Shooting Star Dragon was one of the most popular and feared synchro monsters ever created. A monster that can NOT ONLY negate your opponent’s attacks, spells, and traps by sacrificing itself then come back to the field at the end of your opponent’s turn, but it can attack MULTIPLE TIMES (up to 5x) depending on how many tuner it finds when it searches the top 5 cards in your deck! And EVEN IF you destroy it, it special summons Stardust Dragon in its place from the graveyard.
The summoning condition of shooting star is too hard. Irl people just straight up go for shooting quasar due to easier summoning condition and put shooting star in extra deck just for shooting quasar floodgate effect
@@doddysputra358 That is true, meaning that SSD isn’t made for OTK, Burn, or Speed decks and strategies. It looks like it was made/designed for prolong/stall strategies and such, as in it’s made for the “long game”. The longer the duel drags out, the more likely SSD can be summoned as you set up and gather what you need to do it. Red Nova Dragon IS easier to summon, however it requires tuners in your GRAVEYARD to use its special abilities.
@@doddysputra358Shooting star isnt harder. It's no reason to go into it over Quasar Dragon or any of its other variants. The 5 attack is unreliable and Quasar got free negate with double attack minimum iirc.
@@Jinkuzu yup, people put shooting star just because shooting quasar floodgate effect. Heck, even some people didn't put shooting star in the extra deck even though they use shooting quasar. I myself when playing synchron deck didn't put shooting star, and sometimes didn't put quasar except playing second. It's other variant like cosmic blazar and shooting savior/majestic had better effects and better for either being first or second
Team 5d’s was one big family drawn together by fate. Love it. This is like when Yusei was going clear mind and all of team 5d’s was shocked with Jack saying “you’re going to do it Yusei?!” As he’s preparing to see his brother go all out against their foe
Decided to make a variant of this guy my ace monster with my Super Heavy Samurai deck in links. I wanted something unique. Shooting Stardust Dragon TG Ex. Lower attack but really good abilities. Plus bc im running a machine deck and my fav color is blue its good bc this thing is a mecha version of stardust dragon.
Update. Found a good replacement. Rampaging Smashtank Rhinosaber. (Quite a name right?) Simpler card. Plus if I combine it with Gate Blocker and Magnet it'll be a good substitute.
I like how when Stardust Dragon was under Jack's command, it had just a monstrous bellowing roar. But when Stardust Dragon returned back to Yusei (as well as under Aki's command), it sounded more like a magnific howl
Thanks for the summon compilation with good quality, I like it a lot. I'm just mad that Yugioh's summon with good quality just keeps being taken over time. P/s: Can you do a compilation of all of No.39 Hope's forms?
Stardust Dragon was my favorite monster as a kid but sadly I wasn't able to get my hands on one until I was older. It's too bad he's useless in the game currently. Oh well. There are always the old video games.
Stardust Dragon, one of my favorite Dragons (despise hating the Dragon Type) Great compilation! Can you do one with the Superheavy Samurai? Or the X-Saber? From Arc V
I don't care if its not a "Proper" translation, the term *"Clustering"* sounds so much better than "Come together" or "Gathering". It comes with the impression of crystalized light clashing against itself to create a new power.
@@Sliferslacker29 ye cause konami made a "summon animation" for it for commercials. stardust charge warrior only exists in the manga, and blazar (ok it appeared in the anime, but just as a tiny card shown in the cancelled future of Z-ONE) only ahas a chant from duel links I think and no animation either.
@@Sliferslacker29 sry I meant stardust charge warrior only appeared in the manga (in which it had a summoning chant, but ofc no animation as it is the manga), stardust warrior had the commercial animation shown in here.
@@magemaster724 Thank you so much for the info, I'll see if I can find an English sub somewhere online. Almost forgot to leave a Like for not only an Awesome video, but also for your Professional attitude/response to my comment 👍🏽.
Akiza should've had her own twist to the chant. They shouldn't have made her say Yuseis' version. Something like... "Gathering light, show us the way, bring hope in this hour....." It's not right but you get it. Jack had his version of the chant because of who he is, she should have had one too.
Savior Star or Majestic Star Dragon has an ability to negate and absorb a monster effect but the monster only lasts for 1 turn. Shooting Star Dragon can banish itself to negate an attack and negate any destruction effect without cost and can last at any turn if you managed to make it last at least 1 enemy turn. Therefore, Shooting Star is stronger, at least in my opinion.
