PROOF THAT ALL AFTER SCHOOL MEMBERS (graduated and current) CAN SING!
I decide to make this video after having heard on 'KBS Singing Battle' that some people think After School members don't sing well, to prove that they do know how to sing and they are all good! I tried not to use the most popular performance, but in same cases i had to use them. Hope you like it! :D #8YearsWithAfterSchool

I wished Pledis saved Kaeun for Pristin. She would've been the oldest but only a year. I believe she fits well there. AS didn't showcase any of her talents.

@@yestoday1073 lol actually pledis did, nu'est was promoted for a long time in China and Japan by other companies (not under pledis management) and they were going to disband in 2016 but nu'est by themselves chose to go to p101 to save the band after watching pristin success there. in fact, they were that aware about their disbandment that one of the songs of their album canvas (2016) was a goodbye song. and even now, pledis doesn't care about promoting nu'est or giving them a cb, fans are the ones who talk to variety shows to invite nu'est and the members are the ones that goes to castings, etc. pledis is just there doing the minimum

I really love E-Young's voice, it's so smooth, cute, beautiful, something that can't explain by words. She could even reach highnote, that's a good thing. But she can't control her breathing while she singing, I hope she can improve in the future ❤

They can all sing but honestly Soyoung really wasn’t that good and while Uee is better she can be hit or miss depending on what she’s singing and I can say the same thing for Jooyeon but honestly they weren’t in AS as singers because all three were actors first singers second, Bekah was really underused in the vocal department and only got to show what she could do if they were doing an English song otherwise she just rapped which is a shame because she could sing very well, the rest are all very good to excellent singers and I miss them all!

forgivemenot1 I don't a lot about singing but I am pretty sure about JooYeon and Uee are/were good singers. Jupal's voice really fit for low ton, and Uee i know her voice is weak, but it fit some cute concept songs, she can also rap

Baekho News Joo Yeon and Uee can sing but they're not what I would class as "singers," the difference to me is someone who can hold a tune against someone who can carry a song, neither showed the vocal dexterity or color to be able to carry a song on their own and make you go "wow they're good" rather they made me go "Hey they don't suck," like I said there were times they sounded good and times they could have done better but it depended on the song and I have to admit that by their last Japanese concert they had both improved a lot.

Would've chucked in Jooyeon's Nat King Cole cover and both her and Uee's solos in 'Lady'at their Japan Premium Party as that's where I think they've sounded their best live. Happy to see that you found the Wild Eyes clip for Soyoung! Nice to see that people still care for AS.

looking at this video make me nostalgic , no more after school or orange caramel, Lizzy is gone since this video, Nana & Raina gonna keep going as solo idol ( singing for raina, acting and modeling for nana) Kaeun is on produce 48, and I'm supporting her and I hope she's gonna make it and poor Eyoung, you were amazing and pretty , you never had a chance to shine :( I hope that for the "official" disband of the group, they release a special song, with all our girls ! Fahmi Shaw When a member's contract to be in the group expires, they can't stay in the group. Apart of this, new members can be added to the group anytime.

This is a stretch. The only member who can sing well in After School was Raina but since she's apart of the main vocal line that explains. However, the others inside the main vocal line couldn't keep up with Raina's abilities. It's like good vs average(s). The others, man they can sing but as in the context of "everyone can sing" if u get what i mean. Uee was my bias in After School and i still am a fan of hers (such a talented actress) but singing wise, she's probably the worst one out of them. After School was one of the first girl groups that i knew of from back in 2010 and it's a shame that Pledis did them dirty like that (they wouldn't been held as one of the most iconic girl groups of second generation had Pledis gave them the justice they deserved. So happy that they are active in their solo endeavors and i only hope the best for them and their careers respectively.

I actually think that UEE is still better than Jooyeon. I like them all, but frankly, to me, her voice is... dry. And I feel like AS didn't really have a good vocal trainer, or not vocally trained at all. Like they practiced all by themselves.

i don't you can't say that other members couldn't keep up with Raina. Except for Uee, Jooyeon and Soyoung who weren't natural singers (the first two improved) , the rest could sing, especially Kahi and jungah. Listening to their solo track both are strong vocalist (and strong main vocalist contenders). Although Raina is so far the member with the highest note , both kahi and Jungha can also hit pretty high note (take "With U" for example). Jungha issue was that she didn't have a good control and Raina's voice and pitch were more stable than her. But compare to them , Kahi had better control and a more stable voice (but had to sing mid range most of the time) - just listen some live of Kahi solo (specially one love). What make a good singer is his/her control and ability to convey feelings not simply his/her voice range.

jooyeon is not a good singer and she knows that herself, she struggles to keep to the rhythm and dance beat, so imagine the amount of hard work she had to put in to be part of THE performance girl group at the time...

She admits herself that she's not good with beats, and her range is not that wide. But I believe that she and Pledis just didn't find a way to utilize her color, coz I find it can be very unique.
