Echo's Act 2 Works into Act 3 because the theme of the stand carries with it: Act 1: Sound of your words Act 2: Meaning of your words Act 3: Weight of your words
The abilities of Koichi’s Echoes are based on the facets of communication: ACT 1: The resonance of your words ACT 2: The meaning of your words ACT 3: The weight of your words
It's still dumb that it changes from little variety. Just different sounds. To a lot of variety. All sound effects you can think of. To finally no variety. Just heavy gravity.
Kinoko is probably the scariest student. The only thing stopping her killing people with her quirk by sprouting mushrooms in their lungs is she feels it goes against her cute aesthetic.
Monoma might seem annoying whenever he's with class 1-A....which is everytime we see him in the story, but he's genuinely supportive of his teammates and has an interesting quirk to boot
But if you watch one of Season 5’s episodes, he copies Eri’s Quirk, and acts super calm. His crazy attitude is just his main tactic as a hero, to catch his opponents off guard.
@@novaprime8918 you do know there cop's have guns right it's not stated in the main series but cop's can use lethal force we know they do have executions heroes can use their quirks but they can't kill cops can't use their quirks but can put a bullet in your skull.
The cool thing about Vantablack is that it absorbs like 99% of light and doesn't re-emit it, it looks like someone went into photoshop and drew a black blob on the photo
I won't lie I kinda wanna paint myself in vantablack and see what happens it feels different enough to black face to not be racially offensive cause its just a whole different breed
One thing I love about this series is the unique creativity about the quirks and Class 1-B probably has some of the most fun looking quirks we’ve seen in the story
Great video! I do enjoy Class 1-B just as much as 1-A. I hope Horikoshi gives us more of them in either their own manga series, their own volume in the novel series, or heck a small arc in the anime series. I have to say my favorite 1-B student has to be Setsuna Tokage, but Kendo, Monoma, Tetsutetsu, Reiko, and Kinoko are a close second. HORIKOSHI GIVES US MORE OF THEM, PLEASE!!! lol
Just because Tekking kinda undersold Vantablack here: Vantablack is literally one of the darkest things we have on Earth. It's not just some "really black paint", it's a structure specifically engineered to be as dark as we can make it. It's a scientific marvel akin to that lighter-than-air gel.
@@siduxjxhdgzhdjxhxuuxxyhgg1079 that’s like saying Aerogel is just very light gel; it’s such an over simplification that it essentially become incorrect
Shoda's quirk is even more impressive than you thought. It's not doubled that the power gets, it's "many times over". x3, x4, we don't know how strong this man's quirk could get. He might be able to tap you on the shoulder, activate his quirk and send you to the moon 😂
Yui's costume is based on Ultraman, because they change size I guess. Shemage is a pun on Shimeji, a kind of mushroom. btw Kinoko is literally mushroom. Plamo means plastic model, Bondo builds them with his own glue. Might as well talk about all their names, just the parts that I think are relevant, some are literal some are puns. Awase Yosetsu: Combine Weld Kaibara Sen: Spin Rotate Kamakiri Togaru: Mantis Sharp Kuroiro Shihai: Black color Dominate Kendo Itsuka: Fist, maybe TaeKwonDo or JeetKuneDo too Kodai Yui: Small big Komori Kinoko: Little forest Mushroom Shiozaki Ibara: Thorn, there's the Shiogasaki town in Ibaraki prefecture if that matters Shishida Jurota: Lion/boar Beast boy Shoda Nirengeki: Palm strike Double hit Tsunotori Pony: Takes horn (it means to round off corners, or mellow out) Tsuburaba Kosei: Circular field Solidify Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu: Iron......... Tokage Setsuna: Lizard Cut (from JiSetsu, Self Cut, autotomy) Fukidashi Manga: Speech bubble Comic Honenuki Juzo: Debone Soft sculpt Bondo Kojiro: Bond/glue Harden Monoma Neito: Mimic Yanagi Reiko: Willow Spirit (willow trees are haunted, see Yanagi Onna) Rin Hiryu: Scale Flying dragon
Did you see the episode, at that moment before Sen was captured by Tenya, the animation made Sen's arm an entire drill and Ojiro falling on it. Had it not been for Tenya, Ojiro would've been killed.
