The NFS BMW M3 GTR is not real, saying this car is real is like saying Eddie's Skyline is real. The cars these game vehicles are based off of are real but the game versions are fictional XD Jeez lol
Heavy Metal Rewind The BMW M3 GTR is a real car, the car in the game is not. The same way Razor isn’t a real person. The paint scheme has been replicated in real life but the original version is still computer generated
If I am correct, the body kit is real, the engine within it is real, and the car has been raced, then the only things that aren't technically real are it's use in streetracing and the paint job, but the paint job has been seen on E46 model cars with an accurate body kit. The paint job just was never put on an actual GTR. It is in all ways but the paint job, a real car. Car bodies are computer generated in real life as well, they just take it from the computer and apply it to a car.
To add on, Razor may not be a real person, but taking a different character from a different series, Mara from CoD MW. She's not real, however, her character is based on a real person, Alex Zedra. Razor's character is a real person fitted into a green screen background of Rockport.
The most unluckiest car ever. Why? - Sabotaged by Razor. (NFS: Most Wanted) - Wrecked after got chased by Cross. (NFS: Carbon) - Abandoned in the South-Western part of the map. (NFS: Payback) - Got shipped by Mercer and wrecked afterward. (NFS: Heat) - Parked somewhere at the Edgewater and was delivered by some racer back to Razor because he wants to declare war againts the cops. (NFS: Unbound)
Its fine if its just an E46 but damn... You went all out to make it look like an GTR and then you wont even follow the Color Scheme of the best GTR out there?
@@linchester8464 that was just livery and body kit...not the straight edge gears and also not same from inside...it was used for everyday comfort from inside and not replicate
@@linchester8464 ik it's impossible to make exactly the same replica of nfs m3 gtr...but I mean that he left the car for daily use, from the inside, and the exact replica(not considering the parts which are either out of production or impossible to get by just money) of nfs m3 gtr won't be useable on daily basis...bcz if we talking about nfs M3 gtr...note it also have NOS system which is quite expensive on its own...also dog box and sequential transmission is not for daily use...
I have a theory as to how it was upgraded. The M3 GTR we get in the intro was one of the 10 road-legal detuned GTRs that was modified with a copy of the race wheels and body kit. Razor somehow got a hold of the race P60B parts and fitted them, effectively making the M3 GTR race version.
I kept my BMW M3 GTR in the game the same as always because once you change the blue vinyls, you can never go back and it really sucks. I once accidentally removed the vinyl while looking through the customization and it made feel so bad that I restarted the whole career just to get the original blue vinyls back.
I think the car was slower in the beginning of the game to allow the player to get used to the physics engine and handling the car. I don't think it is supposed to be taken literally in the sense that the car was later upgraded by Razor to be faster
Myctness Ikstess is right. The car is slower at the beginning so it is easier to drive and to get used to the game's driving characteristics. This is also the same reason it has lackluster performance in Carbon.
The speed, power and DAMN sure the handling of the GTR was way on point. Best handling in the game hands down in my opinion. Took turns without losing much speed at all man.
@DriftKing609 Lmao Rachel's beta ride It is noticeable if you know car interiors so well, and you look closely at the cutscenes, where the player drives up to the garage and you could see the RX-8 interior instead of a 350z interior
0:26 if u play the intro of nfs mw and pay attention to what Mia says before the car stops, you’ll realise she said “you left a huge oil slick at the start line.” This means razor probably undid the sub plug causing the engine oil to leak out which eventually caused the engine to stop after all the oil was gone. After that he didn’t really need to do anything major, he just put the sub plug back on and put new oil in the engine. As for the upgrades, it’s pretty simple because we can upgrade our cars so why can’t he? It’s not impossible to make an already fast car even faster, and because razor stole your beautiful bimma, you want to get back what’s yours so you work your way up the blacklist, with every member being harder to beat than the previous one, and then you reach the top which is razor so it only makes sense for the m3 gtr to be faster than it was at the beginning otherwise the races would be piss easy
0:34 Well, i have a theory, almost every gt2 racing car like the bmw gtr has performance limiters that are used to fit the car in certain events, those reduce the air that enters in the engine, making the car slower, Razor probably removed them, don't ask me how
Career intro cars are always slow in NFS games to let people learn to drive, its the same way with Integra from UG1, 350z that rachel lends us Its not representative of how these cars are meant to go its only to be easy on new players in their first race/races. And performance speed and acceleration is really inaccurate in Black Box era games, going 50km/h is almost a stand still. Speed in physics is around 50% of what game says. So switchin to imperial and reading miles as kilometres is more accurate to inengine speed.
Also I`ve tested the top speed of all stock cars with outside of the world glitch and cars are going with 20-40 km/h even more then the cars in the real life. For example Toyota Supra - top speed in the game is 302 km/h in real life barely reaches 260 km/h we talking about stock not modified Supra. Compared to NFS Underground 2 cars have more realistic top speed then NFS Most Wanted 2005. Also Ford GT and Dodge Viper with stock transmission are insanely fast and have top speed over 400 km/h and for Viper if it redlines on 6th at 6K RPM it can reach 508 km/h but it`s still more realistic then NFS Carbon top speed that on manual you gain 40+ km/h more top speed. Ford GT with manual transmission nitrous and draft can reach over 520 km/h with is very unrealistic.
