I feel like this video just shows how we each got way different experiences to this game

I was proud of the devs for how they handled the duo bosses, they didn’t feel cheap or spammy

Fun fact: if you’re struggling on the Bishui golden eyed beast and all that fire damage in chapter 5, make it hit the ice wall across the arena and there will be a crack you can run in that leads to an icy arena he’ll follow you to, which in my opinion makes him a lot more manageable.

Fun fact from what i understand the "tiger vanguard" is the father of the mad tiger and the other tiger vanguard since in the secret area you travel back in time thats also why the yellow wind sage is not insane in that area

You get a spell in chapter 3 called Spell Binder that removes your ability to use spells, transformations, and vessels in exchange for a large attack boost. Since erlang counters mostly everything anyway I just said fuck it and played vanilla monke stick game. Made me appreciate the Wukong's combat flexibility for sure... there isn't a single thing Erlang does that can't be conquered with your base kit.

After beating Erlang made me reach like I reached Buddhahood enlightenment 😂

I really like that you can get a hidden item by doing a side quest in a chapter and usually go into a secret realm in this game to make the endboss of a chapter easier. It feels so rewarding to do so. If you dont want this you can still opt to not use it or skipt the side quest. Wish they would have done that in every chapter. Btw: chapter 4 secret realm is the most beautiful game world I have ever been in. Its fricking gorgeous and I love all of it. All but 2/3 bosses who turn out to be super hard.

Erlang becomes a pushover if you focus on destroying his shield with specific spirits and the flask that reloads some of your fan meter with each sip. Makes him way easier than the final boss.

19:43 one thing to note. There's several rocks you're able to jump on. However, he smashes them throughout the fight. If you're not careful, he can smash every rock, making it so you HAVE to jump and dodge each Shockwave.

The reason you cant die in the Intro Erlang fight is because Wukong is immortal 6 ways from sunday at this point. The reason you lose is because his main weakness, the headband on his hand, cripples him

Love how these bosses are ranked different by everyone due to playstyles being different. Example sunburn heavy attacks not hitting certain bosses while I didn't have any issue because I used thrust stance heavy.

How is the scorpion in 11th position? He's easily the 3rd or 2nd hardest boss to beat in the game if you do it without being over-leveled xD.

Also to add, i felt they are like Sekiro wannabes, they tried to make success in same way Sekiro did, but on top of that they added too much attack combos, and pumped bosses with lot of health and extra phases so you dont have time to get used to boss attack pattern, because its tedious you get only the taste of his attacks in second phase or at 30% boss life, so you dont have time to master some of his later moves to avoid. Damage sponges + lot of damage.

If it helps, I did some trial and error to see if there was a way to prevent Broken shell from stealing your drink. 1 seems to work for certain, the other, needs more research to confirm. Let know what you find. First method is always healing when he is in an attack animation. That 1 seems to work. The other that is kinda iffy is immediately rolling after you drink. I would see him try to use immobilize when I drank, but it didn't seem to affect me when rolling. Like I said, that one needs more research, though. But every attempt that i used those methods, he never stole my drink. So Idk what to tell ya. Lol

Did anybody know for bishui the golden eyed beast you don’t have to fight him in the room you meet him in! If you look behind him there’s a like ice block and in the middle of the block there’s an opening where you can see stairs! If you go over there and use cloud step and place your clone in front of it he will tear it down and you can go in there! Now after you go in and follow the path into another big area he will show up again but this time he will be frost damage! So it’s pretty cool you can fight him as either or! I found him being frost damage ironically easier to beat

8:33 how did you do that pole attack? Edit: found it out, in the smash progression tree it's called Skyfall slam I believe and it's a second heavy attack after using resolute counterflow

Black Loong was the absolute hardest Loong for me. It took me like 10 tries to finally get him down, the red one I beat first try, Cyan took 5 times, and Yellow took 3 tries. I fucking hate the black loong so much lol

quick as fire / fast as wind: you can play baseball with the head and hitting the demon-head in the air. a charged heavy worked for me

Immobilize works on a lot of bosses it seems it fails on because most need to be damaged first. Erlang specifically needs his shield bar gone

From the perspective of a no self advancement, no spells/spirits/transformations/vessels (this includes using spell binder despite how badly I wanted to use it), and no consumable playthrough, I think the final boss is honestly way more rough than erlang. Don’t get me wrong, erlang is rough but at least I can fucking hit him. The fight with the great sage took fucking 8 minutes of non-stop ballsack in waffle iron action.

Beating Erlang with Spell Binder was one of the most badass things Ive ever done. It was the first time I chose to use that spell too, as Immobilize was just too good. Anyway, in my case the boss I struggled the most with was Yellow Long. That mf got me there for like 3 hours and was the only boss I had to cheese by charge smash heavy spam and run.

No boss has been hard to me except Yin Tiger, but I fought him the moment I discovered him. Took me 7-8 tries. All other bosses have been 1-2 tries MAYBE 3 max

The duo bosses and the yin tiger are hands down some of the best fights I have ever done in a souls game.

Probs my top three hated bosses are the Hundred-Eyed Master, Captain Wise-Voice, and Yellow Loong. The Hundred guys was on another level of rage for the beyond crappy hit boxes.
