The Eiffel Tower falling in MW3 always gives me chills no matter how many times I watch it. MW3 was by far the best CoD campaign there was alongside BO2.
og MW3 campaign has the most destruction out of any CoD. Sad that new CoDs show destruction scenes in a cinematic video cutscene instead of a live event type of thing
In my opinion, I feel like Ghost was overhated. It was one of the first CODs I played when I first got my 360. Had a blast and was amazed with the campaign wanting there to be a second one but later found out they cancelled it

Imagine or remember from 2007 up to 2013 Peak COD era, every release was a hit and felt like you are in an action movie, people would line up to gamestop for the game, the multiplayer lobby was more toxic than Chernobyl God I miss those simpler times.
For me, the best one had to be the plane, and the Eiffel Tower from og mw3. As for the new destructions, the sdf orbital shipyard, and the battle when you take control of the sdf super carrier olympus mons
These scenes are so photorealistic but the sound effects feel faked. I don't know if the developers intended to do this. Just to list a few, 0:28 you don't hear the plane's engine, 1:07 you don't hear the train and the jeep sliding on the rail, 2:00 you don't hear the ambience of gunshots in the battlefield, 3:46 you can't hear the helicopter, 5:19 you can't hear the rain or the sea or the splash of water, 15:40 you don't hear the city ambience or the debris hitting the ground. However some scenes are filled with epic music so they feel full and imersive. That's part of the reason why I love the MW series so much.
most of it is on purpose. you can actually hear the gunshots in ww2 for example but as soon as the scripted event starts the game tries to give the player a adrenaline rush type of vibe
Call of duty Ghosts had 3 more epic destruction scenes that could've spiced up that section... 1: Atlas Falls: The flare stack explosion and the whole platform blowing up at the very end of that mission. 2: End Of The Line: The final segment where you escape the Weapons Factory as its getting leveled by stealth bombers. 3: Severed Ties: The ending scene where the missile strikes the ground array when you escape it in the tank...
Call of duty has INSANE graphics in those epic movie-like cutscenes, I’ll give em that. Thing is, for that hefty price of what, 80 bucks when a new one releases these days? And for like only 4 hours of gameplay? Your not really getting your money’s worth in my opinion. That’s why I’m personally more of a open world kind of guy lol.
Honestly this was always a part of what made call of duty great. Great detail in the campaigns. When you play the campaigh and see landmarks get destroyed, you can see think about how it would affect the daily lives of people, it made it feel real. Like this could happen. They clearly lost sight of that, and it is just a damn shame...
Previous modern warfare epic destruction scenes: nukes, whole New-York under siege, battle in Washington DC New modern warfare epic destruction scenes: oil rig boom Well, that’s kind of pathetic
This over the top explosions and destruction was the best about CoD. Sad that they removed this (partly) and only do "Damn.... War is bad. No one is the good one" stuff.....
