@@Claddaghplanes My guy, the war of independance kicked off in 1919, Sinn Féin won an election in december 1918, but it didn't kick off until 1919. if you talkin about the easter rising, that was 1916. Even still, that wasn't the first revolution in Ireland
@@wilhelmzegota6744 it was still within the commonwealth until 1949, though the monarch had been written out of the law by 1937, since the game starts in 1936 it should still be a dominion and Ireland was still officially seen as dominion until 1949.
@@xE3xMaybe adding an event for Japan to create it would be the best solution. They will have to give new focus tree to Japan eventually so they might as well add some new events and maybe they could even add Mongol Empire as a formable nation for Mengukuo and Mongolia.
You didnt mention 1- "French Indochina" 2- More chinese clique/warlords 3- Kurdish Uprising in current turkey 4- Tunganistan and Tungan 36th Division wich were completly made out of Hui people 5- some Ports in ireland wich were under direct british control @@CupofHistoryy
Most of them are for performance issues obviously in a game like hoi4 that's already heavily cpu intense adding even more warlords that do almost nothing but slow the game down would make it less fun. Also they changed Pyrenees atlantic state to involve the full modern Basque country borders or at least as they would be if independent by now it's impossible to make the proper German occupation borders @usegffr-oj8zp9ig2x
They don’t care about protectorates. Otherwise, that could make something like 12 new countries that would basically function the same as they would in a normal game of HOI4. But, they should still be added.
i am only mad about the fact that there is no Moravia-Bohemia (the german puppet) and the General government (unless it is by puppeting Poland, i will have to see)
Some other mistakes are for example Gibraltar being way too big, South Africa owning Lesotho and Eswatini (previously called Basutoland and Swaziland) which should be under British colonial rule, and British Malaya and British Raj being puppets instead of direct colonies, like they were historically. Within China there's also the lack of many cliques, but also some cliques owning lands which they shouldn't; like Xinjiang owning Tunganistan or Guangxi owning Guangdong.
these are not only the only map mistakes, the borders in the game suck so bad, rt56 does it better but magna Europe does it best, I can't believe they couldn't do the countries right in a game that's literally a map 99% of the time
Burma was also under direct british control, and egypt was a british protectorate, i also think british owned newfoundland was way smaller and all european microstates are missing in hoi4. Also point roberts doesnt exist.
Great video, but its still missing a few things Firstly, the border between mongolia and the chinese cliques (including manchuria and PC) were different before the conclusion of the chinese civil war, secondly, the chinese warlords were more divided, the Ma cliques were pretty separate, xinjiang was not united, but divided, hoi4 does not include tunganistan whose head, ma hushan, was nationalist aligned ,egypt at the time of 1936 was a vassal of the british empire whilst being nominally independent, also for the comments saying ireland was fully independent by the 1936, it was a dominion of the united kingdom, similar to canada or australia, being named the irish free state until 1937 when it became the Republic of Ireland, In addition, despite what the comments are saying, mengukuo did not exist at this time, it was the peilingmiao council that existed in its place, not as a vassal of japan, but as a part of the republic of china during the start date of the game. and of course, many many cities are wrongly placed in the map, like peshawar, lahore, Haifa etc Literally unplayable
R56 does menguko a bit more justice. They start under roc control before immediately backstabbing them to swap to Japanese control...Starting to see the distinction without difference?
British Somaliland was bigger before WWII. Britain and Ethiopia made an agreement during WWII in which the southern Haud region would be transferred to Ethiopian ownership.
There are many more mistakes in this map than you pointed out. Guangxi was not a single clique, but was divided into the New Guangxi Clique and the Old Guangxi Clique (also called Guangdong). Additionally, in the south of Xinjiang there were territories ruled by someone from the Ma Clique (although it was a separate clique). Moreover, Egypt, although under strong British influence, was formally independent. Malaya could also be considered a mistake on the map. There were several principalities (I think 5, two were even incorporated into Siam after 1942) and a federation, and all of them were equally dependent on the United Kingdom. I also don't think there's any point in recognizing French Syria as a mistake. Yes, since 1925 there have been three French colonial governments there (Syria, Lebanon and another small one in southern Syria - the latter of which was incorporated into Syria in 1936), but I don't think there is any point in dividing it into protectorates (even if in the future Paradox would be thinking about updating the Middle East). I wouldn't really consider the existence of Mengkukuo to be an error on the map, I would rather say that it should have had a different, lower, puppet status in the game, but in general I wouldn't consider it an map mistake.
RT56 addresses a number of these, making Mengkukuo start as the mongol political committee and switch to being a Japanese puppet in their focus tree, sikkim exists, and so does Tunganistan, which was seperate from the Xinjiang Clique (Sinkiang) in 1936.
Egypt was a semi independent country that was in the commonwealth, governed by the longstanding egyptian royal family, stayed neutral in the war, but battles were fought in their country aa the british and them were militarily aligned. Britatin just didnt force them to join. They may have not icluded egypt as they didnt join the league of nations until 1937 Iceland was fully independent Newfoundland was a commonwealth state, widely recognized as irs own country in the same way canada was, and was in the commonwealth. The kingdom of sarawak in borneo Kingdom of sikkim was an independent country between nepal and bhutan The kurds were having a secesitionist movement and fighting for independence with their own unrecognized states In 1936 Asturias and Leon seceded from Spain and became their own countries again under a confederation. They were a de facto indepdent country at game start. Korea existed as a government in exile
youre wrong about newfoundland. it WAS a dominion (which is what i assume you mean by "commonwealth state") but not within the timeframe of the game. in 1932 they gave up their dominion status and became a direct colony of britain. in 1948 they were offered dominion status or confederation and chose to confederate as the 10th province
Sikkim was a princely state and if they show as another nation then they would have to do with so many more regions in the British Raj and by so many I mean more than 200
@@mappingshaman5280 they preferred to stay independent after independence but what I know is that people didn't like the rule under monarch they rebelled and joined India
I have a feeling that the issue with the colonial administrations will be solved with a DLC, probably adding new countries with the puppet system, like Syria, for example, being a mandate instead of raw french land, the only problem is that the mandate of Palestine would be weird to implement in game since the focus of hoi IV itself is WW2, and the first Arab Israeli war doesn't occur until after WW2 in 1947, so it would be really odd for allt to happen in late game where technically most times, the game it's over and there's nothing left to do
I think Paradox will not add any Nakba events for obvious reason. They don't even mention Holocaust and ethnic cleansing done by Germans in the game once.
I personally think the British Raj shouldn't exist in the game as it was never a dominion but rather a colony. Putting it on the same level as Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa (and Ireland) isn't really accurate
A: in game it isn't a dominion, it's a degree of autonomy lower than that B: making India a direct part of Britain would give Britain way too much manpower C: India had too big a role in ww2 to remove totally. Its not like for example Tanzania where they sent a couple thousand guys with no real impact.
In Road To 56 its morw historical and mengucko Is called Mongol Military Government or something or like that And you can create Reichskommissars and theres Mandate of Palestine-Israel and Egypt
@Shiro_.3 Sikkim for example become a state of India only in 1975. Mengjang start be mengjang only in 1939 before it called like Mongol Military Government then Mongol United Autonomous Government and only then Mengjang. Officially only in 1949 the Irish state abandoned its few remaining constitutional ties with the British monarchy, so i decided to tell about it
