Loved the series, very enjoyable. Some ideas for other videos: How about a video on the background of the most commonly failed spider chip and what it exactly does. I know it would be fairly technical, but I would like to know what the most commonly failed spider chip does and its basic chip architecture. Trivia like why that spider pin architecture never took off, or any other trivia on the chip. How about a video of the shop itself, going through the various sections of the shop and product catagories. What sells, what does not, etc. Just would like to get a view of the shop. How about a video of your storage area. You mentioned you have strorage area where you have many many games in bad shape. It might give away some of your future projects, but maybe people could pick out a game they would like you to fix. Or challenge you to fix a particular game. How about a video on your parts inventory. Something that shows the spare boards and parts you have accumulated over the years, and the most common new parts you keep in stock. How about a a few more videos of true EM arcade games from the 1960s and early 70s. I think you have only done a tiny number of these. The one you did of that driving game and how the projection was done was very interesting.

I truly enjoy all your videos. You are doing a superior job saving these vintage games, even when they're in rough shape. It is sad when most of these games just get wasted in a landfill and rot. I was wondering about the ball that is inside these machines. Is there only one ball and it returns each time it pops back up on a counted setting; or; are there multiple balls inside. How big are the balls in normal pinball machines because I noticed in your Baby Pacman video that ball looked extra large. I used to have two of the miniature toy pinball machines that had five balls inside. One was just a table top but had the playfield and backboard and the other tood on four legs, blue in color and was probably two foot high. I do not recall the brand names of either one but again, they had five actual balls inside; probably 1" round. The ball or balls inside these big machines may be 2" round; and my guess for the baby Pacman game; that ball could be a 3" ball because it looked much larger than normal.
@LyonsArcade
@LyonsArcade 3 года назад
thank you for watching Gary! The standard size of a pinball is 1 1/16", almost every game you've ever played used that size and this Lost World does too... that Baby Pac-Man had the same size pinball in it, but keep in mind the playfield is much smaller on that game so it makes the ball LOOK bigger... there are tons of different sizes though, on the oddball games, so for instance tomorrow we are going to be working on a new series of videos on a game that uses balls sized 3/4" ! There was also a big pinball machine called "Hercules" that used a CUE BALL as the pinball, I think they are 2 1/4". Good question!
@garylucas637
@garylucas637 3 года назад
Thank you for the information about the ball sizes. My other question was do the machines have multiple balls in them or just one and it cycles according to the number of ball settings the game has; even with "extra ball" modes?

Black paint is in reality very very very dark blue. True black would be the complete absence of light.
@SpearM3064

The closest to true black is Vantablack or "Black 2.0", which reflects less than 4% of visible light. Great series.. You did a great job on that machine. Did something go wrong in that last game when you lost the ball down the left side? The special was lit, which I thought based on your reading of the rules should have been an extra ball.
