Ladies and gentlemen, Jim Rash.
Look at me on the video grind lol. I had this idea a while back and I just now got around to finishing it. I'll update it as we get into Season 3 but for now, this'll just be for Seasons 1 & 2. I'll go back to doing AMV's/Tributes soon, I promise.

Honestly, Scrooge probably keeps him around because (1) He’s a good inventor and can protect his money, and make more, and (2) He’s two bad days and an explosion away from becoming evil, and Scrooge Does Not want to deal with a Gyro who’s actively TRYING to make evil robots.

Interesting take on Gyro, but his personality is here very different from his counterpart in the comics. That Gyro is a kind and gentle soul who is consistently well-meaning (but whose brilliant inventions are often misused by others, with grave consequences). This rebooted and somewhat redesigned Gyro is far more arrogant and sometimes a real jerk.

Well I mean the character change could just be a result in him feeling his inventions were used wrongly as you said. I'm sure anyone would end up changing if they were being used and would want to be more independent and make their inventions better than anyone else's so that only they can use it themselves. To be honest, I'd get fed up with that and would probably be the same way- ☆

One thing to note, is that his past self in the reboot seems to be like himself in the comics! In Astro Boyd, we see him in the past and he seems very unlike how the 2017 shows him, more like in the comics. Boyd turning “evil” really affected him it seems

Personally, I like all versions of Gyro from the original to the reboot. I mean. Original source materials is where you start with everything. It's definatley gotten me curious about his family lore in the original comics. It definatley makes me wonder what they're going to do with him in future episodes/seasons (if the series continues after Season 3) in regards to development and such
