Not sure if it was a bug but I found when encountering Crawlers, when they attacked by rushing me they kept 1 shotting me even with full health. Happened lots during the last boss when they appeared.
@@Tyrique-fn3kv arguably the worlds first survival horror and Lovecraft based videogame but while it may have inspired or led the way for resident evil it never really took off, not helped by numerous disastrous reboots and an awful movie.

May also assist that the final boss ISN'T Shub, but one of her Dark Young. While Shub has a heavy focus, there's a few notes/bits of dialogue that mention her children, which are the Dark Young and the final boss is EXACTLY one.
