We got one MASSIVE! anemone to talk about. These giant carpet anemones can get well over a foot in diameter in the aquarium setting. Clownfish have hosted these but beware they are known to eat small fish and inverts for snacks! Check us out as we feed some raw shrimp.

I really appreciate your All About videos! I'm just starting into the saltwater/reef side of the hobby and your succinct, info packed care guides are excellent for research!

You said they don’t need light. This is incorrect, they do need light. A lot of it. They are photosynthetic.

For me, the Haddon's carpet anemone is easy to care and can be hardy if they're provided with the proper lightning needs and flow as well as a stable water parameter ( like any other anemone, stable water parameters is always a must, like a 4 to 8 or even a year old tank ) meanwhile the gigantea and merten carpet anemones are just tedious to care for and are extremely sensitive to changes in the water chemistry and parameters and they're huge like almost 1 or 3 feet across If y'all want a carpet anemone, get a mini carpet or a Haddon's carpet anemone and if carpets aren't your choice, just get a bta or sebae anemone.

@@BrockLeonard these anemones do look amazing though.. but I wouldn't keep one with small/medium size fish unless it's in a very large tank so fish can avoid swimming in the near vicinity. the carpet anem does have a very strong stick on its venomous surface, so once it gets a hold of a fish, it's pretty much a goner.

That is not a Gigantea dude. Its a Haddoni. Gigantea has longer tentacles. Giving out false information.