@@heromannickbggaming287 Yes but i mean actual pace cars go through the game world i scale. its reduced because games couldnt load fast enough and it would be incredibly hard to drive at top speed. its the same with psp versions of nfs games.
The reason why the M3 GTR in Carbon was slower was the fact EA deemed the M3 GTR too OP in Most Wanted. The actual 0-60mph was 3.4 secs for the M3 GTR and later dropped to 3.2 secs in the later versions. Top speed was only 245KM/h for the 2001 version. So the Carbon version of the M3 GTR has the more realistic gear ratio and top speed that is similar if not closer to the actual ALMS M3 GTR of 322 KM/h and 3.2 secs 0 - 60 mph. EA Blackbox def took noticed the straight cut gears whine was not loud enough in the MW version so they boost the sound in the Carbon version this is also taking hints of the ALMS M3 GTR. The car is equipped with a dry sump oil system which collects all the oil at the bottom of the shallower sump and pumps the oil away using a series of oil pumps usually powered by the main crank pulley system. The pumped oil will travel to an external oil reservior where another pump will pump the oil back into the engine block and heads where the oil is needed for lubrication. Ronnie and Bull could have damage the reservior which held the oil starving the engine of the needed oil. While the car is still able to run without the oil. The damage will become irreversable when the metal to metal starts to rub against each other in the case of the crank bearings and other moving parts of the engine like the pistons in the cylinders. Its def odd that Razor was able to fix the engine and beefed it up way further than the original spec. Since like you said the engine was a prototype and not a mass production engine like the S65B40 engine. And also the fact that parts for a racing spec flat plane crank engine are almost zero to none in the market. Only motorsports team backed by BMW will have access to the parts. The second question still remains of how the Hero of the game aquired a race spec M3 GTR and gave it the street car look. The hero came from Palmont City of Carbon. Escaped the cops and ran to Olympic city of Underground 1 and later Bayview of Underground before appearing in Most Wanted with the M3 GTR. After the long absence of the M3 GTR the so called M3 GTR "replicas" appeared in Most Wanted 2012, in 2015 and Payback. All these replica only has the S54 inline 6 engines and not the P60B40 V8. And all didnt have the H pattern dogbox engagement gearbox with straight cut gears and a single plate carbon clutch. The gearbox while gated has a tendency to miss shift and cause damage to the engine and gearbox. And no springs to center the shifter. So you have to be precise with your shifts.
Lin Chester your timeline doesn’t make sense though, if Carbon happened before Most Wanted, why is Cross introducing himself like he’s never met you before in Most Wanted? I’m pretty sure he followed you over the bridge jump in Most Wanted and catches up to you in the beginning of Carbon. He even says in the game “I got a little score to settle from Rockport.”
@@mckinnonwolf7877 Darius and the Hero seems to be "friends" until Darius double crossed him and took the money. While the Hero ran off in the Supra. This was shown in Carbon prologue and as the story unfolds in the later part of the Carbon story. This was what presented and how all the story in the 4 games were linked together.
@@linchester8464 Im not saying they arent canon in terms of the universe they all are in the same universe. Just the underground series has its own story, including Carbon and MW has its own story as well.
When you did the automatic 0-60 mph the wheels spun, I could tell by the Speedometer, the triangle usually lights up when you hit the limit of a gear, and it has a seizure usually when the cars wheel spin. So without the wheel spin, it's equal or hypothetically even faster than that of manual (but I doubt it's faster.)
PSA: When I say fictional I’m talking about the NFS version of the M3 GTR. The BMW M3 GTR is real but there was never a silver and blue one used for street racing. Le Mans Racecar: Real NFSMW Silver and blue car: Fictional Did you really think I was saying the M3 GTR isn’t real? A car I’ve been researching for years? Dang 😂
It's a simple concept, honestly. Get the 3D model from the latest game for reference. 3D Print the small parts. Make a fiberglass or carbon fiber the body kit using molds, that's the hardest part. The rest is up to you. The race car interior (cage, seats and other misc stuff). As for the engine, just get a modern sporty V8 (which are better) and swap it in, you will never get the sound but who cares, it's faster.
Razor didn't modify the M3. There are two versions of the M3 in the Most Wanted files: the one you drive in the intro and the actual M3. The Intro M3 is slower and toned-down because it's essentially the tutorial level and first-time players would have trouble grappling with one of the fastest cars in the game. As for the sabotage, either Ronnie or Bull unscrewed the oil sump which made the engine seize due to lack of oil.
Also Ghost/Criterion(or even Turn10 in Forza games) have no excuse for not getting a sound right, because BMW M3 GT2 sounds exacly the same with it's P65B40 with only difference being that it has almost no transmission whine but this can easily be added separately especially by using transmission whine from NFS Shift and copying its behaviour(decceleration sounds and how loud and realistic it is in Shift) Its incredibly easy to get a GT2 for recording session in comparison to the GTR and engine is still available on order for racing teams these days unlike p60b40
@@linchester8464 The problem is, I can't buy it... I live in Malaysia, and I don't think I can use paypal, or whatever currency they used... And in Malaysia, they don't sell that car...

