Even you admit it needed a push to get it going. If the earth was rotating at 1000mph on its axis and rotating around the sun at 667000 mph would that be sufficient to get it going? The answer is...no, because the earth is motionless. This is a novelty.
They are not claiming the pendulum is in motion because the Earth is. The floor and building is shifting around the pendulum which is kept in motion by a magnet (like the toys) and has a near 0 friction swivel at it's attachment. Perpetual motion doesn't exist... "Swinging from a cable over 60 feet long, the pendulum's period is just over 7 seconds. The pendulum receives the energy needed to keep swinging from a magnet surrounding the cable at its top. As the pendulum reaches the middle of its swing, it closes a circuit that activates the electromagnet."
" the earth was rotating at 1000mph"....Nothing "rotates" in mph. mph are the units of linear velocity and angular velocity and tangential linear velocity are not the same thing. The correct speed of rotation of the Earth is 0.000073 radians per second. Take care.
"Even you admit it needed a push to get it going." LMAO!!! How to say you haven't got a clue!!! Now explain how the precession varies as a function of the latitude.
