Thing is, if people are poking fun at you, including the boss you can pretty much assume your job is safe. It's when everyones angry you've got to worry. Most of the bosses I've had have never really grilled me for the mistakes I've made - they quickly worked out no one could kick me harder than I kick myself.

The loggers paid for logs. The remainder is yours to do as you please. Where I’m from. First-hand experience and apparently the same where he is.

out where we are, the loggers are required by law to remove everything on the block by a certain date, or they could be subjected to big fines as well as to burn deadfall and blowdowns and scraps nothing is to be left that can be considered wildfire risk or fuel that doesn't mean they always do but it is required nonetheless. And firewood cutters have their own areas that they are allowed to cut in but have to be permitted and not to cut any alive timbers, only dead trees, as well remove any snags as well.

Poor Crash he felt bad about almost flipping the truck Loggers should be required by law to clean up the mess they leave instead of leaving it up to the landowner to have to pay for cleanup out of what money they got from selling the timber

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Sometimes a normal day is a crazy day but it is normal. You never know what is going to happen. That’s life in a small business.

They always leave the tops, but they also generally don't log in people's front yards except for a few specific trees.

​@@mikesorg6746he did say it was loggers and they usually work in the woods not in someone's backyard. If he had gotten so called professionals in that comes with a premium and would have probably cost a dam sight more than what dp charged

​@@mikesorg6746 I've never seen a logging company take the tops. They usually just mulch them or leave them lay. And you've never had a logging company on your property because the price of wood right now is through the roof so I'm sure the landowner made out pretty nice.

It’s really sad that people without skills and tools have to pay other people with the skills and tools. That’s life buddy. Nobody said the landowner had to pay anybody to do anything. He could’ve learned to do it himself. He could also clean up himself. You can’t make someone a victim of their own choices. They already beat you to that.

Grass and small shrubs will take over. Give it a couple years.
