I can, because Romans and Greeks are not the same. Centurion is a Roman. Spartans were Romanized, meaning they were assimilated into Roman culture, but they were nothing more than a tourist attraction for Romans by the time Rome decimated Sparta's forces. Even by then, Sparta was a shadow of it's former self and pure Spartiates were few and far between. So after the Romans came to Greece, Sparta *did* try to fight but they were basically wiped out and whatever was left was seized by Rome and essentially destroyed, leaving Spartan citizens no choice but to become Romans themselves, in every sense. Difference being they were likely treated poorly. Considering Sparta didn't use actual money and instead traded valuable materials, it's likely Romans saw them as barbaric. So if you think about it, Centurion putting on a Spartan helmet would actually be like him spitting on the Emperor. And it doesn't matter if you spit on Nero, or on Augustus, spitting on a Roman Emperor is a *really* bad decision.
