Keeping tilts and just giving everyone a new jutsu for a 2nd one would have been dope and I probably would bought this day one just for the fact that all the characters would have somewhat felt fresh to play, they had 7 years to do this..

No new movest for the main characters even thou they are unable to do move sets for all 130 characters atleast 50- 60 characters should get new move sets and combos like itachi,madara all forms of teen sasuke and Naruto,might guy,kakashi,pain,hashi etc
I’m not necessarily opposed to some tilts getting promoted to jutsus, but when the characters had perfectly good secondary jutsus already (such as everyone who was playable in Storm 1) it confuses and disappoints me when they decide on tilts for them instead. And then some tilts that could’ve made good jutsu, like Itachi’s crow transformation, got cut in favor of more generic jutsu. Not to mention, giving Kakashi Fireball Jutsu, something he only used in filler, instead of Water Dragon or Hound Summoning is a really weird choice.
@@DefinitelyNotHidan Kisame’s second jutsu isn’t a filler move, it was in the manga. I actually think it was one of the more clever ways they incorporated a new jutsu using old assets (being just the starting part of his Storm 2 Ultimate Jutsu)
They could’ve just left tilts and added second jutusu shiit is not that hard! Cc2 gotta be messing with cause it’s not even funny they just fucked up the game even more
Even worst is that those cut jutsus could still had been adapted as Awakening Actions, almost all Storm 1 cast is lacking anything in their Awakenings.
This was such a letdown. When they announced they were going to add secondary jutsu I genuinely got excited, because I thought that many characters whose playstyles didn’t match their abilities in the manga and anime, would finally get upgrades to make their style more accurate to their character and instead, they just removed tilt..
Completely understandable like I thought I was tempering my expectations heavy with this game but now that it's essentially out even for DLC or some things I still hope things are simple just Bring Back Lars, Have the Unique Characters show up as DLC or Free DLC and maybe add a story or situation for them if you have them as DLC or make one of them the only way to play see that's why I think like Free DLC would be better because then you get taunted but maybe that's what they want and add Sakumo and Urashiki but even that's unlikely and buffing or changing some things about characters feels unlikely it's like they just copied the homework of the other games, changed it up a bit after collecting the most they "could" and then dipped. Like even Smash Ultimate did a way better job of "EVERYONE IS HERE" They didn't even do that because Lars isn't here and neither are the Support Only Characters which I would be fine with some of them coming back as support only as long as we got one like Anko or Shizune upgraded to a Character. Heck some of them a lot could be upgraded to characters as long as they only cared about their Jutsu and UJ and Awakening maybe a bit by having them have derivative moves from other characters.
@@zelz3011 for Jiraiyah and Choji to still be as slow as they are, for Kushina to still fight with fucking silverware, for all of Ino’s attacks to be flower-based, (and I could literally keep going), when this is a new game with brand new mechanics added is pure laziness. Not even new ultimates? Not even team ultimates for ALL of the boruto era families? This is shit we shouldn’t have to ask for
Like most have said here already, I was disappointed that they took out the tilt move in favor of the new jutsu. I think CC2 missed an opportunity to give characters new tilt moves. It’s fine that they gave everyone an extra jutsu, they just should have went the extra mile and also gave everyone a new tilt AS WELL. One thing I noticed they changed with Tobirama, they added the flying raijin to his grab. I thought that was dope. He didn’t have enough moves utilizing it, and it’s his technique lol.
I'm still trying to find a good excuse to remove tilt in favor of a second jutsu, because they could perfectly work together. The only reason that I find to this change is the lack of creativity to give them a second jutsu, so they removed the tilt because it could be used by the majority of the roster.
@@sergio_oshonestly, if you just follow pro players, many didn't know about tilt moves. I sure as hell didn't know about it until I was just going through the "combos" list and can never pull off the truth seeker orb kick. Had to look online and found out about tilt moves.
i never liked tilt moves and i found it hard to use them while in the middle of a game, besides that they do little to no damage, you could argue you could use some combos with some tilt moves but really not worth it, and now you can still use them as jutsus and still combo with them and they do a lot of damage and also easier to use
@@JasonRogue well, I'm not a pro player, but I was quite used to them. Some are good to link, others a bit harder. But we could differentiate the gameplay because of that. Some had offensive tilts (Itachi, Madara, Nagato/Pain), some had stun tilts, some had defensive tilts (War fan Madara), some had support tilts (Minato marks his enemies with Hiraishin seal so when he dashes, he instantly appeared in front of them). We could do a lot of things with them. When using itachi, in which all UJ are short / mid-short range, you could use his tilt, the crows, to get closer and right after link with any of his UJ. When someone dashes into you, Madara's War fan could deflect them. Naruto's shadow clone would annoy any of your enemies. And my point is, they could add a second jutsu perfectly without removing tilt. The imputs are different and the usage too.
@@sergio_os Madara using his gunbai to perform the “Uchiha reflection” attack was peak. It was by far my favorite tilt, I got so good at using it in online matches. Plus I like the gunbai fan, hope Sarada gets one somehow lol. Side note, is anyone having any luck finding matches online ? I have yet to find one.
The Tilt had a strategic aspect. Some of them were not made for a damage purpose, but for space management, or defense phases. They should have created REAL new second jutsu, and kept tilt as it was. Or change tilts as jutsu, but stil create new tits for the strategic aspect. Anyway strategy has kinda disappeared in this Game, since chakra bar regenerate 10 times faster: Road to Jutsu Spamming
Yes, many characters' "second jutsu" are just their old tilts. Not the case for all the characters though. Ay gets to use both Lariat and Guillotine Drop, and Bee gets to use both Rising Bomber and Biju Bomb. Both really awesome. And finally getting to use BOTH Fire Ball AND Chidori when playing as Sasuke, instead of having to pick one or the other, has me very happy indeed.

