I feel like I can hear english words from him at times but I can never decipher what it is, but I feel at the ending one he was saying "proceed to victory" but cant tell what the rest says. I really like his zombie language, and I'm happy he is and sounds expressive in gw2, adds more personality :]
I think it's straight up gibberish. Lore wise, I think Zomboss can speak English - given that he can speak in the comics and in the Boss Mode trailer. I think the reason why he spoke in the trailer was because of the translator on his chest.
@Samuel152 Yeah thats true, but what confuses me is that he doesnt need the translator in the comics to speak English, but its still cool nonetheless (maybe the trailer was just him learning English overtime and then was able to speak it without the translator?)
@@Enderwaveslay Maybe. But I think the real reason why he speaks gibberish in the games is to avoid them having to hire multiple voice actors to speak the game's dialogue in different languages.
The voice of Zomboss, Jeremy Vanhoozer, prerviously worked in the art department for Veggietales. I suppose he put "worked with animate vegetables" on his resume.

Contrary to some belief, Dr. Zomboss is not voiced by Dan Povenmire who voice Dr. Doofenshmirtz. In fact, Dan Povenmire is not even involved in the making of this game in any way but PVZ devs do make a references of him in the game like some of Dr. Zomboss invention have the word "inator" in its name
