Ive just been to see my doc, im 46 and have been in perimenopause for about 6 plus years. His words were you're too young and probably imagining these symptoms. I then told him i will change my doctor because any man who minimises my reality, can bugger off. He was a bit shocked and then apologized. We will now run some tests on day 14 of my cycle. Its a small win, but I'll take it!

I'm turning 40 in 6 days, 3 weeks ago I saw a new GP, after breaking down in tears in her office after 2 years of these symptoms, she ordered hormone test and baisicaly confirmed im perimenopause. Started on oestrogen gel... not seen any changes yet, still tired and suffer with nightsweats and extreme tiredness... but I'm hopeful that I now now I'm not losing my mind. Nobody prepares you for this. I'm irritable and sometimes I have pure brain fog and sit at work lost, like I have forgotten how to do my job. My biggest upset is I've put on about 2 stone in 18 months, I'm an active person and none of my clothes fit... its so stressful and upsetting. I will definitely be taking this advice.... I need to get my shape back, I don't even recognise myself in the mirror anymore, its awful. Glad I came across this video... ill try anything at this point.

The weight gain happened to me practically over night. I put on over 10 pounds and it was shocking. I had to do a complete overhaul on my food intake and that’s when I started doing Pilates. I’m stronger now then I’ve ever been. It’s been extremely hard to get the extra weight off but I’m getting close to my normal weight, however my stomach does not look like it did before. I naturally started upping my protein. I could tell my body was craving it so I listened. Lots of protein is important at this point in life. I’m learning to accept this change and difference in my body and doing much better. I got quite depressed for a while. I actually feel better now then I did when I was younger.

I started experiencing such at about 35 ish im now 39 went to doctors and none will do the hormones test. One just wanted to put me on antidepressants. I didn't take them due to bad past experiences with such meds in my early 20. I been prayin God heals and delivers me from all this. Went from living normal to hot flushes, trouble sleeping ,heart palps, night sweats, tiredness, appatite swings from not hungry to hungry all the time, anxiety like never before and afraid to drive and go places and many more that's just a few. Oh my periods fluctuate some months a lil later than usual some earlier and some on point and heavier flow on my first few days worse than I use to ... All the docs keep saying is im to young . My maternal grandmother went into menopause at 42 and one of my cousins at like 36. But docs keep saying im to young and I know there is changes that have been taking place big time in my body .. Docs sometimes make you feel like you are crazy and don't know what we talking about and refuse to listen... Many have gotten alot better over time phew... Thank God ... God bless each of you ladies going through perimenopause and I pray you get better sending love.

And how will that change what you are experiencing? A healthy diet and more sleep will surely be the answer, no matter what the exact level of a certain hormone is at any one time. And hormone levels fluctuate, as they always do, but in such a time of bodily transition especially. You can have them checked one day, and a few weeks/months later, they will probably be quite different.

Thank you so much for this! I've literally asked for hormone tests for the past 2 years, and EVERY single time, the OBGYN says she'll run base checks, but they won't tell her anything. I've literally had no help by the actual doctor and I'm almost 42 and I've had a drastic shift since I turned 40. The women in my family go through menopause very early so I'm not surprised I started at 39/40. I got my period very young, had just turned 11 years old, so it was so young. I also have endometriosis, so it's difficult to know what's going on with me partly because of that. I had two surgeries for it, but I was way too sensitive to hormones, so no birth control. I have been lucky that I've had regular periods through out my life, and it was a fairly normal 28 day cycle, now it's maybe 20 days, so I never feel like I get a break like I used to feel. I have insomnia, weight gain/difficult to lose, horrible hormonal headaches, nausea, fatigue (I'm exhausted!), and just feeling off most of the time. My OBGYN said I probably am in perimenopause, but she said there's never any way to know, just eat decent food, rest and exercise. That's good and all, but it doesn't give me in depth information. Am I estrogen dominate? I think so, but I wouldn't know since I'm not an expert. I'm thinking of having a naturopathic doctor help me from now on. Do you think this would be a better option? I know there's things I can do, like you mentioned, by changing some dietary things, but I just want to know what's going on my specifically in my body. Thanks so much for talking about this, it's something we don't see enough women bringing out in the open, so thank you!

