At the end, when the sirens are going off, I can just imagine the power plants, empty, just slowing heating up and there is nothing you can do. The part that scares me the most is how this message is automated, meaning no one is actually sending the message, it just adds onto the already missing people situation.
doesn't really matter whether or not there are meltdowns because you're most likely going to be taken by whatever is taking everyone else anyways. (plus we have automated systems around the globe for nuclear energy so it wouldn't really happen unless something external is affecting all of them lol)
usually the automated systems within power plants would shut down the plant without any human input after a week. i don't doubt that a few plants may meltdown should something be lodged in the wrong place or perhaps an anarchist at the end of the world deciding he may as well cause it to meltdown if he is to disappear anyway, it could cause it.
Some nuclear plants if not most have a thing where if it gets too hot it will drop in control rods to cool it even if there is nobody there, but over a period of time like a decade you may have an issue
It gets really creepy the further you go through, it reminds me of one of these "do not go outside" scenarios. Also I like the detail the QR-Code actually leads you somewhere with all details, that's a nice addition.
Really chilling and well done! My favorite part is right after the silent warning to specifically avoid the basement or ceiling in your house, the sudden warning to shelter in a basement from nuclear fallout really drives the feeling of hopelessness. Either stay in your home and wait for radiation poisoning or go into the basement with whatever unknown threat there is. Amazing
@@Katthefox. They may fail tho no? If something happened to all the people in the reactors the threat could have also destroyed the computer system accidentally with its fat ass.
@@theredtechengineer1480 Yup. Very smart, and very concerned people, have thought about exactly these situations over a period of decades and have come up with failsafes beyond failsafes. The reactors overheating because no one was there to watch them was one of the parts in this video that made my immersion and interest drop rapidly.
Yeah. I used to live out in the country as a kid. I remember wandering into the field one late night, knowing that I was alone, and yet, something, somewhere, had eyes on me. I looked up at the moon, and saw the stars. I wondered if it was people from the stars watching. Was it the moon? I know my family was asleep, and the animals were too. I went back inside but never forgot that feeling.
@@catsandfriends5918 Its terryfiing honestly, I personally cant realate, but something about just being alone in a wide open area just makes you fell like *something* is just looking at you
Why not take all the food you want for free? Take all the cars you want? Take all the products you want free of charge without anyone else around to stop you? Lol
@@christhelostsoul9927 yes, but,the lack of human interaction will drive you insane, plus there is no power, or wifi, and when your all alone in the middle of the city with massive skyscrapers, its like you are being watched
it's always that one part that is like "do not go outside, close everything inside" gives me goosebumps and your EAS scenarios are really cool i love watching them at night
Especially right after they told you to evacuate. Then they told to not to go in the basement, and yet you have to find shelter somewhere. Either go in the basement and risk the unknown threat, go outside to find a nuclear shelter and risk the unknown threat, or stay inside and possibly die from radiation. Drives a sense of hopelessness.
Great job as always, this type of EAS are the best, initially it seems something "normal" a disappearance. There, all right. and suddenly there is no one else to transmit the messages and also to receive them. And then everything starts to fall apart.
the amount of time that was put into this, i scanned the QR code and this guy actually made a website and added each person onto it. Your doing some crazy things keep it up!
The setting being the UK kinda reminds me of a series we had over here on CBBC called _The Sparticle Mystery_ since it had a similar premise (except the only people who vanished were adults). The ending pretty much sums up what would really happen in a scenario where everyone suddenly disappeared from a whole country - without people to keep critical systems running safely (as well as the fact that even if people elsewhere knew what happened, it would still take them time to get there), things would very quickly go nuclear; quite literally, in fact!
Nuclear reactors have systems in place to prevent them from 'going nuclear' if no one is there to monitor them. Though it's a nice concept to imagine and makes for an interesting story.
@@bowmin1 Yeah, Scram systems would slow things down, though it’s worth mentioning that in situations where they’re required to be used, it’s less about stopping the problem and more turning an immediate disaster into one that has more time to be avoided, as reactors still generate heat even when suspended.