I think it was animated more extrem than it really was. He probably would have drilled into his back and the vibrations on his spine would have immobilized for a few hours. But the drills weren’t obviously sharp enough to drill through skin. He hit Ojiro a couple of times and he didn’t bled at all. He was just ruffed up a lot.
Am I like the only one who likes softening? Like juzo basically gets full control over the environment with that one and really had class 1-A dead to rights the first half
Vanta Black, Welder, Shemage, Rule, and Mudman all have better/more interesting Quirks than a few of the 1-A class members. Shinso too, of course, but he's not technically (or yet perhaps) in the Hero Course because the entrance exam is broken.
@@kobiiscoolerthanyou7877 Yes. I know that 1-B isn't supposed to be weaker and is just a different class. My point is just that I would have preferred the story to focus more on some of the 1-B characters and their Quirks than some in 1-A. It would have been more fun to have Vanta Black or Mudman as a character in 1-A that gets a lot of screen time compared to, say, Koda, Sato, or Hagakure.
@@CitroChannel Like imagine Mudman or Lizardy if they could of done something in the camp arc when the League of Villains attacked. Could of been a little bit more interesting if we had the both of them spying on the league of villains and relaying what's going on. Maybe a proper fight with Dabi or Mr. Compress.
I finally understand how Koichi’s stand progression. Alright so Act 1 is getting your words to be heard. Act 2 is giving your words meaning. Finally Act 3 is giving your words weight. Why the hell did I only come to understand this in an MHA video.
Just thought of something. We are mostly told that quirks are apart of every day life in my hero and yet we never really see it. The main quirks we see are heros and villains, with the exception of a civy being lazy. They also say that unless you have a license you can't use your quirk, main reason we see the heros; but hero work is the only job were you can get the license. Ochaco even said she was originally getting a HERO license to use her quirk for CONSTRUCTION work, there is no work quirk license. Many of these quirks like weld would make bank in trades, getting the work done faster easier and with less costly mistakes. But once again you have to get a hero license. If Yosetsu wanted to use his quirk to be a normal welder, and make even more bank then they already do, he would still have to learn how to fight villains and save people even though that is not what he would be doing. Your thoughts or actually anyone's thoughts.
@@griffingower1883 No, those characters and their logos are copyrighted, having a character with a similar name is fine, especially if they don't share it with a real person, nor too many points of similarity to another person's work.
@@dm_dude That one is more tricky, because Vantablack as a substance was created and patented. That's closer to using a person's proper name rather than a generic fusion of words.
Im actually genuinely curious as to how it would be better than buggys. Unlike setsuna buggy doesn't seem to have a limit to how much he can split himself. Setsunas advantage is only that her feet doesn't need to be on the ground. Other than that I think its just setsuna uses her powers better cause buggys kind of an idiot.
im surprised you forgot to compare tokage's ability to buggy's from one piece, i mean she can literally split herself and manipulate each piece also shoda's quirk kinda reminds me of yuji's divergert fist from jujutsu kaisen
I think Manga’s ability is a bit more similar to the “In a Silent Way” stand from Jojo part 7, than “Echoes Act 2”. Because manga has to produce the sound of the effects he wants (like he has to say POW, CRASH etc.). (All three abilities I mentioned are very similar by the way)
Mushroom girl is the most terrifying character in her class ( you can’t really protect the inside of your lungs) ( grew them inside of tokoyami’s lungs) All for one and all might may be in trouble with her if they didn’t know what she could do
Facts. No one could survive toxic mushrooms all in their body. Kinoko is super scary and the fact that she's willing to take things too far sometimes is even more frightening.
