Nice video, but I think you got the facts about melt and vaporize wrong. First off, you have forward and reverse vape backwards. Forward vape is hydro on pyro aura, while reverse is pyro on hydro, e.g. Xiangling and Hu Tao teams all rely on reverse vape, where you maintain hydro aura with Xingqiu/Yelan/Childe/Furina and then vape with pyronado or Hu Tao charged attacks. (See ref 1) Vaporize: - forward, e.g. Childe's burst when Xiangling's pyronado has established a pyro aura - reverse, e.g. Xiangling's pyronado hits an enemy that Childe has been attacking with his skill stance hydro attacks Melt: - forward: Hu Tao burst while Ganyu's burst is active and has applied cryo on enemies - reverse: Ganyu charged shot on an enemy with pyro from pyronado or Kazuha burst with pyro infusion You're right that reverse reactions are better than forward ones, but it's not because "there are no good cryo nukes available." Having a cryo nuke in fact makes *reverse vape* powerful, and both Ganyu and Ayaka are great at that. However, C2 Ayaka does not make her do more melt reactions. Her additional mini-storms share an internal cooldown (ICD) with her main burst attack, which means her cryo application occurs at exactly the same frequency as at C0. (See ref 2) The reason reverse is better than forward is because of elemental gauge. When you do a forward reaction, more of the underlying aura is wiped out than if you did a reverse reaction, which makes it harder to sustain the underlying aura. When you apply pyro to cryo for forward melt, you'll likely remove the cryo aura completely, and if you apply your next pyro attack before the next cryo one, you're going to apply a pyro aura, and then your cryo character is going to start doing reverse melts instead. This is a problem if your main DPS is the pyro character. Now, you have the melt amplifier on the weaker cryo attack from your support instead of the stronger attack from your pyro DPS. In the case of the reverse reaction, applying cryo on pyro, the cryo attack from your main DPS will not completely wipe out the pyro aura. If your main DPS applies cryo before pyro is applied again, the most likely scenario is that you'll simply do another melt which will only then wipe out the underlying pyro, and hopefully by then, your pyro applier will be back to apply pyro before the next cryo application.
