@@TeeAreEff82 we def had passion even with disagreements but I 100% was frustrated with this ending. I think the writers completely messed up. I also don’t like how completely removed they had Liv written in that last scene. They are such a beautiful couple even in season 4 but Liv’s complete determination to break an article this season & what seems like total disregard for the one man who has been riding for her is such a 180. There are so many other ways that could have written this & allowed her to achieve success without it being at the cost of a healthy relationship so I just don’t get why they are putting strain on their best ship is disappointing. I love Liv but I don’t like how she is moving.

That's been Olivia Baker since day one. However Spencer loves all parts of her. I believe it's come down to her pivotal point of figuring out who she is as well as her dreams. Like Grace mentioned at the table with Spencer. It's for sure a vital moment of make or break for the relationship.
To be honest both kind of doing the same thing. Putting their own future first and I can’t blame either of them. I will say Olivia needs to stop reporting on football. Jordan was right she need to stop writing about things that could hurt her family. Because in season 3, she the reason her mom had to quit her D.A job and we all know how hard her mom worked for that. The coach intentionally drew Spencer close to him now, just because he knew that Olivia and Billy was unto him. He is basically using Spencer as a shield, but I'm happy that the assistant coach is seeing through all his bullshit. But sadly, Spencer is already falling for it.

We all hate Liv right now but come to think of it her story helped Jordan. By getting Wade exposed, he got bench , Jordan got in the game and now he is QB1. Coach Baker becoming their coach probably going to be much easier for Spencer and Jordan.
It's a complicated space to pick a side here, especially when we've been apart of their journey this far along. It's so easy to understand both sides. They're both growing, in college and making their dreams happen. As well as creating and developing such a sacred relationship. They'll figure out what's best for them as a whole if that's what they both truly want. It has to be both sides and if we're being honest. I feel like Liv has been kind of checked out the relationship since college happened. What do yall think?
When I first watched the episode I was devastated. They have come so far and seeing each of them so happy was everything. Honestly the writers are putting so much distance from the way they are writing Liv at the moment. I understand Liv’s passion for her journalism and it was one things I respected. However, I can’t get with her doing stories that have the potential to have huge implications in the lives of the people she loves when other people at the paper can do so and it wasn’t an assignment it was her actively pursuing it. To me this hits completely different than her leaking police brutality video. Although Wade and Coach Boone need to be called to the carpet absolutely it doesn’t have to be her. There are many other stories that could allow her success without costing her and the people she cares about everything. IDK I really am trying to have an open mind going into S5 & pray that something shifts and these two find that love and best friend that is still there. All of season 4 I saw the old Liv in there with pure intentions, passionate & driven all in a balance. I guess in that last scene it was the first time I couldn’t see her but I want to hold out faith because I do believe in them & the love story. @Tom Ford wow I don’t know if I can agree. I think she goes hard for the people she loves and the drive she has. She has shown how she can be selfless many of times. It’s only in this circumstance that I have seen it be a disservice and haven’t been able to completely rock with how she has moved. It’s disheartening because it’s affecting the relationship that’s truly great and I don’t think the writers had to write in this way. However, I am not ready to drag Liv or her character or sign off on this couple, the impact or future potential. Even if worst case scenario happens no ship will be as great or have the impact that this ship or these two actors have had and to me that is what’s sad about everything going on at the moment. I still don’t think their journey is finished and I am just going to brace myself for S5. However, after seeing multiple perspectives I am not calling it an end to Spelivia. I just hope that people can look at it from all vantage points even though I am not fully on board with Liv’s choices in this season I am not dragging her character either. I am hoping that their is more conversations and less of a distance which can remind people why these two worked so well. Anyways everyone is entitled to their opinions but I am just trying to keep faith and also be open minded to any and all outcomes.
I think that yes it’s difficult balancing establishing a career and a serious relationship but if any couple could do it Spencer and Liv are the ones to do it. I get both sides. I don’t think Liv has checkout of the relationship. I think she has to learn the balance of pursing one dreams and learning in her career when you have to step aside and allow someone else to write something when it is in best interest of everyone’s overall including preservation of self. It doesn’t have to be one of the other. However, these two have so much story still to tell and we def didn’t get them onscreen together enough with the exception of last episode it kept us wanting more. I don’t know any other ship that has had a the song made the episode after they became official or have been on top ten lists of TV couples or as engaging if not more when we can see their love on a TV screen. For all of these reasons their love can and should come out of this stronger. I believe in this ship and hopefully NK during this time will rectify this crazy distance that can be resolved.

