@@izzieb.2926 Well yeah it is, but when you hear the lyrics of this song, and think of Catra and Adora(Catra's love interest) in the song. It's like a message from Catra to Adora. "All i've ever needed was your love". Also because this is almost like a song of apology, Catra hurt Adora Multiple times ever since she left and she's regretting her decisions. And though she knows that they are enemies, she still hopes that Adora believes in her somehow. "I know that you had hopes for me, I hope you still believe in me". Just don't mind every time she said "Lord".
@@heyadorahowsithanging3786 I understand, but as someone who grew up Christian, this song's true message is really important to me (especially after recently gone through some stuff). And to associate it with a romance story..........it kind of ruins it for me and for people like me who have been listening to it way longer. I don't have anything against the LGBTQ community and I'm definitely not saying that we 'own the song'. We just wish that the original message was just a little more acknowledged. You don't have to believe in it, but maybe have just a little respect for it. And with all due respect, a lot of these fans probably wouldn't know of this song's existence if it wasn't for She-Ra. Again, nothing anti LGBTQ or anything, but associating the song with Catradora, for lack of a better term, "shallows it out". You get what I'm saying? There are plenty of aj michalka songs that aren't Christian that could work with Catradora. I'm not trying to offend anyone, this is just how I feel🥺
It’s been 4 years now. I decided to learn this song on piano a while back so I could sing it and show this beautiful song to my family. I sang it in my grandads care home before he passed away, I performed it in a school concert, and I won a self accompaniment competition with this too. With this song I found my confidence as a musician and I would be nowhere without it. Unlike the song, I really am where I wanted to be ❤️

This song reminds me that sometimes we hurt. That we search for everything except him to get happiness. But when we do we don’t get happiness. So we go into the worlds ways. Instead of Gods ways. But we realize that it is not working so finally we come back to Christ. He has a plan a will for our life. He wants to use us to spread the gospel today. In a broken world that we live in. Remember that heaven is our home not the world. He wants to use us even though we think we have walked as far away from Christ as possible. But the truth is that we are never to far away from Him, for Him to use us.
I kind of feel sorry for AJ Mich because it was supposed to be a very beautiful and touching Christian song but all I hear is a sapphic anthem for the Catradora (and no, nothing will change my pov this screams Catra)

I'm 60yrs grew up lynnfield ma .I grew up with horses and I went south in the early 1980s to gulfstream I was a great exercise rider new how do everything. Owners and trainers used me to do full workouts I was 16yrs already had went into horse shows jumping fences and then I went to Suffolk downs .I was thier when Suffolk Downs was flourishing. I just thought of the perfect last episode scenes with Catra and Adora dancing to this song with nice lighting and them looking at each other Catra is a little shy wile dancing and looks down a little Adora moves her head up with her hand wile they still dance together. I wached this movie in youth group and had a really hard week with a friend this song has been such inspiring song for me because all I need was his love
Just watch this movie and fell in love with this song. But, this video has a mistake in the lyrics. It is not I made this world my hope. It is I made this world my home. As Christians, this world is not our home and the character in the movie made this world her home. That is the meaning and why it is not hope in that part of the song. :)
