Even though the Skyline is sold to you as the "halo car" of the game, the RX-7 is definitely the best all-rounder. One of the best at drag as we can see here, acts like it's on rails on circuits/sprints and a great drifter as well. I remember one playthrough I was trying to complete the game in a 350Z. I got to the 4WD lap knockout race on Market Street with the 2 Eclipses & Impreza, and I simply could not win it in the 350Z. I traded it for an RX-7 and won it on the first attempt. The FD is simply the GOAT in this game.
Much like real life. The R34 Skyline is like a nimble Muscle Car from Japan (along with Supra, 3000 GT, Imprezza). They are not heavy like American V8 Muscle Cars, but they're still heavy even if they have V6s. It's one of the worst cars for twisty roads like Touge. Because there's just more real estate to lug around. That's why many 4 Cylinder cars dominated the Tuner scene. Cars like Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Various Civics, Integras, Mazda Miata, Mazdaspeeds etc. along with Rotary cars like FC & FD RX-7, RX-8 etc.
@@cxssetteman182 Impreza WRX is not in the same wheelhouse as the GT-R and Supra, it's shorter and lighter due to being based on a compact platform and not a big sports coupe (99' GC8 Version 6 especially weighed only 1270 kg, 10 kg less than the RX-7 Type RS). Granted, it also came less powerful from factory compared to the Lancer Evolution (the Evo 5/6 made 300+ bhp iirc whereas the WRX STi actually only had 276 bhp stock ala Japanese gentlemen's agreement; it was also negligibly shorter than the GC8 Ver. 6 by only 10 mm). But yes, touge (and by extension, rally; touge is essentially glorified tarmac rally) lend themselves better to vehicles with shorter wheelbases since narrower roads with lower average speeds aren't as forgiving to longer vehicles. An aside: This might explain Kozo Hoshino in Initial D; he briefly mentions his disdain for the R33 to the point he switched back to an R32 and then the R34 we see him race in. The R33 might be significantly quicker than the R32 in terms of circuit prowess (it famously ran a sub-8 minute time on the Nordschleife, 20 seconds quicker than the R32 thanks to the latter being front heavy), but it had a longer wheelbase which made it less nimble and worse in touge. EDIT: And no, this still doesn't make MF Ghost make any more sense.
20th: *AWD in last place!?* (In PSP it's even worse with better suspension) 19th: Samantha without Junkman? 18th: GP2 engine? Nope! FWD. 17th: We miss Peugeot in NFS series 16th: Couple of AWDs below P15 :( 15th: Melissa has a car with last place in RWD 14th: Integra 2.0 13th: See you around in Prostreet 12th: Power of german L4 11th: Paul Walker didn't made it to Q3 10th: Sport Sedan? 9th: Not bad, just lacks of power. 8th: *First and only tuner from Dodge* 7th: *Is that Jack Aitken!?* 6th: Maybe Eddie? 5th: *It is! It's normal Lancer!* 4th: Ryan Cooper back in Olympic City 3rd: *"Now we can fight!"* Said Gasly. 2nd: *King of the Olympic City* 1st: *Power of the 2JZ!!*
The Supra and the Integra are pretty much the opposites in circuit and drag racing. While the Supra is a superior drag racing car it's absolute shite in circuit racing thanks to its low downforce, meanwhile the Integra is a top notch circuit car, but it's greatly hindered in drag racing by having the lowest top speed of all cars.
When not fully upgraded Eclipse is indeed superior. I tried using Lancer alone to beat the career but there were occasions where you need luck / dirty overtake to beat eclipse. On some drag races Lancer is almost impossible to win as a normal run can blow the engine.
The Supra just seems to be the car that all the devs working on NFS games have loved the most out of all tuners, behind the Skyline GT-R or RX-7. - In Carbon, it had the highest Top Speed & Acceleration out of all Tuners and still handled like a dream Vs. the RX-7, Skyline, and Impreza. The only car that really gave it stiff competition in its Tier & Class was the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX MRE due to it handling better and basically being an easy win button in every BUT Drifting Events. - UG1&2, it was a Top Tier car all around but felt like more of a muscle car Vs. all other cars NOT the Neon (love the Neon btw) - in the original Most Wanted, it was basically in the Top 5 (or 3, depending on if you consider the Lotus & others like it a “Tuner”) and handled pretty great. I’ve beaten the game with it and the Lotus Elise, so I know pretty well that Black Box LOVED this car to death. - unfortunately, Ghost Games couldn’t use any Toyota cars in Heat but if they could…it would be just as great as it was in NFS 2015. I’m not surprised it’s the best
@@hubertswiercz1044 In my opinion, based on the games i've played: • Need For Speed: UNDERGROUND → dogshit • Need For Speed: UNDERGROUND 2 → still dogshit but different • Need For Speed: Most Wanted → good • Need For Speed: Carbon → great
Have we played the same games? Because the Supra in Underground 1, Underground 2 and Most Wanted was miles away from being a top car in its game. While it handles like a boat in the Underground games and therefore its power isn't of much use other than in drag racing, in Most Wanted it does handle better but it massively lacks power compared to other cars. Even starter cars like the Golf GTI and the Cobalt SS make short work of it
NIce List, but this only applies to level 3 upgrades and no NOS and no uniques usage. if you change suspension to level 1 on a few cars, they have a better start and beat the supra (RX-7 for example). Supra also benefits from level 1 suspension, though. Now if you add NOS (no uniques added yet) the S2000 is better than the supra and RX-7 in this category. If you go for NOS and uniques, the RX-7 is unbeatable with Turbo/Transmission/NOS (you can use Engine or ECU as well instead of Turbo). RX-7 wins by a tiny amount in the no NOS and no Uniques category against Supra, but lets be honest here, no one plays the career without NOS, so RX7/S2000 will always win. Hope you can try this out in your next video :)
Kind of a useless test, nobody in their right mind would drive without nitro, and there's different strats for using it on different cars (some you might wanna jump through the first few gears if they're long, or keep it to rocket on the higher ones.
While I wouldn't say click bait as I did show you the fastest cars, yes, the no NOS thingy was a mistake. That's why I made this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-muEll-qC4S0.html
Fat booty 350 in drag in my opinion is best street car. Also like how they used cars that are cars you see often more affordable rather than Lamborghini or Ferraris. Civic was my street race car because of handling