I armed myself with as much info as I could and put on my warrior woman pants when I went in to see my PCP regarding my suspicions (I was ready to fight based on what I had read about women's experiences) if there was any hint of dismissiveness or 'let's get you on anti-depressants). Thankfully, I didn't have to fight too hard :) Though there was a bit of that 'you're young and not experiencing abnormal periods... --that was honestly the ONLY symptom that I didn't present with! All that to say THANK YOU!! I found one of your pilates videos, loved it, hit subscribe and have been kind of piecemealing them before landing on this one. This video is SO helpful! Had my hormones tested and my estrogen was crazy out of control high as well. I started taking iodine first thing in the morning on empty stomach and holy cow I couldn't believe that worked..... estrogen is now normal. I'm still working on the protein in my diet and I did just get the collagen for morning. I'm totally going to do lifting 👌👌. Happy I found you channel ❤️💖.

Hello, I’m new here. My name is Amalin from New York. I’m almost 44 in 2 months. Although I’ve experienced so many of the issues you describe throughout my life being autistic and have anxiety disorder. I found myself (recently) with more mood changes, less sex drive, more stressed out, my cognitive abilities, I’ve gained over 20 pounds in the last 8 months, and concentration have declined and I’m extremely fatigued that I had to resign at work.I was hoping to have a baby with my fiancé. Body pain is more extreme. I can’t recuperate fast enough from workouts. This peri menopause activity may interfere. I had three miscarriages in the last 2 years and I found out I have three polyps, 2 in my utero and 1 in my cervix. I’m freaking out. Thanks for the information ❤

Why have hormones tested? What does it matter at what particular level estrogen is at any one time? Why make out (peri)menopause is something pathological, going to a doctor subconsciously suggests someone were ill in some way! This is a natural phase and occurrence in my life as a woman and I personally will not let anyone make a profit from telling me I need blood tests or medication because of it! Doing all the things that you mention, such as eating healthily, exercise, looking after yourself etc. will do the trick, they are what constitutes a healthy lifestyle anyway, no matter at what age. It´s just that as we get older our bodies tell us more urgently and vehemently whenever we are harming them with low quality food, lack of exercise, high stress levels, lack of sleep etc.

I'm 37 almost 38 and am now taking on weight gained during the past couple yrs during the pandemic cause I miss my old clothes and am no longer working 12 hr days in mitigations. My mom hit menopause early. This weight needs to go hopefully I'll be done with that by this time next year. Can't wait to lose it only to face this in the near future if not earlier. Omg imagine if this is what contributed to all the gain during the past 3 yrs?! Interesting, I never had to worry much about exercise or diet until now, it's been a lot to learn. This should be taught properly in school, much more useful than half the stuff I had to learn! PS. Just going to add that I love weight training more than any other exercise lol hate floor exercises and cardio kills me although I do enjoy getting the blood pumping, but weights is where I'm most happy (except for wide flys anyway lol)

I am estrogen+ progesterone+ and HER2- it's good to know I'm not going through this by myself though.

Look up Castor Oil packs and cancer. Shrinks cysts, polyps, fibroids, tumours etc castor oil is amazing. Shrunk my polyp in 7 days and got rid of my cervical cancer. 3 hours a day or longer , No kidding and I’m 60 years of age. Placed on my liver with cloth, c.oil and hot water bottle and laid there for 3 hours or longer and within no time I was good. Started doing an hour and then thought let me try for longer and results were quicker. Keep your fluids up and whatever you do do not put castor oil on a polyp in the Cervix or on fibroids as it’ll bring on a bleed big time. Learned that from experience

Unfortunately we’ve been programmed brainwashed that getting rid of ailments and diseases is rocket science, it’s not. More than 20 years ago I decided to educate myself about health and learned that all ailments and diseases are related to the same thing and there’s even studies that proof this so why not deal with the cause instead of fixing the problem, hence why I don’t donate to find cures. Don’t know how come the medical system find it difficult

I am 46 and going through perimenopause and I think the first thing I noticed outside of my non existent menses was dry skin on my face. I am a combination of oily and dry but never this dry - on my forehead, nose, chin and under the chin, extremely dry. I was using more natural products like Good Medicine Beauty Lab but had to go back to CeraVe and that has helped tamed the dryness. Then I noticed the anxiety, and inability to lose the weight the way I’ve lost it for the last 20 years. I don’t have any of the other symptoms though, thankfully!

Just recently im starting to get out more and deiving around my neighborhood. Its a start to getting my life back. Night sweats, trouble sleeping, hot flushes, appatite changes fluctuating some months more hingry than usual, heart palps, tiredness and many more. Over time though many of these have started to get better and some have go e away completely after months of dealing with it and some several years of dealing. I just give it to God keep praying and believing for healing and deliverance from all of it... Vitamins will help to. Ensure deinks help too.

Hoping to check my hormones on a follow up appointment soon with my doctor after taking my supplements to see where I’m at. ❤
