Honestly it suprises me that calamity stuff made it into this game. I don't think there even was an official collab so rob really must be a fan of terraria
@@GlardoxI bet Rob did play Terraria at some point, because he used to be a huge steam game player in 2011-2014, before he switched over to pretty much only being a dev. He literally epic rated Stella Infection and gave a positive comment on it (someone made Astrum Deus in GD)
Terraria is only the 3rd best reviewed Steam game of all time, no biggie. But on a serious note, it's definitely popular enough that a crossover shouldn't be too surprising. Especially considering more people play modded on Steam than Vanila.
@@TermoPlaysMy modded hours are three times more than the vanilla itself, I played 370 hours of vanilla, and more than 930 hours of Calamity and its Infernum, Tales of the Aquatic, Wrath of the Gods, and Community Remix addons, Fargo's Souls & Eternity mods, Shadows of Abaddon, Thorium, and Mod of Redemption. I also have hundreds of GD hours, but mostly its about concept art and practice for my digital design courses rather than playing the game itself. I do think that a crossover between the two games (Calamity in particular) is inevitable.
as a person with 3600 hours (majority of those in calamity) and also an avid gd player i can confirm this update is truly one of the references of all time
Some clarifications: Yes all of these were confirmed, I spoke to the icon creator themselves The "Community UFO" only references The Community in dynamic to the Shattered Community. It doesn't reference how the actual design looks.
Also note that gd also has Astrum Deus remade in the platformer mode in 2.2. Gd and Terraria has some sort of beautiful connection between each other ❤️
i noticed a lot of these because ive played through calamity, but i didnt realise they were this many. Its cool to see the two games have a sort-of crossover
Not exactly since Calamity doesn't have references to Geometry Dash characters like the Eschaton. I suggest Calamity community creators must add one of the most popular bosses created by the GD community.
I think those are just community submitted icons that RobTop added. So if the players that request these icons to be added also play terraria, I wouldn't be surprised to see terraria themed icons added
the shattered community ufo is still yet to be added to the icon selection as of 2.2's release also cube 397 seems to be the astral beacon but there's probably something else
Where do you find the shattered community ufo? I clicked on every single ufo but I didn't find it, but I found ceaseless void and the community. Do I have to somehow exhume the community to get shattered community just like in calamity mod? :D
@@coolpeterdude8049 im at 150 rn lol, i guess i gotta grind easy demons, i can beat easy demons in anywhere from 20 attempts to like 200 depending on the level so itll take a bit but shouldnt be hard, just time consuming
Ah yes, my favorite things from Calamity~ Eye of Cthulhu, Destroyer, Plantera, Moon Lord, Last Prism, and Zenith! Glad Terraria isn't even known for its base game anymore...
Minecraft is just 3D Terraria with boring boss fights, less weapons, almost no variety, lame music, easy as shit and overall worse. Sorry I took it personally.
I know this video is pretty old enough, but now that i see all of this i grabbed my signus the devourer, ceaseless Void and on top of all of that, my practice music is "Scourge of the universe" so >:3
after comparing that with the entirety of yatagarasu to see whether it matched with any of the art, they look NOTHING alike. that is MOST DEFINITELY DRAGONFOLLY.
before this video was released I was searching for how to get them but all I saw was reddit leaks of these from like 2 years ago, Thanks for this helpful video!!
the moon lord ones i don't think are that big of a stretch but last prism is maybe a small stretch and i'm really not sure about community or void ones. though the community ones are definitely tied and might be inspired but i don't think the ufo is a ceaseless void reference
ok the community and shattered community are a stretch lol, but i already watched a video on these but this video shows off even more that at first glance i didnt even realize were terraria icons!
Not a geometery dash fan but massive terraria and calamity nerd. Just to clarify all of this is in the actual official game and not some mod or texture or anything fan made, right?
@@HyperComet369 never have I seen a mod for a video game get so much recognition from anything official outside of the game it was made for. Calamitys fame is well deserved
yup, they're entirely official. i mean, they're also technically fan made because (at least to my knowledge) ALL OF THESE were submitted in icon contests