@@gamecollectingaddiction4670 I thought he would tag along with deku cuz his quick is the only that could make it possible to speak to the one for all users but now he can just do it whenever
Question for people, if you were to be a hero in MHA, what quirk would you want to have and what would your hero name be? I would choose to be able to absorb any impact (bludgeoning, chopping, piercing, anything that relies on existing momentum) and then release it on command. You have to manually activate it but it is reflexive like throwing out a hand to break a fall. Hero name would be something along the lines of 'Siege'
I want the power to pretty much eat everything and anything no matter how solid or harmful it was and transform to what I eat but the weakness is I need to eat as much as I weigh in order to fully transform for example I weigh 59 kilogrammes last time I checked so I need to eat like 59 kilogrammes of metal or diamond to fully transform my whole body. And my hero name would be "KING BITER"
I would want the ability to switch anything's place, like switching me with a villain so they get hit by their own attacks, or teleport by switching me with the air of a different place. If I really wanted to, I could also switch parts of people away, or switch something in their body with something else, so I could put medicine in someone's bloodstream, etc, etc. A weakness of this is I have to know about the places that I switch, and I have a limited range sphere around me of up to 10 miles. So if I switch away to a place I don't know, I would have to look around and see my surroundings to switch things in that area. I don't need to understand it super well like Momo, but I have to know about it. With training I could increase my accuracy and the range.
I would like to have a quirk could work like juggernaut from x men of some kind. Probably like a golem, strong like muscular and fast as a pro football player and nigh invincible. But with only one weakness being, that golem's have a mark of sorts on the back of the neck like AOT If the are pressed the golem stops all mouvement.
@@TesoroZephyr lmfao well then you’ve been beaten by your own argument kid; The Wiki is routinely checked and update in line with not just reveals in the mangas but also the hero guidebooks. All of the characters names or the kanji used in their spellings, are puns
kinoko stood out to me as the most broken character when I first read the chapter after it released she can just make mushrooms in people's mouth and suffocate without even trying, like damn
I honestly appreciate how much work you do for your vids make me respect the longer vids cause it was for us and you spent maybe hours doing just one vid
When you mentioned villains with the students quirks, that happened in the manga. When Toga turned into Uraraka and was able to use her quirk, she made someone from the Meta Liberation army float into the air and dropped her.
The thing I like about Nirengeki is appearantly he's also a boxer in his spare time. So that guy knows how to throw a punch. Magnifying it with Twin Impact would probably even wear out people like TetsuTetsu and Kirishima eventually.
We know She Mage can create mushrooms inside other people (she popped one up on the inside of Tokoyamis throat). If she can make a poisonous mushroom just appear in someone’s stomach that’s pretty OP.
As a machinist who works with drills they are super fragile. If they come in from even a slightly wrong angle, speed or rpm. That drill is gonna break or burn up
Fun fact: I share the birth month of September with Ibara Shiozaki, Itsuka Kendo, and Momo Yaoyorozu. Shiozaki's birthday is on the 8th, Yaoyorozu's birthday is on the 23rd, Kendo's birthday is on the 9th, and mine is on the 14th
9:60 One fun property of vantablack and other ultra black paints like it is that it completely eliminates textures. We see textures because of tiny shadows cast but because vantablack is so black it won't allow any shadows. So a crumpled up piece of foil covered in vantablack looks completely smooth.
Spoilers for the latest season Twin impact doesnt just double the impact, it puts a second impact that is stronger that he can activate after the first one, and he doesn't have to activate it immediately. This is shown when Monoma copied his power and activated the second impact on Izuku after Monoma has been caught. For example, he punches the wall. Then after 5 minutes, he activates his Twin Impact, and a second impact will hit the wall even harder than the first one. And for Lizardy, in the anime it has been shown that it takes a toll on her to regenerate all her parts, so she sometimes brings them back. That is a part of how Bakugo's team managed to catch her, through taping a flashbang grenade onto one of her parts, and when she brought it back, it flash banged her and Bakugo then caught her with his explosion.
