there's actually an official name for her death metal form, when calm, she's Retsuko, when pissed, she's Aggretsuko, even in the original 100 shorts when the show was called Aggressive Retsuko
Everyone's gonna hate me for this but if there will be a season 4 I am DREADING if they just go the romance route and force Retsuko and Haida together. After the events of season 3, I refuse to believe they're still meant for each other. Like, if you really think about it, Haida giving up on someone who genuinely loved him for who he was just to be a creep with Retsuko. He didn't stab her physically but stabbed her emotions to the point where she blew up and told him off. Then he still had the audacity to grab her hand and still make this about romance. This girl got attacked, stabbed in the streets, of course she's still scared! Like hell if someone just gets over something like that. And then to have Haida scream in her face that she's a "chicken" for exercising a healthy amount of trauma of being stalked and attacked by some crazy toxic fanboy in the streets. Not only that, but to barge into her room, via putting his foot in the door, and just tell the mother "Hey I wanna take your daughter out on a date." And her mother did nothing to protect her from someone who could've been equally crazy. I REALLY hope they get Haida a different love interest because personally, I can't forgive Haida for this one. His behavior in this season crossed a line for me.
But I have to ask, does saving someone's life really warrant barging into their house and room to take them on a date where you call them a loser for staying in their house, scared, after a traumatic event?? I get that Aggretsuko wasn't healthy in doing so, but at the same time I think anyone who was just stabbed would be scared of leaving the house again. And then to be taken on this whirlwind date to be insulted to her face for staying in a private space after a terrifying event? That's why I don't like the idea of Retsuko x Haida anymore, personally. I'm more mad at the writers for making it feel like this fairytale where saving the damsel's life means you two are now all romantic from her gratitude. Like it feels like Haide was more acting on opportunity. Like, "I saved her life and this date app says we're perfect for each other, so let's barge in and make it happen." Even though at the end they decided to not get together and work more on themselves (which gives me some small hope), I hate how romanticized Haida's actions were when some of them came across as really... Creepy.
People are misinterpreting this as being Haida trying to make Retsuko love him. When in actuality the scene is forcing Retsuko out of her reclusive state. He wasn’t expecting a love confession, he just needed a way to snap her out of it.
Y'all are forgetting the last scenes or when he saved her or when they sung together, also I think it would be shitty giving him a love interest that knows for a short time like love doesn't work that way.
pretty much admire people who can do that voice, like, imagine the time they take practicing and the time they take care of their throat too, must be hard but worth it
