That's the novelty (and dare I say beauty) of Nozaki-kun; it recontextualize anime and manga tropes (namely of the shojo genre) to make a comedic situation.
@@Demain1805 If you haven't seen it by now then here it is: Kashima decided put an a princess costume just for fun but Hori got angry and fixed her make up and wig himself, right after that he realized that he made her look like his type of woman. After all that he told Nozaki that he constantly thinks of Kashima's negative points so she doesn't become his type but he didn't found any. Later on Hori finally got to hear her singing and while everyone was feeling like they were being tortured Hori was the only one that said "If I can see her face blush like that, then I'm fine with her singing". More recently after an incident involving hypnosis he flat out told Kashima that he likes her and not long after that that he loves her.. Oh and also it turns out that Hori unknowingly really likes Kashima's legs, he just doesn't notice because he looks at her face. My god I'm a nerd.
@BTS _ forlife gekkanshoujonozaki-kun.com in particular is great. They post free translations of manga chapters (though they’re currently 3 chapters behind), and they also have their own Tumblr blog at Cash Money Chiyo where they post the chapters
Fun fact for Haikyuu fans!! Mikoshiba and Kageyama share the same dub actor, Kuroo and Nozaki share the same dub actor, Hori and Ennoshita share the same dub actor, Wakamatsu and Yamaguchi share the same dub actor, and Suzuki and Oikawa share the same dub actor
Of you like this ship GO READ THE MANGA!!! SPOILERS Hori practically confessed and they flirt in latest chapters. He even tells her that he loves her - 🙇
I hear Monica Rial plays lots of tsunderes over the past decade in anime, but now, she’s getting her ass kicked by an actual male tsundere, which is a breath of fresh air
Look I'm not one of those subs over dubs kinda guy, but man the voicing for Hori when he yells sounds so flat and fake. I love these character's dynamic, but the voices just dont have the same feel for me. Could have been a directing issue, or maybe they didnt want him to sound too violent. Who knows.
