Galway should've won in 2012 but they just didn't want to win enough, I think they could do it this year, Cats are gone early this year amazingly but they've another 5 good teams to contend with some lovely hurling still to play!
Credit to the fantastic galway support. When i was at the 2010 final it was so loud it was scary coz all the stands started to rumble but christ sake the 2012 final was 10 times louder.Whenever Galway got a goal i went deaf for about a minute or 2 each time.
This was a great game! I had to watch it on my choppy DSL connection as it was being broadcast! Frustrating, but I'm glad I saw it live! I'm directing my friends in the US to check it out because it was so entertaining!
Well people play the game for the love it and not just for the money.Thats the romantic reason, the practical reason is that the market is too small for a full time professional league.Only a few games a year attract large crowds .Players should get paid in my view given the income they generate ,but they still have to work..At the moment te GAA are committed to the amateur ethos. Some of these players next week will be playing for there local parish in front of a handfull of it people
To clarify re throwing the hurley: "Rule 4.8 To drop the hurley intentionally, or to throw the hurley in a manner which does not constitute a danger to another player. PENALTY FOR ABOVE FOULS - Free puck from where the foul occurred. Rule 5.28 To throw a hurley in a manner which constitutes a danger to another player(s). PENALTY FOR ABOVE FOULS (i) Caution offender; order off for second cautionable foul. (ii) Free puck from where the foul occurred" So if ref interprets it as 4.8, no yellow card.
I'm a galway man, but that wasn't a free at the end, the galway man dived, but I don't mind, it's great to get the free, I used to play hurling I used to dive and get loads of frees, it was handy
Jesus christ.I hate the way people say that how come there winning everything and its not fair on other teams. Listen if people want to be as good as Kilkenny [Some teams are] they have to work hard at the game, very hard, not moan and complain that they arnt winning The Kilkenny team arnt just sit back and leave everybody beat them, its the same with any other county.
Team A 0 (Goal) - 00 Points Team B 0 (Goal) - 00 Points Goal like in Soccer counts 3 Points Over the Crossbar through the Posts counts 1 Point you say 1 Goal 3 Points for example it will be 6 Points!
coz it is just a little bit of the normal tussle and shuving. dont know whats wrong with that anyway joe canning is a big strong man and for his standards he shouldnt be falling to JJ
Also, loads of Kilkenny hurlers have been working hard on getting better since they were able to walk....literally. Some people say that this Kilkenny team are in a class of its own[not true].People have seen that Kilkenny can and have been beatin also trashed.
Barry Kelly was the worst ref ever, watching the frees what he's given to Galway when they clearly played man not ball is unreal and HE'S STANDING RIGHT BESIDE....
nah i wouldnt but its a shame the robots found a way to draw and then win, just a shame for hurling, all kilkenny have is hurling so its not really a surprise, its just getting very dull seeing then there year after year after year, wheres a computer virus when u need it that might slow them down
Same old story for Galway.Losing the All Ireland like 1990 after controling most of the match .They had their chance and blew it as usual When will they ever learn?
Thomas Kelly Yes I agree about 2015 but in 2018 they had played 9 games back to back and had a number of injuries. Where as Limerick had three weeks free from games. A huge difference that made alone. Limerick won by one point despite being dominant for most of the game, so they were not a great team people claimed them to be. I have been a Galway fan since my childhood and been heartbroken so many times by Galway’s losses but I’ll remain a fan. 😊🇶🇦
