To Aaron , I say to every condolences to people around me, and it is piling up, to make the grief as serene as positive. The five steps of grief are insidious and work hard on us, I lost both parents in the last 20 years. I live as much as possible of my motto, and the best is remembering the great souvenirs and keep away what was bad. If you still have reactions based on being responsible one way or another or feeling angry, this is where positive thinking help.

The kids are just so sweet. Every gift is all thought out and just so sweet and sentimental 😊

When I send out my mother's day wishes, I always take time to give a special thanks to all the single mothers, those that have passed on, the women who have been substitute mothers for someone, and to those that never had a chance to enjoy a relationship with their mother or know them due to adoption/foster situations. I have been VERY lucky to have my mom in my life, my entire life, and as she is getting older, it really helps put things into perspective what time means, what saying I love you means, what sharing days like this means. Loss is very hard, my cousins just lost their mom suddenly and seeing my cousin holding her mom's ashes and sobbing was a sight that truly hurt my heart. All you can do Aaron is feel the feels. It's how you know you're alive and how much you actually loved your mom because it hurts. It's not a fun feeling, but you know where it's coming from. Hug your babies, hug your loved ones, say thank you and I love you and mean it.

I feel for Aaron. I lost my brother in August of 23 and lost my mother in January of 24. It's been very hard. I know they aren't hurting anymore. Doesn't stop the pain of missing them. But it gives me comfort to know in my heart they are together. PRAYING FOR YOU Aaron ❤❤❤

I feel for you, Aaron. It has been 15 years since my mom passed, and days like this make it feel like yesterday. Keep your chin up and remember the positives your Mom.

Aaron I graduated in 2001 even tho I graduated 1 year early. My point is I know we are near the same age. I lost my mother in December 2017. I feel your pain and it is normal to have moments of triggers and they come when you least expect it. I was told it will get harder before it gets better but always remember it does get better with time. That was the best advice I was given. Please look into the stages of grieving and understand what stage you are in and begin to create your new normal. Nothing will be the same without your mother but keep pushing thru it will get easier. Never be ashamed to cry and let it out. Happy mothers day to all the mothers out there!

I still have my mom but I lost my stepmom almost 4yrs ago!And I have to say the 1st Mother’s Day was incredibly hard!And this year was pretty close to that day! I’ve wanted to share so much with her! I wish so much that I could call & just vent till I couldn’t talk anymore!She was always there no matter what & without judgement!! I miss & love her so much!

I also felt Aaron’s sadness. I lost my own Mom 2 Decembers ago. She was my best friend. I wish I could say it gets better. Just know that you are not alone. I have been watching Crazy Pieces and Crazy Middles for years. I love your family. God bless you all.

Sweetest video I’ve seen in a while. Your children’s responses to honor their mom is evidence of how good Crystal is in her maternal role. Aaron-I completely empathize. My grandmother’s “graduation” anniversary came about a week before Mother’s Day and normally it’s fine but for some reason this year I just kept crying while everyone else was preparing their cinco de mayo feast. I miss her, no matter how long it’s been. I also believe our bodies know our traumas and sometimes that subconsciously hits. My grandma was my best friend. I am usually ok But grief can hit you on any occasion. Also Bella-you are very lucky and your art is beautiful

Aaron , my mom passed away when I was 23 and now I am 44 . I promise it will get easier as time goes by. She was my best friend and I have so many memories of her. You and Crystal on should make a memory box of her. In mine I put the funeral form and flower. If you don't have that it's ok . See if you can find something she wrote or one of her favorite things and put it in a shadow box. My stepdad gave me a disk of her voice from her voicemail . Maybe make one for Grandpa too. Happy Mother's day! This Sunday at church as we sat and listened to the hymm. I too lost it. Sitting next to my husband thinking that we both lost our mom's seven months apart in 2021 and early 2022. Made me very emotional. I think that says a lot of all our special mom's that are in our thoughts and no longer with us. We are blessed because they nurtured unconditional love and the fact we miss them says they impacted our lives in the utmost special way.

Aaron your mother's is celebrating Mother's Day in heaven with all the other mothers. My mother's day changed forever back in 2013. My oldest son died from complications due to type 1 diabetes. He was 24. He passed on 5/11/13. It was the day before mother's day of that year. This year it fell on the same day. I still have 4 other kids but my mother's day will forever be incomplete. I had a wonderful mother's day very quiet and simple 🥰

Aaron I completely understand your pain. I lost my Mom on 7/13/23. . So it was my first as well. My heart is so broken. I try to be ok when I am not.i spent the day with my Grandchildren but it was not the same as She was not there. I work so hard on not being sad but then something hits me and I just want to bawl. Grief is a journey and it is the price we pay when we lose those that we love. The one thing that is so neat about love is it never dies. We hold them in our hearts until we meet them again.
