The OG BO1 version will always be best in terms of the horror vibe. The Cold War version also comes close too in that aspect. But I think the BO2 version is the most nostalgic for most people.

When the classic theme hit during the cold war version I got chills

I like how bo2 has a few extra sounds here and there, you really get into it, whereas the bo1 was just plain and simple, love both of them

What i loved about WAW and Bo1 is the absolute horror vibe i mean seriously the Asylum, Kino, and Five if you turned down the music in game you can hear people whispering unknown creaks and sounds of laughter and running around you if you manage to get some time alone without zombies being on your ass. I don't hate easter eggs i think it was a necessary thing for it to happen but if the map it self is a fetch quest and if i have to constantly pause my game to see what i have to do next that ruins my fun i like Origins i really do but i never managed to beat it because of how exhausting it was to get anything done i only manage to beat on Zombie Chronicles because of my friends knew exploits and the very helpful gobble gum.

Bo1 and Bo2 were the best of zombies. Bo3 tho… I had a lot of fun with friends. Going to high rounds, completing Easter eggs, and levelling up to prestige master. The good old days of zombies. Now we go our separate ways in life.

Honestly bo1 2 and 3 are really nostalgic for me. Bo1 and 2 are pretty self explanatory but 3 because that’s when I actually started caring about eastereggs and the storyline also probably the fact that I was getting to the age to actually understand what was happening. This is when I really grew to love the characters which is another big reason I love 3 just as much as 1 and 2.

Gosh zombies is the best thing ever existed in BO series, I enjoyed it so much I will never uninstall BO1, I will always stay with zombies forever

somehow cw is the most nostalgic for me. i think it'll always be my favorite video game ever made because i keep coming back to it and it never fails to bring me joy. campaign mp and zombies all just hit different for me. not too sure what it is about it.

I like how you can hear the earth Creaking and rumbling in the Bo2 theme just to convey how broken the Earth is after the Moon missiles hit it.

I love all of these, but Bo1 and Cold War's are my favorites. Bo1's is just pure nostalgic, and Cold Wars just sounds so eree in the beginning of it.

I love how the BOCW theme starts completely different but then sort of merges into the original theme. Perfect auditory representation of what BOCW Zombies is.

I find it crazy that there's not more people talking about BO4's zombies theme. The song fits perfectly with what the mode was for the game. They knew they were closing out the aether storyline, and that's why the song invokes a sense of epic dread. Making you feel like it's truly the end of a long journey.

Everytime I heard the BO4 Version, I can’t take my mind off when Nikolai was talking. Chills run down my spine every time he mentions this “Everything will soon be gone, where it belongs… THE DARK AETHER”

Damned 3 and Echoes of the Damned are so fucking good. For BO3 I remember savoring every moment of zombies, from the loading screen to the lobby. Hearing this song reach its climax still sends shivers down my spine, I knew exactly how special of a journey it was set to be on first listen. It was and still is a treat to hear this every time I wait for a game. Echoes has a similar effect, with the classic theme being found, not having things layered on top of it throughout the song. That climax hits exceptionally well. Fittingly the theme encapsulates the horrific distortion of the Dark Aether, with found artifacts and such looking very familiar to the player. That piano trickling in is a perfect ode to what was.

BO2 is up there with BO1. It fits really well with the menu and level select in which is the best level select for zombies. I just love going around the globe and seeing where each "takes place"

OG Black Ops 1 and Cold War. Both are amazing and unique in their own perspectives.

the amount of memories, bonds i've had, and general moments playing zombies was so good it's funny, you never really realize how much small things like a main menu theme song matters until later on

BOI, BOII, and BOCW is hella good

It's nice reflecting on these, especially BO1 and BO2. I'm all grown up now, kids and a responsible job, but the amount of times I heard this beautiful lullaby when I'd just been fucking clobbered by a horde of zombies with no ammo on round 63, 7 rounds from my PB whilst staring blankly at a wall thinking why didn't I throw my last monkey will always be with me. Anything past BO3 is new to me, but I'll always cherish those memories ❤️

Ive never gotten to play BO3, just heard it for the first time and the added bass really makes the third version of the theme sound cool.

God I still remember getting cold war simply to get the zombies, the trailer for it had me so hyped. Still love it, and that theme hits so damn hard

I'm so sad I didn't have an xbox so couldn't play bo2 zombies with the OG fans but, now I play on my own and it's so much fun, a little lonely at times but it's still one of the best games out there by far

NGL but BOCW is like a similar theme to Halloween kills but in shorter and creepy way. But in my opinion bo2 theme is excitement, bo3 is calming and intense, bo1 is creepy, and bo4 sounds so serious.

Bo1 and CW are the best ones here. Bo2 and 3 is still really good, but bo1 is a classic and CW has a very eerie vibe that perfectly fits the zombies mode.

**this went from wanting a Bo2 remaster too saying all my favorite maps and cod's lol, its long (obviously) so don't read it if you don't want to, so yeah just something to think about.** I hope they remaster Bo2 soon, Bo2 is such a nostalgic Cod (for me at least) and it would be nice to see it on future generations, (aka consoles) the map I loved the most was mob of the dead, hands down one of the best maps (please dont come at me for it as I said this is my opinion) known to Cod, the esthetic, the golden spork, the golden gate bridge, the lore, and just everything on the map is just magnificent. Brutus as a nice mini boss and the hell's retriever is a nice tactical aswell. Although Bo2 holds a place in my heart there is someone that is a little more better. That being Bo1 you cannot tell me the walking and running sounds in multiplayer aren't satisfying ngl I don't think any Cod could beat the sounds that Bo1 had. I loved moon it was one of my favorite map idk why it is so hated on the map isn't that bad. Although I played it like 5 times on my ps3 (this was long ago) I had no problems with it, I just thought it was a good map especially the Easter egg. I always loved ascension it was also one of my favorite maps along with moon, the only thing I didn't like about it was the fact it will always be black and white until you turn on the power but I digress. And it introduced Phd flopper (idk if I said it right I haven't seen the perk in awhile, and I think this was the map they introduced it in if not sorry 😅) very good for the ray gun bc of its high splash damage. Overall good map very enjoyable and has a fun way of getting pack. Onto Bo3 not as nostalgic as the others but still is nonetheless, the only maps I played were: shadows of evil, der eisendrache, (sorry if I spelled it wrong the name is confusing) and the giant. And all of them are my favorite ones, but if I had to choose one it would be der eisendrache because, the bows are challenging to get at the time but are really fun to get (I forgot what they were so I can't say which one is my fav) and are really worth it the panzer makes another return and this was the first map I got to a high round on. (like 32 rounds, I think it is high no?) That's really it, Bo4 zombies was OK at best, terrible mob of the dead remaster though. Iw was good, I liked the theme of them being in a film, still trying to beat the Easter egg for zombies in spaceland, I like the wonder weapons on the map. Its overall good (in my opinion). Didn't play WWII, only played cold war like 7 times but from the time I played it was good ngl the engine with zombies is smooth. That's really it, I know I missed some cod's but I just wanted to say this. There might be spelling errors and grammar error but I don't really feel like going back to fix it this thing is already long enough. Anyway yeah. Have a good day or night or whatever.

WaW should be here too. It doesn’t have an official theme, but I consider the main menu theme for WaW considering that it is still used in Zombies to this day and because it plays when you click on zombies in that game. It’s literally used as the round change jingle. It’s the best in my opinion.
