Fun fact the locations of the houses in Luigi's mansion 2 spell out ghost like gloomy manor haunted towers old clockworks secret mine and treacherous mansion
Arachnophobia Playing 100% through Luigi's Mansion 2 the 4th time helped me control my reaction to spiders IRL While I still jump at least I don't cause others to say "do you hear that, sounds like the wind" while I'm making tracks
The Wolfgeist - Mozart reference isn't a Poltergeist synonym. Geist is simply the german word for Ghost, working well with Mozart being austrian - a german speaking country.
Fun fact: if you decide to leave morty alone he will actually make the fight with ghostzilla in a movie and show you after some time. Its a fun thing. You get to see it because he only wanted to make a movie and thought that luigi was amazing for it
This first game is still the best, the portait ghosts were just hard to top, the hotel ghosts where nice, but the lore behind the portrait ghosts were too good. They cant do anotjer family, but maybe a museum, and its alot of famous artists and celebrities who died in weird ways and you fight thier creations or an abstract of the way they died. A very dark Luigi game. Like the first one was.
@sweet shine then make your own comment and gain some likes. Cuz wrong crowd here my guy. But someone may value that opinion. We call this recency bias
Amadeus Wolfgeist is one of my favorite bosses in the franchise. The theatrics of the whole fight and how you have to defeat him is so creative. I grew up playing the original with my mom and she watched me play through some of 3 and we were both shook by the Amadeus fight 😂
Y'know...I just realized something. All three Luigi's Mansion games have a boss that involve a piano. Melody from 1, the Poltergeists in Gloomy Manor's "Quiet Please", and Wolfgeist
What always stuck out to me was that Chauney's description says "He cries loudly and never sleeps through the night, but since he was born a ghost, this seems natural" Take note of that part near the end, "he was born a ghost". And Sue Pea's description basically outright states that she died in her sleep. I also realized you neglected to mention that Henry and Orville are references to Henry Ford and Orville Wright, inventor of the Ford automobile and the airplane, respectively. Though I suppose that's fairly obvious anyway.
Dark moon is probably still my favorite, followed very closely by lm3. Some missions were pretty epic when I was a kid: going to the back of a giant mansion to find a haunted graveyard, exploring egyptian chambers, on a dog chase in some creepy catacombs, fighting a giant suit of armor. And the fact that king boo said he wanted to be the supreme ruler of the world, not just a guy that wants to trap mario. The ending is super sweet too, with polterpup becoming luigi's doggy.
From all the Mario Characters King Boo had the most and longest Character Developement. While everyone else stayed the same Most of the time, he went from "I'll play with my victim for a bit" to "I am so pissed right now, Imma erradicate your entire family and friends!"
I can't believe how little I actually remember of Dark Moon at times when I went through the process of 100%ing it, but seeing all these ghosts in order does bring up some fond memories of my young-in days with the original game and my dozen of playthroughs of it.
no, it’s still impossible. Even with tas and 2X poltergust vacuum. He seems to break free once his health reaches a certain point, regardless of your hp draining speed
Third game third boss there's actually two different endings for that one the one If you're playing single player then little slime boys going to go on conscious But multiplayer Luigi's going to look confusedas his gooey counterpart is still awake
Im surprised that you didn't point out how the twins names are based off Henry Ford, who helps pioneer automobile manufacturing, and Orville Wright, one of the wright brothers who helped pioneer aviation. Its even reflected in the vehicles they use, henry with a car and orville with the plane Also, the adjectives of the possessors in luigi's mansion dark moon also spell out ghost if you take the first letter from each (G)rouchy (H)arsh (O)verset (S)hrewed (T)ough
A thing I like about letting morty do his thing is if you come back later in the game, he'll have finished editing the movie he was making while you fought the zilla ghost
Tbh Dark Moon was my favorite game of all 3. However I think we can consider the telepatic ghosts (idk how they're alled in english lol) as bosses, maybe not the one(s) in Gloomy manor (tbf here, it's more the Boo in the 4th mission that can be considered a boss), but the one in the Old Clockworks surely is a boss, especially if we consider its fight. I also believ that the one in the Treacherous Mansion is a boss too as he straight up steals the book to access the Train Exposition. The one on the first mission of the Haunted Tower can be considered as a boss too (maybe ?) as defeating him grants access to the whole potential of the place thanks to the water finally flowing. Lastly, the 3 chained ghosts in the Secret Mine are more of minibosses each, but together, they do form a fun boss to fight
The most annoying ghost for me in Luigi’s mansion 2 was the final boss in the secret mine. Bearing in mind when I played the game for the first time was when it first came out, and I was around 11 years old and there weren’t any tutorials to help. I distinctly remember re doing that fight multiple times until I managed to do it one day. Easily the most irritating boss for me.