Buggy isn't limited to how many pieces he can break up into I think, he's also alot more durable than average humans sure he's weak by the standards of characters like Luffy, but remember he was strong enough to survive on Rogers ship for year's, and he survived in Impale Down for a year, if you as a person fought against buggy you'd probably have a hard time without fighting dirty (aiming for the family jewels, the eyes, biting, etc.), And he's a pirate, he's not trying to just knock you out, if he knows you're a threat and aren't a potential ally or the consequences for killing you aren't very major (like Ace would of one shot him but if he even tried to hurt him he would of had white beard to answer to who is someone Buggy fears and respects almost as much as Roger), he's just gonna kill you, guys got grenades and knives all over him for defence, and you'd have to get near him to fight him, he's surrounded himself with some very tough customers because he knows alone he's not a great fighter, and on the Grand Line there's safety in numbers
Tekken I don't think you might not have known this about Gevaudan, but his back fire in the manga stays that after a certain time he's in his beast mode, he gets into a high like state.
I'm surprised you didn't compare Jack Mantis to Jack the ripper from black clover. Both named jack, relating to mantis', having blade abilities, they're nearly the same.
Okay, I'm about eight students in, and does anyone else get the feeling like all this power would make for any excellent clash against 1-A but beyond a training fight?
I recommend reading Hero Class Civil Warfare on ao3 along with its spinoffs and sequel if you want to see just how villainous some of class 1A and class 1B can be and what their quirks can do.
I believe Ibara was actually the 8th Class B quirk we ever see on screen. lol. 1 - Steel first appeared on the very start of the race. Got a Present Mic introduction. 2 - Scales was a few seconds after Steel. No Mic introduction. Then on the cavalry battle we got: 3 - Softening is the first attack on the whole cavalry battle. No Mic introduction. 4 - Big Fist is seen being used whenever Kendo is shown on the cavalry battle. No introduction. 5 - Copy, Monoma against Bakugo on the cavalry. Got an introduction. 6 - Cemendine, Bondo uses this when Bakugo is getting nervous with Monoma (Mina uses her acid to free Kirishima's leg from it). No introduction. 7 - Solid Air, used against Bakugo. Get's introduction. And then, even before the 3rd stage of the sports festival (the battles) begin, right after the end of the Cavalry battle, we get a small flashback of Team Tetsutetu showing Shiozaki stealing Mineta's headband with Vine. One could argue that Shishida was using Beast mode during the entire cavalry battle as he was always on all fours and that his quirk being Mutant is already it being used, but maybe that's stretch lol.
Great video! You pronounced «gévaudan» pretty well actually, but the «au» sound is prononced more like the vowel sound in «though» It is a difficult word to pronounce, I do not mean to judge at all, just to answer your question ;) thanks for the great content!
Note for Juzo (Mudman), his quirk’s actual ability is to manipulate consistency/viscosity, he’s shown, as you said, manipulating inanimate matter to have the consistency of play dough, but then he’s also shown creating a much more liquid consistency so he can swim through it. He can then also obviously harden whatever he has softened back to its original consistency. Based on the quirk’s name I’d guess he cannot harden something that is already soft, rather he can only make it softer. If he could do this though, it would make his quirk quite a bit stronger, although based on the name ‘soften’ alone, I doubt it. Additionally, he’s been shown to be able to control where his softening spreads to; in the sports festival he creates a line of softening in front of him from his foot, and in the 1-A V 1-B fight he does so beneath him and then in front of him as he swims through the ground.
I could see Yosetsu Asawe and Sen Kaibara as a hero duo. The Welder and the Driller. Asawe could weld stuff on Kaibara and Kaibara could possibly spin the welded stuff individually.
Hiryu Rin's quirk Dragon Shroud is easily my favorite quirk. Because it's like Kirishima's quirk but with a twist. It's both a short-range and long-range quirk. That and also my favorite color is green so yeah.
