japanese particles that are so confusing especially during the examination. This video is a good reviewer for all levels of JLPT & Japanese learners. I owe you one. Your effort in making this video is much appreciated.