You can tell whose never been in a rekationship and seen in through the tough moments thst happen AFTER the honeymoon phase of a relationship just from a lot of these comments. BOTH are communicating very well about what they need and what is changing. They'll be fine - maybe they'll take some space but as the story is about the REAL Spencer we know he DOES end up with Liv who is based on the real Spencer life... i like that they're showing what a REAL relationship goes through when two people have career gosls and life to manage. A lot of people can learn from it instead of ONLY wanting the honeymoon phase to last forever.
👏🏿 I absolutely love that are showing this side of the relationship as well... after just coming out of the honeymoon phase into work- life- relationship balance phase I think it's more about doing the work than just saying I want to put in that work. A lot of people on Instagram are making comments towards the writers for going this route and that they should’ve did a “pregnancy scare” and I was like what!? Like, bruh if they wanted to break up Spence and liv, they would’ve done that a few episodes ago, but even they know that the love they have is strong yet so real. They are the ones who built it up for 3 seasons. Now, we already saw the good of their relationship, now we’re seeing the bad that challenges it but like you said they’re gonna be fine.
I can tell who has never been in a real relationship. The honeymoon phase doesn’t last forever especially with two strong personalities like Spencer or and Olivia. People evolve so the question is can they and will they evolve with each other? I believe they can and will. Coop realized she couldn’t evolve with Patience and I commend her for that.
I agree. However, I do think they can make it through & I think people are frustrated because it seemed all through S4 that they were doing just that. So I think because of that & their love story having endured a lot already people were frustrated ultimately because they are invested into the success of the couple. Plus Daniel & Samantha are such a dynamic pair which has transcended this ship. So even the possibility of that thought is a loss. Why is what Olivia’s doing wrong? Wade did something objectively bad, she found out, she should’ve reported it. If the coach did something bad, she should report on that. Everyone justifies covering shit like this up even in real life saying it’s better for the school, the employer, etc and people like this take advantage of that. We depend on reporters and journalists to have integrity and report on these issues so they can come to light. She was given an assignment she should follow it, if she’s serious about journalism it’s her responsibility.

Low audience watching means no season 6. Spelivia relationship is why most fans watched the series, so the writer will fix them trust me.

I get what you’re saying but The reason way I side more on Jordan and Spencer’s side on this one is because every story she’s had so far have been solely on her friends and loved ones lives. Although she has good intentions for her actions it costs them more than it cost her and sooner or later they’re going to feel like they can’t tell her anything or any problems they have in life because instead of being their friend and just being there an supporting them she takes what they tell her between just them and goes and uses it for her career instead of just letting them figure it out and solve their own problems. No their bond is too strong. I hope they figure this out. I feel like Olivia is doing what is best for her and focusing on herself as she should, but Spencer just made a stronger bond with his coach and he actually helps him. Olivia just loves to go after Spencer’s new friends 🥲👍.
IDK I am super conflicted because there are so many valid points. I am frustrated because up until this point Spencer & Liv were such a statement of unity and beautiful love. Of course nothing is perfect but their journey up until this point was close to it. Part of me completely gets where people are saying exposing Wade & Coach Boone is necessary & if she wants to be taken serious she can’t dead stories especially if it exposes unethical practices or saving lives. However, another large part of me is completely in alignment that she could have pursued other stories from other schools that wouldn’t have a direct fall out for the people she loves. I also feel like during the season you saw her restless and show her love for her relationship where as in the last scene she seemed removed which just pulled at my heart strings because Spencer doesn’t deserve that. I also felt like we saw how much of a toll the Wade story was in all areas for multiple people (Jordan broke his fist) & it felt like she wasn’t introspective at all from that experience to then say I am coming after your coach. I love Liv but it was unsettling. I am frustrated with the writers to for not allowing the best ship to be happy & not sure what’s in store come season 5. They deserve to be happy so it’s difficult to know that there is even a possibility of the writers not allowing that to happen it felt like the rug was being pulled out from under us fans. Then there is a part of me that truly feels like this couple has a foundation of friendship & history of pure intentions for each other and unmatched love still between them so maybe we will see more of that in S5 that we saw in the current season. We saw it in the beginning and we saw it in the way disagreements were resolved. So I guess I say all of that to say I can’t count this amazing couple out even with the last episode because even in that we saw how Liv went to second half of game when she saw Spencer struggling on the field & we saw their emotion at the beach house & we saw that they still love each other even if Liv is acting different. I just have to trust & believe they will get through this adjustment even the moms said as much once the chips fall with this Coach Boone.
I get both sides, but Liv's future is not defined by ONE article and if she would really try, she'd be able to not only look for stories within her closest circle. Jordan was right when he pointed out that every time she is "breaking a story" it involves her loved ones and hurts them. Spencer's future on the other hand is depended on GAU's program right now and so is Jordan's because he isn't even a scholarship athlete but "just" a walk-on.

