Nice video M.Hood. My father used to fish off Eden Isle when I was a kid and he said it was great for speckled trout, catfish, horseshoe crabs, blue crabs and i’m sure there was more he caught. Makes me want to go back home again.

You left the Empire Marina heading west. There are no barrier islands to the west unless you go all the way to Grand Isle

Was that the bridge by fouchon? I fished the last island area alot when i lived down there. Spent many weekends out by the Texico camps

yeah, it sucks we are getting punished for the overfishing of reds. I am wheelchair-bound and stuck to fishing to piers and select land areas so getting to slot-size redfish is really hard. These new regulations are not great for me when I do want a redfish for meat for my freezer for meat. I do enjoy catching them as much as the next person, but I never keep two in one fishing trip when they are breeders I always try to keep the smallest one I can catch.
