if you know touhou characters, you can pretty easily distinguish each character by their silhouette. its pretty great how unique each design is

Being colorblind doesn't mean you can't see colors. It means you can't different iate between ceryain colors. e.g for some people, red and green look similar.

Reimu's always been the star of the show since the beginning, but I was surprised the first I discovered that Marisa didn't appear in the first Touhou game!

Same luna nights is my first touhou game and not to mention I listened to this song alot before hand only to realize it was touhou because I recognized Sakuya, and Marisa

The first three Touhou games were all pretty experimental, with 1 being a breakout-type game (bouncing ball into bricks, that type of thing), 2 being the first bullet hell (like every following _main_ game), and 3 being a side-by-side 2-player bullet hell (like only 9 and soon to be 19). It wasn't until Touhou 4, _Touhou Gensoukyou ~ Lotus Land Story_ that things really got set in place. Even still only 4 characters introduced in the PC-98 era (TH1-TH5) have ever made an appearance in the Windows eras, and all 4 are found here in this video. Reimu Hakurei, the OG main character, Marisa Kirisame, the human magician, Yuuka Kazami, Alice Margatroid. Of the four, Yuuka changed the least. The only obvious difference between her final boss appearance in TH4 and her appearance in TH9 is that her hair is shorter, other than that she's virtually unchanged. Marisa's color scheme was originally purple (now black) and Reimu had purple hair and a more traditional miko's outfit (now very dark hair, and less traditional outfit). Alice, evidently changed a fair bit, but I can't remember what exactly off the top of my head right now.

@@NightFuryis11Official Outside of the color scheme, Alice's outfit is almost entirely different, for instance she lost her big hair bow. She does however keep her book.

Koishi is in the extended animation only shown at 3 official concerts, Idk the first, animelo summer live 2010, and some version of niconicochoparty The extended animation wasn't released so only recreations are left

Most people wouldn’t know that this is touhou if they do that because most people now are fans of the modern era and probably didn’t know that PC 98 existed