Spencer is a freshman lmao. As someone that’s played college football, that’s VERY realistic. If you want to play as a freshman, you have to work harder then everyone else and bust ur ass to prove you’re ready for that level of football. I was a four star out of high school and I only played my senior year in college. It’s rare to find college coaches that’s not hard on you 😂 imo the coach on the show softer then real life coaches at the college level

I hate the general story surrounding Wade, NIL, and her reporting & spencer over ambitious attitudes when he had not achieved anything yet on the field but wanted his own brand. My belief is the writers should have given them a time jump to deal with the present stories. It seems a little above their age which is 18/19 years old. They are first-year students and it doesn't seem realistic in my opinion. Did anyone ever see Olivia in class or heard her talk about the course or even study? Love all American & Spelivia the series was given too many EPs and the story content was too repetitive like Spencer and Olivia argue the same thing all time make up and learn nothing. Anyway, if Wade is a Bad Guy and Coach she should write an article about them whether is close home or not because it tells about a person who accepts/know someone doing wrong and still working for them because it is good for their career and life. Evil/ wrong, wickedness prevails when good men sit and do nothing, so if Jordan and Spencer don't know that then something is seriously wrong with them and all support them. Olivia really be the one starting all the fights. She doesn’t something wrong and Instead of apologizing, she makes it seem like spencer is the problem. This is what I think is going to happen Olivia is going to make it very hard for herself by her doing the article it's going to cause drama with spencer and jordan like spencer said the coach had his arms around them and he's starting to adjust By Jordan punching wade and now jordan is going to be out for 6 to 8 weeks which she had a feeling it was wade the whole time and wasn't honest with spencer now that layla dad retired Clay ownes the company now so he's going to be likely a jerk but him and Layla might start messing around again now this is when jordan is going to go to her for comfort layla might go even harder with the label since clay is on there Jordan is going to feel away one thing I can agree with What Simone said in the letter Jordan need Spencer I feel like both of them are going to need each other for half of season 5 I think Spencer and Olivia are still endgame they need a break to get adjusted in their careers we all want them to be the perfect couple since season 1 but they have to go through something Olivia going to realize her mistakes . they'll come back together we didn't wait three seasons for no reason.

I just don’t get, she can literally write a story about anyone but she constantly chooses to do them on the things that involve Spence then gets mad when he reacts this way, wade is Spence and Jordan’s teammate and Garrett is their coach she is so eager for a story she’s starting not to care about how it will affect them and honestly liv’s character is becoming very selfish.
I feel like if she keeps going for people on Spencer’s team and people put the two and two that they are together it’s gonna have a negative effect on the team and Spencer’s relationship

Yeah basically she's telling Spencer I don't love you ,I'm gonna find a story whether it's out there or not because at this point she don't know there's a story ,but she's testing him and that's not a good relationship but she's privileged young always had her way 🙃
We know the two have major obstacles to work through. A D1 star athlete dating a journalist will definitely lead to this kind of conflict. Looking forward to Season 5. There we could see everyone’s endgame. Just unsure if you’d need 20 episodes though.

Does Oliva realize she's been impacting the lives of those around her and she doesn't care because she doesn't get any consequences for her actions a lot of people forget to realize if she posts this story and Spencer and Jordan's team is impacted by this Spencer financial future is put into jeopardy but ofc Oliva wouldn't know anything about that and she doesn't even care when relationships get tough people show their real colors and that's the difference between Spencer and Oliva. Spencer says he will fight for this relationship while Oliva on the other hand shows time and time again she wants to run when it gets hard I no longer thinks that Oliva deserves Spencer and Spencer should find somebody that cares about their careers but doesn't get involved in his unless it is to support him
I hope she drags the coach through the mud then I comes out he is actually a really nice dude or he did bad things for the right reason that would be funny but also a great story line for her

I’m actually bothered by him dating her. He seems to deal with problematic girls. That’s a bad trait to have as a young man and take that into manhood. She needs to find herself and grow.
