lmao, I don't think what's played in 1:16 is the fatui leitmotif. it's just his leitmotif, like signora and childe has their own too and scaramouche's just happen to sound a bit closer to the fatui's.
This video overlooked one thing; in the first phase of Childe's boss fight, there's actually a leitmotif when the usual chinese melody gets incorporated with accordion. Look up Never-Ending Performance, Childe's first phase OST.
The "Monoceros Caeli" chant in the end of childe's second phase theme is so gorgeous, I wish he was tanky enough so we could listen to his entire theme

signora and childe having a many fatui leitmotifs in their ost saying that they're very loyal to fatui. unlike scaramouche and arlecchino plays it 1 or two times that's because they're not very loyal.

I feel like the Fatui leitmotifs have to do with how much their boss relates with the fatui itself, Childe: The letimotifs are clearer, since the Fatui assigned him with the mission to awaken Morax. Signora: Fatui issued a mission to retrieve the Gnosis (despite Scaramouche have already secretly taken the Gnosis), therefore her Fatui leitmotif is also clear. Scaramouche: There are MANY leitmotifs throughout his boss fight, since not only is he assigned with the task to become a literal God, and he is also in co-operation with Dottore. Arlecchino: I think that the leitmotifs weren't as clear since this was more of a personal matter within the House of the Hearth, but the leitmotif was there as a gesture to signify her Harbinger position.
@CountMonsparkle just because it sounds similar doesn't mean it's supposed to be a distorted version of it. Wanderer is no longer a Harbinger but the melody still plays at the end of his demo theme, so it's not supposed to be another variant of the Fatui theme. The similarities are probably intentional but even so, it's still not the same melody. Same with Arlecchino's theme "Caliginous Hearthfire". It sounds similar at some parts but it's still considered a different melody.
Scaramouche 1st phase with the heartbeat polyrhythm slaps by far the hardest. May not be the best theme overall in everyone's opinion, but that transition into the heartbeat was fucking sick and nothing has topped it yet
I think Scaramouche has the best theme overall, second is Signora. Arlechinno however, I was a bit disappointed, there's something missing, the oomf, I love her theme more in The Final Feast, it's more intriguing, and Enigmatic. LMAO
@@cassidynoel6930 Arlechinno theme is a downgrade tbh. Her the final feast appearance theme hit harder than this. It can't even top devouring narwhal theme. Same with her demo theme, I expected more. Out of all the harbinger themes, Signora and Scaramouche will forever be ICONIC and will age like fine wines.
The BGM really resemble their personality and desires: Childe (Ajax): Loves To Fights and Won't Holding back if he want to, Has The Potential To surpass Any higher Beings in The Future, Now Partnering With Traveler La Signora (Rosalyne): Fighting as this is her last resolve to win against The Traveler, but unfortunately she indeed "Fell"... Her status: RIP Scaramouche (Kunikuzushi): before becoming Wanderer, he's so Obssesed to becoming a God, and feels like no one could stop him... But then again it's wrong, As a Wanderer: Partnering with The Traveler and Nahida Arlecchino (Peruere): she knows what she's doing, this is all part of her plans and she had no killing intentions, only to test their resolves (Traveler and Her Beloved Trio), Like sheep in Wolf Clothing, Father is looking scary yet Villanious on the outside, But she's good in the inside, opposite of Crucabena, Even Lyney knows Her "Father" well, Now Partnering with The Traveler Can't wait to see Capitano and Columbina, and what will be our Relationships with them 🔥✨
I kinda would like to see capitan being possibly the strongest human in teyvat or something, but just an absolute pacifist like when he met varka. An interesting dynamic where he is super friendly and open to anyone, but could snap at any moment and destroy half a nation or something like that.

Honestly I would describe Arlecchino as a Sheep in Wolves clothing rather than a wolf in sheep's clothing, because she doesn't come off as caring or loving as the previous "mother" only to be dangerous and awful, now that's a Wolf in sheep's clothing, while our Arle acts uncaring, cold, unforgiving etc. and in reality she clearly cares deeply, no matter how hard she tries to hide it that's a sheep in wolves clothing.
Interesting thing about Columbina she might just be unsettling but not a villain, Capitano in Arlecchino's opinion is worthy of his power, and that he has responsibility over it.
The Gods are overrated af and all of them are all childish or either boomers. I love the Harbingers more because they're relatable at all aspects and some of them are just humans who happened to be betrayed, misunderstood, and abused, and each has a different story to tell. Plus the harbingers, are cooler than the archons LoL.
I believe all Harbingers have their own motives which are all based on Fatui's theme (and it's not just the fatui motive repeating in every boss fight, but also their own)
Childe and Scara will always be my number 1 favourite. Especially Scara. His first phase never fails to give me the chills and his second phase can never stop making me cry, sing and dance at the same time
Not only that, he has that BGM vibes "The Youngest one with the most Potential in The Future, he could surpass most of the Higher Beings" So no wonder lol even though he ain't a villain
possibly, though some have debated that the book she was obsessed with may just have relations to Signora and thats why they allude to that in her theme. I dont know the details. Personally i like the idea of fatui fischl tho@@wakette
Ehhh idk if Scaramouche’s really counts. Ominous Fandango is similar to the Fatui motif but not exact. Both motif start with 4 notes, 2 pairs. The Fatui motif has the first pair descend, while Scara’s ascends. Both of the second pairs descend, but Scara’s motif adds a glis between the pair. They completely skew apart at the end. I think it’s just that Scara has his own motif that’s just reminiscent of the Fatui motif. Figures, cuz he betrays them the first chance he gets lol
Fatui Harbingers Boss Theme Rankings: 1: La Signora 2: Tartaglia 3: Scaramouche 4: Arlecchino All of them are good, but that is my opinion on the rankings
For me its: Scaramouche Tartaglia La Signora Arlecchino I might rank arle's theme higher in the future, it takes some time before the boss osts begin to grow on me
I know this video is focusing on the boss fights, there are a few instances of the Fatui motif in cutscenes and other material. I'd be surprised if it didn't appear in A Winter Night's Lazzo, but I don't think it's ever been more hype than when Childe appeared fighting the narwhal in Chapter 4's Archon Quest.
Arlecchino's boss fight had nothing to do with the gnosis. It was a personal matter between her and Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet. So it could be something similar to that.

You're right, but the title of the video states leitmotifs, choir AND instrument comparison. So it's not a video entirely of the Fatui leitmotif, but rather a comparison between different aspects of their themes.
@@tdlvidklp8833 but the way the video shows a fatui emblem on some notes that are not fatui leimotifs is misleading. like the shouki no kami 1st phase doesn't contain any, and arlecchino's 1st phase there's only the one at the end.
The fatui leitmotif in Arlecchino’s 1st phase at the beginning does technically still count but it’s just more broken up and it doesn’t sound like the original leitmotif, it’s just another variant of it