The M3 GTR also appears in the mobile version of Most Wanted. To obtain it, you need to defeat the #1 on the Most Wanted List. You can only change paint. No upgrades(just mods). And the car is as fast as the M3 GTR in the intro of the 2005 Most Wanted (maybe)
0:20 All I can say is that Mia did mention that there was "a huge oil slick at the start line", meaning that one of Razors henchmen either drilled a hole in the oil tank, or removed that screw that're used to let the oil run out from it. though that still leaves how they were able to do so in such short time, I mean, IF that was the case. And if it was missing maintenance and such, it's unlikely that the "player" would be that careless/"neglectful"
I would hazard a guess that Razor's crew secretly broke into our MC's garage and installed a remote valve to leak just enough oil to look bad and an engine kill switch in case the fool is losing.
For real tho, if their was a huge oil leak going that fast the engine would have stalled and been totaled and would need a new one because that one is not save able
Of course we wanna see a video about the replication or the build of the M3 gtr. Ever since most wanted came out in 2005 that bmw caught my eye from the from cover of the game all the way to the last cop chase in the game. It was always my dream to take a 3 series and chop it up to make a gtr inspired replica
I love that in NFS Heat you've got engine swaps and you can buy bodykit on e46 m3 and swap engine from the GTR. Enjoy your ride with home made E46 M3 GTR :)
Update to its story below read more becase nfs heat spoilers Someone repaired it brought it to Palm city where it got into custody of the league and stolen by mercer which he used as a getaway car before the player stopped him before being gifted to the player as a thank you gift for retrieving the league cars
But theres a cutscene where you and Ana are inside Mercer's stolen car warehouse, and you can see the M3 GTR with jacked up paint on the back of a flatbed
The "gtr" also made an appearance in nfs undercover as an e46 with the body kit and the vinyl as customization options but if i remember correctly the exhaust pipes came out the back
I'm gonna be honest. I thought it was just another basic video. But holy shit The Racing Joker I'm really impressed by the quality of information you gave. You earned my subscribtion. Good Job!
In Shift, at the works option custuminization, you can build an M3 GTR from an 36, or ever the E46, the sound also is from a V8, I think, and the body kit is pretty similar.
Actually that 3rd kit you showed is actually the original kit PTG used in 2000 for the inline 6 race car, when the GTR got banned after 2001 from ALMS some teams bought the old cars to campaign, and then PTG came back with the Inline 6 in 2006
@@gionfs3hp no it dosent, all the sound are from a TVR Cerbera, the cutscenes and beta version sounds comes from a Porsche 928,EA BlackBox never had a chance to record the GTR V8 engine

Razor didnt broke engine. Do you remember Ronnie? How is your car running xDD? We dropped oil on start line and that is reason why we didnt finish race and how Razor stole our car!😀 Thank you for video bro💪
Closest sound and probably the latest NFS to have it is Most Wanted '12. Even tho it isn't the exact P60B engine/transmission audio, its still the most similar even now. Need for Speed Heat will hopefully change that.
this has been my dream car since i was 7 years old, others caught my eye like ronnies db9 but god damn im glad theres other people who appreciate this car as much as me
@@CaptainRudy4021 Have you ever heard a corvette z06 engine? i guess I'm asking is there a difference in sound of the corvette z06 engine and a s65 v8 engine?
@@vanguardgaming1779 most V8s sound similar just cuz of how they're made. If you have a ZO6 and an E92 M3 side by side in a rev competition you could definitely tell the difference.
I heard that the M3 GTR was meant to be repaired for your race against Darius in Carbon but it was cut from the game due to time restraints. I don't know if this is true but there's a second version of it in the Carbon game files. Only difference being the paint job - black instead of silver.
i'll try make p60b40 engine replica from m5 e39 they have less heigh and some PTG models had this V8, it cost around 30 000$ but Scottsdale want *90 000$* for p65b40 from m3 GT2
Im playing NfS Heat almost non stop and i can say there is a small difference between the GTR from Most Wanted and the GTR from Heat. The Sound is how should i put it recorded from 2 different "view points". The GTR from Most Wanted got its sound recording from inside the driving car and the GTR from Heat from the outside. So therefore the sound is extremely simmilar but you can hear a difference. And once again the GTR is a blast to drive. :)
there is this guy who built this car irl so it basically existed but he sold it and the car went disarray. thankfully he made an update video that the car will be fixed by its new owner who is a repair garage owner and is rich to its original condition.
@Android 2990 Version 2.0 sadly it is true, he spent over a year building it with multiple versions but sold it a couple months back. pretty sure he said something along the lines of "it was costing too much to keep" or something along those lines
5:51, The reason why rhe straight cut gears are much louder in carbon is because they actually used a real M3 GTR to record the cars sound for nfs carbon. Hope this helps!
If you have a E46, and you did the GTR bodykit, LS swap it and put an E85 kit in there. Dual gas tanks are for the ease of refueling during pit stops. So, you can keep your regular gas tank, but also have an E85 in the car.
