Garden Warfare 1 had the most personality and charm put into it, and this is genuine proof. The zombies were less serious and way goofier and they had individual personality. Not to say that more modern games took away from that, persay. But it was most evident there.

@@Conecollects I wouldn't call it soulless, persay, but it was definitely lacking some of the magic the first one had. GW2 was still a charming and silly game and I still had a blast sinking over 3500 hours onto it, but it was weaker in terms of element.

@@Conecollects Yeah the absurd technological advances all over every map was a bit much. It was because time travel became an element, being the Citron and Imp classes respectively (they are from the future and stuff) so they thought they should make it all futuristic and all that but honestly it was a bit overdone. They also overused the whole "goats" thing. Like okay goatify for rose was neat, but then they added the zomburger delivery mode, and then the hover goat, like where does it end? It stopped being funny and felt more like Plants vs. Zombies and Goats.

GW1: A nice charm to each intro where you can tell what the boss will do GW2: Good, but too short and doesn't highlight a lot about the bosses, expecting you to already know what they do BFN: Same as GW2, but I like the thing they did with the quote

Since the Mecha Gargantuar/Gargantuar Prime was meant to be in GW1, it definitely would’ve been interesting to see what it’s spawn animation would’ve been like. Personally, I imagine it involving it being powered up in somewhere in like, Zomboss’ factory, with it being loaded with Bug Bots and other things

Here’s my idea on would it could look like: Mech Gargantuar gets out of the ground without the upper torso. The rest of the torso lies down while the legs spin around town. Then the 2 Poles appear from its arm to then zoom in at the eyes glowing

Fun Fact: The Mecha Gargantuanar was supposed to be in the first shooter and you can find textures for it, and when put on the model for Pvz Gw2 they match perfectly, the same goes for the future imp and possibly meant that imp was supposed to be in the first garden warfare but was pushed to its sequel.

To be fair, it possibly does. Garden Warfare is still played for a reason. Garden Warfare 2 is also still good, from what I’ve heard. I actually wanted to play both of those games. Battle for Neighborville…that one sucked. It looks more polished but I saw gameplay and it’s just meh.

I've played both games and to be honest, they're fairly interchangable, if you decide to play the original cast. The only major differences is the new characters and the new variety of things you can fight as the zombies, since now you have plant bosses and plant hordes. so GW2 is basically GW1, but more. The only thing we're missing in GW2 is the good boss animations.

I may be biased because I played it more than the others, but all the bosses in Garden Warfare 1 are the best in my opinion. They look a lot more professional, are actual full fledged cutscenes that really give you a sense of what the enemy can do, rather than just introducing the boss, and they give you some substance to what would just be another brainless zombie. And besides, I have very fond memories of my little brother and I on our PS4's Split Screen mode and kicking some Baron Von BEHIND!

The best is PVZGW1 for sure. You can see that later games wanted to decrease the animation time to reduce the players wait, but unfortunately this decrease also diminished the personality of the zombies and the fun of the animations

I imagine the reason they didn't go with anims on gw2 is they have not only the Zombie bosses, but the Plant bosses, Boss Hunt bosses, and Community Boss Hunt bosses.

7 Zombie Bosses, 4 Plant Bosses, 2 Boss Hunt Bosses, and 4 Community Boss Hunt Bosses. Not only that, but there's also the Gnomes, which have like, 4 bosses in the Floaties, Kings, the 4 Guardians, and the Rainbow Guardian. Total of 21 bosses.

I think it was just to shorten it. Some people probably didn't like the 30 second cutscenes for the bosses, so they just trimmed it a bit. Little unfortunate because they has so much more to show in the first game.

Rating Zombie Imitations By Their Cutscenes In GW1: Gargantuar: 0/10 not even scary, when he pets the imp ITS FUCKING CUTE, I love it, matches the goofiness of pvz. Giga Gargantuar: 0/10 still wholesome, I love it how the imp is rocking hard to music while his big boi raises up. Yeti: 10/10, this dude fucking makes me piss my pants. Baron Von Bats: 2/10, he spawned his own fans, I'm not sure if that was a great idea or he planned that shit, but he kinda scares me. Disco Zombie: 5/10, what scares me is that he's strong enough to break through fucking CONCRETE?! But he do be dancin, ngl, I like how he summoned back up dancers to help him with this dance battle.

I think the reason why the boss animations are shorter and have less personality in Gw2 and BFN is because Boss rounds are way more common in Gw2 and BFN, in Gw1 they feel special, as for why they don’t feel as personal it’s probably because A) their cutscene isn’t in a unique location and B) Their animations are shorter so you can get to the action faster. Like let’s be real the Yeti animation takes up quite a bit of time, idk why he does the icicle rain attack in the cutscene, but at least he drinks the shake?!

As a fan of the pvz franchise I have all the games and now I remember them but if your looking for the best one I would say garden warfare 2 it really fun.