This video made me mad, im a big Luigi mansion 2/ dark moon fan and seeing some of the bosses being cut out made me mad, bro forgot the piano guy (wont say because am Australian) and the three ghosts you encounter in secret mine, making you have to beat them before progressing to the place you shoot hot coal at the zip lines, you know, the ghosts with chains
9:14 Gold Frame Tip: Sucking up flying objects removes them from the fight with the portrait ghost. Clearing them can make the fights much easier. Handy for the following Ghosts and Rooms: Nevill (The Book) Chauncy (Teddy Bears in the pre-battle) The Kitchen (Pots and Pans) Helps make getting the Blue Ghost in the Dishwasher easier. The Tea Room (China Plates) Helps make getting the Gold Cheese Mouse easier. Sue Pea (The Clown Dolls) Jarvis (Ceramic Jars)
I think you could have talked of some mini bosses in dark moon even though they don't really have a story, like the poltergheist of the sand world, of the last world, and the haunted tower one, or the super ghosts when you enconter them the first time.
One had some really good atmosphere and character dynamics, while Three had some fantatic puzzles and boss fights. It gets me interested in the world of Luigi's mansion, wondering if there is a spooky side to the mushroom kingdom outside of boos and dingy mansions, like maybe hidden villages or occult practices, or maybe other people in the same line of work as E.Gadd. it just makes me hungry for more mario horror outside ofnthe standard.
i actually softlocked boolossus my first time around because there was just 1 small ghost left and the game tried to reform that and put it into a limbo state where i could not split it anymore lol
My favourite boss ghost is amadeus wolfgeist I just love the attack variety and the fact that it's this good for how early you fight it I also like the return of the evil piano from mario 64 lol
My favorite game is the third, two ghosts that I really like are Miss Petunia, Madame Clairvoya, Herlinda, Morty, Ug, Clem, Serpci, DJ Phantasmagloria, and King Boo’s third game version.
5:52 slim's name could potentially be a reference to the song 'you dont mess around with jim' by jim croce, where the lyrics go: Well, outta south Alabama came a country boy He said I'm lookin' for a man named Jim I am a pool shootin' boy My name's Willie McCoy But down home, they call me Slim
I think the first may be my favorite despite the trouble I have beating King Boo in it as I find him tougher than the others in the game, especially when he is the only one that actually can act as a roadblock in that game for me. I also enjoyed dark moon, of which I remember having a harder time against him than the other bosses in that game, and I like how the stair boss looks enough and I like how the ice boss looks. I remember actually hating the third game because it was a slog for me, and to my memory, it was annoying at times, too, but I barely remember much of it.
Awesome video, but where did you get the ages of the ghosts in Luigi’s Mansion 1? Some of them don’t have listed ages but for Jarvis, Whirlindas, and Clarivoya you know how old they are. Wonder where you got those numbers
My favorites are Boolossus and King Boo and Boolossus is actually in luigis mansion 3's scarescraper Tower wich his attacks are very similar to King Boo's
rw:i be honest ,if you get Mario's 🧢🥾🧤💌and his ⭐before you meet Madame Clairvoyance you'd be able to stop going back and 4th for finding Mario's belongings one by one and get to read all of her speech until you capture her,and i got to admit ,about time Luigi had some help from a ghost ,the funny thing about her was that when i 1st saw her i thought she had a pair of big lips,so glad i looked her up on google and to my relief it was just a face mask she was wearing.^_^
I remember as a kid watching boss rush videos on RU-vid and then watching a Luigi’s Mansion boss rush video. When it got to the Chauncey fight, when he did that crying animation I got so scared I legit turned off the video and didn’t get much sleep that night just thinking of that ghost baby crying out at the camera. Guess Neville was right
Fun fact for Sue Pea: if you suck up the clown dolls first (at least in the GameCube version) then they’ll be gone for the rest of the battle, making it easier to finish the room :))
Dark moon has more midboss ghosts Those big brain dudes that throw books and your first encounters with the enhanced ghosts (plus the chained ones) Some of them even use the special boss theme that the three sisters have
I don't know if anyone realized, but every possessor has one more horn than the previous one; *Grouchy* has one on their forehead in the shape of a lightning *Harsh* has two on the back of his head, this ones point forward *Overset* has one on their forehead and two on the back of their head, wich point back and are round-like *Shrewd* has two big horns on their head that point back and up in the end and two smaller ones, one on each horn wich they both point to the up and to the sides Finally, *Tought* has four horns on their head, wich all point up in the form of an arch the two out are big and the two in are small and one last small horn in their forehead wich points, forward
For me King Boo saved Luigi's Mansion 3. I beat Hellen so easily I was a little disappointed. He had such a wide variety of attacks. The only boss that took my like 5 tries to beat
I had an idea for a resort themed Luigi’s Mansion 4 game, a more open world theme game that also has Daisy helping out with the ghost catching. Only reason my idea won’t be used, I have the game ending with Daisy dragging our favorite green boy back to her room and leaving an “Do Not Disturb” sign on the handle (regardless of how much of the game you actually complete)! I have the areas, themes for each level, what the base area is, and the last few boses down but nothing further!
