It's truely about their chemistry/synergy 😁 I.e. you could take Julias vamping joke buildup in any setting and it would already be ammusing. But the fact that Jacob just sits there going "I'm not going to bail you out of this one... you started this and I will sit here with you until we get to the joke or until the heat death of the univers! Whatever happens first..." that makes it truely funny imo 😄
I'm starting to suspect that Julia's sense of humor might've arrived from her deafness most her early life because every joke whittles down to her mishearing and loosely word associating some unhinged logic together to bridge the gap between what was misheard and what was said. That being said, no notes, no changes, it's perfect, we need more.
Not only do I have an Elden Ring, but I also have an Elden Necklace, an Elden Bracelet… all sorts of Elden Jewelry. I’ve got that Elden Bling™ (Just thought I’d throw my hat into the Elden Ring)
3:58 I remember watching the live stream, and WHEEZING because of how contagious Julias laughter was, combined with how long it took her to finish the joke. Shes a national treasure Edit: 29:44 This came close second
Inspired by Julia’s private room joke (warning, it’s actually so dumb): I died and they sent me down to that fiery guy’s house. He had this secret, locked room in his house with one of those big door knockers with a bell. I knocked and the bell went off as the door opened. Guess you could call that a Hell Den Ring :)
y'know when you're in a movie theatre and you realise that you've forgotten to put your phone on silent so you're just sitting there hoping that your cell don't ring?
Wow, I cannot believe how many episodes it took for Julia to get to the small private room! I am watching this and cackling while I eat my breakfast. New favourite compilation. Thank you!
The quality of some of these jokes and seeing them in all arranged in succession has taken years off my life. However seeing Jacob and Julia laughing so much has added years back on, so it all works out around even.
3:01 The funniest thing is, I follow a streamer that played Elden Ring Fit, by which I mean every time he died in Elden Ring he did an exercise from Ring Fit Adventure. It was the continuation of his Dark Swoles playthrough where he did a workout every time he died in the other games.
Julias external 'Joke' process is like the articulation of what vamping when you havn't prepared anything feels like 😅 It's either 'the punchline from NOTHING and you have no idea where that came from' or 'every incredebly unnecicary detail in the thought process verbalized' 😄😄😄
This whole series of intros was so warm and fun. Plus, circa 17:50 Julia looks like she's modeling for the Jesus half of a pietà, which is how you know your joke really landed with the audience.
I was doing fine, enjoying my memories of these jokes from when I first heard them and appreciating them even more... but then I hit around 20:35 and Julia uttering the phrase "A small private room" and I had to pause because I just LOST IT knowing the storm that's about to unfold. I need a breather, I legit might have to finish watching in a few hours. I'm not ready, she nearly killed me the first time and the setup alone is making me weep this time.
obsessed with this video format. the equilibrium. jacob will razz julia on a constant about her private little room and then jacob turns around with "sheldon ring". this is an equal marriage.
The problem with glasses of cold drinks leaving a ring on a coffee table is that it's not the liquid from inside the drink that is left behind, but condensation from the air cooling enough that it changes from a gas to a liquid on the surface of the glass because it's cold, and then dripping down. It's just water. Whatever water is in your air. In your small private room. 😂
I can't believe that Jacob's joke about having people over to your small private room, and they have a drink but don't use a coaster, didn't end with you being mad about how the glass left an imprint of that ale damn ring!
The whole bit from 5-7 minutes with Julia laughing, I've never seen them love each other more. Like yeah, they're definitely married, look at him looking at her. That's love.
The only joke(s) I remembered from the Elden Ring streams was the little private room one(s) so I was shocked that it took 20 minutes to get to the first one!
"Elven Rings" was actually one of the good ones in concept, but between the two of them they just refused to land it properly. It was like an ultralight plane bouncing off the runway repeatedly, both pilots flailing around and wobbling the plane. And then they decided to try flying inverted for a bit, and, well...
Such a goal to find another bisexual to torment with your puns “I hate my wife! Is that better?” “Olive do you like the joke?” “Olive do you like the joke :)”
I have rewatched the Elden Ring series many times, and the jokes are some of my favorite parts. Thank you for this compilation. The edits make it even better like zooming in on the mic when Jacob taps it, Julia's face when she's thinking or dying from laughter. Thank you for the time spent making this
thank you so much for this edit!! My very favorite SSS compilations ALWAYS are yours, Reina!!! You really got the timing right and elevate their best moments! Thank you!!
"Yknow what you go into your small private room and you have a coffee table in this" okay this was the quickest I clicked onto where one of them was going 😂😂😂 Edit: okay yknow what I was half way there but no...I did not predict the pun......just the nature of the ring that was involved 😂😂
Everyone knows about the “I hate my wife” aspect of boomer comedy, but an element Jacob captures in his “Al dente rings” joke is the unnecessarily long set up. Having the whole bit about the restaurant and bringing out the chef just for the joke to be a stupid pun. So many of my older family members say jokes like this as if the long wind up makes the punchline better, when it always makes it worse.
sometimes it looks like it physically pains julia to attempt a joke. like it takes a significant toll on her mind and body trying to make the funny happen. someone save her
I got a variant of that "Lord of the Rings" bit! "Kids these days...always talking about Elden Ring, but never talk about ringing their Elders!" *rimshot*
I've never played Elden Ring nor know anything about it so I didn't really watch these streams but this was an absolute joy 😂😂 I had seen the small private room bit though 😂😂
i am rarely ever able to catch sss streams or find time to watch vids so your videos are some of the only places i get sss content. and may i say you truly never disappoint. such an absolute legend for doing stuff like this.
Im a trans woman and every time i wear my hair down and parted to the sides with a baseball cap i feel such gender euphoria because i think of Julia telling possibly the worst joke on Secret Sleepover of all time 20:00
Classic terribly bad joke from me again: I made a special item for my Vulcan Star Trek cosplay to wear to Comic-Con. It’s so fun because it enables me to link my thoughts with other cosplayers! Call that a Mind-meldin ring (sorry!)