I'm pretty sure nuclear meltdown was a major plot point in the first series, where the adults end up giving a universal shutdown code for the reactors when they meet up briefly
My heart pounded a bit harder as I kept seeing "channel offline". Can you imagine if this actually happened and you're lost in the silence of no information?
The scariest part is that when the EAS said do not go to the basement or the ceiling I was thinking someone is in the basement or the ceiling which that made me even more scared
@@CommissarChaoticsomething is in the water something is in the water something is in the water something is in the water something is in the water something is in the water something is in the water something is in the water
Man I was so immersed and then I immediately snapped out of it because of a Peepy ad lol. I genuinely love this video and it seems so real and is so immersive that sometimes you forget it's just a scenario! An overall 11/10, I loved this video, and I love the creator!
I’ve always had a thought about something something similar to this. But everyone disappeared all at once, but everything kept being up kept. Like food being restocked in stores, lawns being gardened, etc. So everything seems to go on as normal but you are the only person in existence.
set up cameras around the house to see people walking around at night going about life while youre sleeping, but the minute you wake up everyone runs away because no one wants to see that creased blanket you call a face
Reminds me of Plague Inc’s “Where Is Everyone” which is how Plague would spread with very few vectors of infection. But instead in infection, you survive what the world has for the few left.
The channel surfing part is actually really creepy, I've seen alot of EAS but they aren't really that scary until the EAS starts going Silent and saying to be quiet as hell. Gets me a bit uneasy sometimes but the fact that you are not allowed to speak, make any noise at all, look for you're family members when they've gone missing. Good job!
Honestly, i'd love to see a EAS scenario series about godzilla or some form of kaiju, and one of the ads in one of the later episodes is the military looking for pilots for a mecha or smthn.
This is great, but my only critique is the nuclear fallout thing in the end. Modern nuclear power plants have so many safeguards in place that if everyone disappeared, there still would be no accident. The reason why the nuclear power plant accidents that have happened happened is because of actively ignoring procedure and violating basically every rule, knowingly or not. Unless this was a purposeful sabotage by the government in order to save the last of humans from whatever threat, in which case, amazing writing.
A lot of these are based in alternate universes, so they may not have any of those things, and also, its a possiblity that whatever it was, causing people to go missing, was using the message as a way to lure people into basements, people who didn't want to die of radiation poisoning
I swear the ones with just text are the scariest because, there is no hiding the ugly truth, it just tells you what to do, and what happens when you don’t obey
I’ve taken a liking to you adding adverts into your videos, as it allows you to mock/persuade (etc) about different topics, such as the 14 being the same as the iPhone 13 in almost every way, and yet costing more than it.
The list of missing people reminded me of when i was learning english and we were taught how to describe people to learn adjectives and stuf, weirdest trowback to have at this moment
I'm actually surprised about the detail on the pear watch ad! I think that will go with the Apple Watch's today in our timeline.. Also the QR code in the Glasgow chapter is redirecting me to a much better and "sort-of" snapshot of the missing persons! Pretty cool!
Hey man you should probably change the phone number on the Google sites cause I called it thinking it was a fun number that would give me some extra stuff, not actually call the Glasgow police department 💀
my only issue with this one is that nuclear powerplants are failsafe, if the temp gets too high they are automatically shut down and cooled to a non-dangerous point
my sister and i decided to call the number in the site after scanning that QR code and uh didnt fucking realize a dispatcher would be on the other end 💀💀💀
Looking up on youtube, it sounds like a down pitched UK WW2 Air Raid siren. If you’re interested, I would suggest looking up the old ‘protect and survive’ videos which were made by the Uk government during the 70s in case of imminent nuclear war, as IIRC air raid sirens were part of the warning system in case of nuclear war.
I love your videos very nice good quality but I have to ask what editor do you use because I wanna make some of my own if you don’t wanna answer that’s cool otherwise have a great day
This reminds me of that episode from The Girl From Nowhere when she wrote," I want everyone to dissappear" on the bathroom stall, and only whom remained was her and Nanno
