It’s not often when a song really causes us to reflect deeply. But the biblical theology presented is simply compelling and so profound. It really is the gospel as a song. We were once lost in the dark, headed on a path of destruction that we ourselves did not care for and could not see. But Jesus shows us his unwavering love,mercy and grace - led us out of darkness to his ultimate sacrifice on the cross. That he might take our place. The song repeatedly reminds us that we ourselves can do nothing, but ultimately all we ever needed is Christ. We are therefore, called to live a life where Jesus is our centre.
