Sorry, Steph, but with my terror of snakes, if my husband did that to me, I’d be headed to divorce court. My teenage uncles scared me with a snake when I was 3. I’ll be 77 in a few days and it’s still the most vivid memory of my childhood. Phobias aren’t funny. The terror for us is very real. Not a good thing to teach the kids.

To get shocked by a fence they have to be grounded, so if they jump the fence and aren’t touching anything else they won’t be shocked.