Most characters already had two jutsus to choose from. There was zero reason to remove tilts other than not wanting to give an extra jutsu to those who didn't have one already.
They did the same with the 4th combo, which used to be present until Storm 3. I think even at this point they've removed more combos from exiting Characters (Gen had 72) than they've added new Characters (Connections has 131 in the base game, that should be 59 new ones) added since then.

@@JK-xw5rn not really, tilts in general were a weird input to do mid battle since it made you stop moving and was easy to get interrupted. Now it's really smooth and flows better.

I know a lot of these were indeed letdowns, but I can’t deny, So6PM Naruto getting more Rasen-Shurikens to his Jutsu’s is actually super dope and fits really well. I also think it made him a better character to play as overall. I enjoy using him. A lot of characters did get a decent upgrade with the 2nd Jutsu and it not being their old tilt (salty that Kurama Link Naruto lost his tilt though, shit was awesome). Positives and Negatives to go around. I’m gonna stay optimistic long term, I think it’ll be okay.

Don't you know that Storm is like a representation of playing with Fire which is dumb in a normal fight because why the hell would you use all your stamina for a BULLSHIT Move or a lot of it when it could literally just fail or miss? Like Sasuke can make double Kirin + Planetary he uses techinques that should cost way more than that constantly in fights even when he's nerfed. Storm battles under most conditions are assuming both characters are fully healed fully ready to fight in some What-if style where no one is nerfed. The only Kara Member who might not be able to do their ult that they may have gassed the fuck up on them is Boro. Like Bro punching and making a huge explosion but then it brings into question how much of that explosion is powerful and how much of it is for show?

I will never forget the day they took away the "side" analog combos on generations, now the tilts... Pretty disappointed after all those years and they keep taking things away
Thats some improvement i guess I hated having to always switch between jutsus in the pre fight screen Chakra blade were useless (like literally) And tilts were always impractical in online fights except for range charaters Im still annoyed that they literally reworked every version of naruto and sasuke like that was so unnecessary And they did nothing for the others

Some characters were done so dirty, Ino "second jutsu" its just the same but extra, she has literally the same jutsu twice, Sai "new justu" are his chakra shurikens from before, etc. Also all pts characters had 2 jutsu already from storm 1, why not use some of them instead
making tilts that where hard to pull and not very practicall to use on a real combat was a good idea, but on the other side that limits the chance to have another jutsu because finally developers put two basic attacks on the game and some tilts were good
In his Ulti he does, which looks stupid and I am still waiting for a Naruto Storm game to add back his old, much better looking ulti with the sea of snakes.
I understand the logic of having one close range ninjutsu to cover broad area and push back the enemy (shinra tensey) or when you need to reach a target and hit it to make more damge (rasengan) + 2nd distant range ninjutsu (fireball or water dragon) BUT I do not understand d of having one character same type of ninjutsu like conan?? 1st jutsu is long range and 2nd one long range? What is the purpose? just to have different visual of the same attack? does not make sense
feels like some characters got nerfed and some got better. such as tsunade, jiraiya, hanabi, naruto the last. And nerfed like pts naruto, rock lee, neji, minato, itachi... I loved that some characters could chain their tilt into combos, now it looks like you can't anymore
They can, now with this game you have access to do a lot more combos than on 4, using jutsus, then combo, the another jutsu, and that goes on and on, so you can easier than before without any problem
I don’t understand why people made at the game just like generation and revolution. It supposed to be centered around the gameplay/online aspect of the storm series.
@VelvetAura War Sai should have gotten two new jutsu. The two gods and paper bomb birds. The tiger seal for his ultimate. Anbu Sai should have gotten the ink eagles as the second jutsu not his ninja tool.
Bro forgot to add the air rasengan barrage for sage mode naruto and the other narutos before naruto in the boruto era dude even forgot to add the rasengans when you hold them.
No, however most of the "second jutsus" in this game could be done in other games without being a jutsu in itself. example: Pain, universal pull was not a jutsu but the act of moving the Left analog stick to the side and press "Ball" or "B"

If they could not be bothered goving them an actual second jutsu, keep the damn tilt but on a higher cooldown with no chakra cost. This was some low effort meaningless change that outright made many new units messy op and old units worse ... with a damn chakra cost for their mediocre "second jutsu" Like the new swap technique from sasuke which is abused immensely now... if it was a tilt on a high cooldown not able to be used by support as well it would be balanced, who is behind such awful decisions on their dev team ...
Ngl though, Sasuke getting phoenix flower jutsu in a console game is LONG overdue. I think the only games he actually has it in are Ninja Council 1, the Clash of Ninja series, and Naruto Ninja Chronicles 1 and 2

The whole point of Tobi's jutsu being him going underground is that it's a MINEFIELD, why put the bombs above the ground??? Also the most important quality that the amaterasu flame has is that if it connected it was supposed to be INEXTINGUISHABLE... I SWEAR IS LIKE THIS PEOPLE DIDINT EVEN WATCH THE ANIME OR READ THE MANGA
Bro this is a game 😭 and it’s in practice mode so recovery is quick. Bombs above the ground so that after the 1st hit, the other player has a chance to avoid them. Also bro it’s a game their not gonna have amaterasu burning the entire match 😭 and reminder this is practice mode so recovery is much quicker to things
i was so hyped when they announced a new storm, I thought they will rework alot when i heared everyone has 2 jutsus now, but what we got was just everyone having their tilt as 2nd jutsu, they didn´t change anything, some old kits are so outdated and boring especially all the storm 2 ultimates. Such a dissappointment i wait for all dlc to release and buy it on sale
