I like how simple it is to make an enemy out of the Powder Gangers early in the game but Dawes immediately sees through a disguise in one of the earliest occasions you could try and attempt to use that mechanic.
@@twinzzlersno one has ever said it was flawless. it's great but definitely has quite a few problems holding it back from the realm of "almost perfect" games like the gameplay and numerous bugs.
tbf the line makes sense. these dudes would know who they spent months or years sleeping working and eating with. if he doesn't think he's ever seen you before in a prison that small, that's valid
@@felkrosis8703that's fair, but how come the BOS don't realize you're not one of them? You'd think they all know each other at least as well as the Powder Gangers.
idk if you're being sarcastic or not, but Brotherhood intelligence reports that they are, in fact, locked in a stalemate. Of course Legion has an upper hand, but if Brotherhood intelligence is correct, then they don't have the resources necessary to launch a full frontal assault on Forlorn Hope
If you do the We Are Legion quest and ask Dead Sea why he hasn't destroyed the NCR forces in Forlorn Hope, he says that Caesar has ordered him not to attack further.
@@noahtowler8469it makes sense, it’s better to keep the NCR stretched out in a war of attrition than to crush the camp. Time is definitely on Caesar’s side
@@xxlCortez for a dude who wished to resurrect the Roman Empire he’s sure missed his Latin lessons. The voice actor is great but it understandable that he won’t have a perfect pronunciation. The charisma is what matters so why nitpick to others?
Lots and lots of corner cutting. They reused and recycled tons of assets from Fallout 3, Bethesda was doing (or sometimes you would feel not doing) quality assurance, and they simply axed content they could not make in time. Also had that crazy magician Sawyer, who somehow kept tabs on everything.
I wish there would have been different dialogue for NCR engineer jumpsuit, like they’d treat you as contracted/specialist and not just any other soldier
I never got the BoS one, instead they come out before I even get close to the door where they make you a prisonner if you didn't bring Veronica and when I wear a BoS Power armor
@@vaulthunter1173you can, but then they come out and the story goes as normal. Afaik, you cant get this dialouge since by the time you get power armor training in any way, the bos already comes out and kidnaps you
There’s a reason you can’t, if you did you’d be a lot more limited to what you could do, and many of the quests are built off of you not being from NCR.
@@lildaiki7629 To be fair a lot of people would unironically love that, like in Fallout 2 when you could disguise as an Enclave soldier at Navarro and get assigned guard duty, and Sergeant Arch Dornan would come by your post ever few minutes to yell at you it was fun
If you played Skyrim, you'd notice that player ends up being a leader of about every faction they come across. That's a Bethesda thing. Interestingly, you can officially join BoS in fnv. Macnarma tells you something like "You probably have business left for now, so I won't stop you, but please return to us once you've finished. Brother." You can come up with your own headcanon that Courier joined NCR after the game as a senator or something. Even after the game Courier is still just an avatar of your choices
@@time_keeper643I'm scared that those headcanons might get ruined because of the tv show possibly declaring a canon ending to NV. With Mr. House appearing in the pre-world flashbacks and them teasing new vegas in the show i hope they don't declare one ending canon over the others
Honestly this is a mechanic I wish they kept in fallout 4 were you had to use disguises to infiltrate other factions or access restricted areas now yes there is mods that can fix that but I wish they included it in the base game because it was a cool mechanic in the older fallout games
only one I'd ever done was the khan one, although in the context i wasn't really even in disguise, since the khans sent me over to sell to the fiends, and I'm fairly sure they technically make you a member if you get to idolised with them
@@colddaze6680 Yes. The general rule of classical latin is this: "a" = "ah", "ae" = "aye/eye", "c" = "k", "e" = "eh" (I think sometimes "ay"), "i" = "ee" like "Leeds", "j" = "y", "o" = same way you say the letter "o", "u" = "oo" like "stool", "v" = "w", "oe" like the "oy" in "toy"
@@colddaze6680 there's also no rhetoric. For example, if you say "order," chances are that you're mixing "o" and "r" together instead of pronouncing them individually. Also forgot to mention this, but most "r"s in Classical Latin are tongue-rolled, kind of like how it is in Iberian or Italian languages.
No checks, no asking for badge no. Or smth...no wonder ncr has trouble finding legion spies. Kinda unrelated. Its weird how i finished 3 dlcs, got lucky shadr. And only helped camp mccarran so far. Fully geared up and gonna run around the mojave fetch questing for ncr now. Try my best to find house independant from ncr mod that would be compatible with post game mod
The disguises are so you can traverse areas you have infamy in, talking to/ going near higher ranks will get you spotted. You can play with this more during Legion runs or helping Powder Gangers.
You missed one dialouge with Major Knight at the Mojave Outpost and Two with LT. Haggerty at Helios One. You can say your a Soldier when first meeting him and asked what your job is. Depending on NCR rep haggerty either comment that its good to have anothe soldier or if your rep is bad she will comment that your uniform is covered in blood and open fire
