I don't like that you need to unlock like 80% of the hairstyles. I mean, come on... Minecraft's character customization on Bedrock Edition lets you use a bunch of eye styles, head hair styles, or facial hair styles without needing to play online or do some unlocking. Sure there are ones that need purchases or unlocking via achievements and you can't really use them without an account, but most of them are like "clothes" and not body parts, with exception to arm, leg and skin types. And I don't really get Miis being outdated. Sure the artstyle looks aged, but they're still very customizable without any need of online requirements or unlocking. Online unlockables are something that I wouldn't really like because it makes the offline experience lacking in content and unplayable when the servers shut down, because then there's nothing to unlock and looks like it's almost going to be built as lost media for future generations. Edit: I heard that the unlockables randomly unlock in a rate of 2 per week for players that can't or won't play online multiplayer, but still... the game is still more functional under the temporary service, making it fail as a game that will last for ages to come. Adding in content later on with free content updates really worsens the launch version of a game if it's kind of content that feels like it really lacked from the game like in terms of the previous title of the franchise having it on launch but the latest one not, which also makes me wish for rereleases of Nintendo's games on Switch on like the late years of the Switch with all of the patches and DLC (for most of them) with examples of like Super Mario Odyssey Luigi Edition (yeah I know that the Balloon hunt was an extra feature using online functions, but the costumes that were unused at launch would sorta benefit with a rerelease), Animal Crossing New Horizons + Happy Home Paradise (I really think this an example I really would wish for due to how I actually enjoyed it since December 2020, and yes it's launch version was underwhelming even with the frequent content updates until February, and the game would be less forgotten if the post launch content is available for future generations), Nintendo Switch Sports Second Edition (I still don't like the "service" model, but still it's going to be different compared to the launch), Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Boosted (get it? the Booster Course Pass?),
@@Smickims The last one’s a bit far fetched but the expansion pack includes mostly dlc from games, the Octo Expansion for Splatoon 2 is $19.99, Mk8 DLC is $24.99 and Animal Crossing Happy Home Paradise is $24.99, now with Switch Sports it’s $39.99 digital not $49.99 because the digital version doesn’t come with the leg strap, you’d have to buy one. It’d be a cool idea though, and it would convince people to think the expansion pack is more worth it and it’ll justify the price.
I really hope that they will release a free roam update in the near future. I feel like it would give Spocco square more purpose than solely being a visual. I would love to walk around and have tours. I mean with all the tourist tips I get in the game, shouldn’t we be able to see them for ourselves? I would love to ride the shuttle around and walk into the actual buildings and meet people. Would definitely get more people to buy because it’s a bit more then just sports. Sorta like splatoon.
I am so glad that gender isn’t an option in this game, having all clothing options available no matter who you are is incredible. Will definitely use some of these outfits when they release.
They could easily just let you wear whatever you want regardless. Animal crossing has always done that. You don't have to remove options to add new ones.
I still wish that the collections weren’t so limited. I would much rather as soon as they first add a new collection each week, just leave it there for others who got the game later to still unlock the items anytime they like. Plus this shouldn’t have been a Switch Online exclusive. What happens if they can’t afford to pay for online? You can only get 2 items each week if you don’t have Switch Online and you can only get them from the latest collection.
@I'm scared the only best way for people that have hacked their switch is that they can just import a save data that has everything unlocked, even from collections that aren't officially revealed yet
Awww so you can only customize the outfits for the new body types? I’ve seen you can use glasses for the squirrel but what about the others? I really hope this isn’t the case 😞
@@tgreg9542 They don't let you put a hat on the squirrel furry for no reason even though that doesn't make any sense. If anything the glasses should be what they can't wear because no human ears.
so I just bought the game a few days ago and my daughter and I unlocked every cosmetic/emote on the catalog expiring soon, but I unlocked a female set of cosmetics, while my daughter can only unlock a male version of them, but in your video I see that you have both male and female. does anyone know how you can unlock both? I thought completing the catalog would unlock both, but it didn’t.
